In my judgment as an electronics practitioner I bet you're the most honest man in electronics work on youtube, i like the way you analise the causes of differents isues in a few seconds, and that's we called a profesdional work
YAY! It ALWAYS makes my day/night when I see there's a new post by NorthRidgeFix - THANK YOU, ALEX!!! (P.S. Just came across a Reddit post about how Alex is "The Bob Ross of the electronics field. Such a joy to watch." 😆😆 I LOVE IT!!)
I love your work and videos... I learn a lot with each video, in Argentina it is difficult to buy and get quality tools for most people... I have my own technical service, but I know that I don't have the knowledge at the level that you have, so when I can't with something I study it, I research it with my own scrap machines, and only when I perfect something do I offer it as a service... . studying and practicing is the best and your videos make it much easier for those of us who learn every day... I admire you! and I wish you the best always! Sorry for my bad english... 😊
Water could flow through the Via's in the PC board. Nice repair, always a pleasure watching the impossible repair become possible. p.s. My order was shipped the same day and was received in three days; California to Florida. Quick and efficient. Thanks to Pops.
Another awesome job from Northridge Fix!!! But I think the Big Boss does the toughest job.... I've learned a lot from your videos, thank you very much professor Alex!!!
we want more videos bro i love watching ur vidoes while sitting on the couch . i know it takes time to set the camera , record and edit. i don't think this community needs fancy edit just cut u will be fine thanks mate for ur video
Man you do great work! I want to get my 2.5 inch SSD 235 gig drive to you. Not getting power. I've seen a video you did with a 2.5 inch SSD drive. It was one of the diodes. I believe my drive has the same issue. Do you give estimates on your site?
boss of all bosses! the masses want a bizarro northridgefix video STARRING big boss!! ok I am the masses, but im sure there are others! BIG BOSS BIG BOSS!!
It depends. Basically the lowest temperature that makes your solder flow reliably, I think. Too high and you'll damage components. Too low and you risk getting unreliable solder joints due to solder not flowing well enough. So it depends on a lot of things like which solder you are using, flux or no flux (use flux!), components nearby, etc. (P.S.: Careful(!) preheating of the whole board can also help so the heat is not siphoned off so quickly.)
Hello I have a 3080 ti that used to get the infamous black screen %100 GPU fan speed while playing. I used to restart the PC and ignore it until one day the PC shutdown suddenly and the GPU never worked again VGA light ON. Months later, the GPU decided to work just fine EXCEPT that it doesn’t draw power from one of the only two 8 pin connectors. It only draws 2.80 W while gaming. I’m from Saudi Arabia. Could you please approximately estimate how much shipping and repair would cost? Idk how much I’m willing to pay to fix the GPU instead of buying a new one. PS, I’m not an oil prince.
Maybe it's "why bother of doing more if you can get away with doing less"? Especially if the customer already agreed to this with their "fix water damage only for recovery" disclaimer.

Seriously better than factory. Prob the only TH-cam acc that I have to restrict myself whenever Alex mentions what’s available at the shop 😂

Great video Alex. But why not save the pain and use the donor board?

I was thinking it was about to be an f bomb "what the.." pause...
I wonder if the customer wants the speaker cable fixed as well.
What temp are you using when applying heat to the soldering mask?
Do you get the donor stuff from the local landfill site or where ?
I like it all but I like the end animation also 🎉
Great work 👏
thank you so much🙏
Good job mate

How do you find board diagrams? I want to learn and memorize them

what temperature should your solder with?
Depends on what you’re soldering and where. More heat needed when there’s a big ground plane etc.
Edit: also depends what solder you’re using.

Do you have tutorial after water damage the ssd is not detected
Water damage is a toughy , trace damage between layers
Nice work❤
I have over 200 HP laptop motherboards from when I contacted with the BIE through the US Dept of Interior. Maybe I should send them to you.
What was spilled on that laptop?
I don't know how Alex stays patient with these Hiroshima disasters !!
Love your videos
Podrias poner por favor la traducción de audio al español que provee TH-cam, gracias.
I don’t fully understand why not fix everything. Can someone explain why they don’t want to fix it?

"Look at this hiroshima." lmao

Hp is trash
HP not really ..
Consumer products -- absolutely. Professional stuff -- it is still great. Just a lot more expensive than it used to be.
