    What a DAMN good video!!! Liked AND subscribed!!! EE here working on electronics my whole life and THIS is how you explain motherboard repair. With your strategy, you can get by without a schematic. Identify the main chips on the board, (Northbridge, CPU, Graphics, RAM, etc.) then Google their voltage requirements. Based on what the chip's function is you can figure out the power states for each and you'll know when voltage is supposed to reach them. Loved your "looking for an inductor for input" to each section trick too. Keep rockin'! 🙂

      @electronicsrepairbasics_erb  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much for your enthusiastic feedback. I'm really glad the video resonated with you, especially as someone with extensive experience in electronics. Your breakdown of the process is spot-o understanding the main components and their voltage requirements is key when troubleshooting without a schematic. I'm happy you found value in the inductor trick as well!. I'll definitely keep sharing more insights like this. Thanks again for subscribing and for your support, it's truly appreciated. Keep rockin' too!

    • @electronicsrepairbasics_erb
      @electronicsrepairbasics_erb  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      What is the type of your laptop please. In some cases, the current sensing resistor may be located elsewhere or integrated into a different part of the circuit. If it's not visible, it could also be part of a different component like a shunt resistor. I recommend closely inspecting other areas near the power supply circuit, especially around the power management IC. You could also refer to the motherboard's schematic, if available, to trace the current sensing path. Let me know the type of your laptop to help you locate it

    Why does every inner circuit have one such entrance inductor?

    • @electronicsrepairbasics_erb
      @electronicsrepairbasics_erb  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you for your question. The entrance inductor in a circuit plays a crucial role in filtering and regulating the flow of current. It helps prevent sudden changes in current, which can protect sensitive components from damage and improve overall circuit stability. If you're interested, I can make a more detailed video on how inductors function in circuits. Thanks again for watching

    • @electronicsrepairbasics_erb
      @electronicsrepairbasics_erb  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A broken inductor can definitely cause display issues like a white screen, as it plays a critical role in power delivery to various components. I recommend checking the affected area for any further damage or missing components and replacing the inductor with one of the correct specifications. If you need further guidance, feel free to share more details, and I'll do my best to assist

      @@electronicsrepairbasics_erb it's a Lenovo g550 the indictor is by the LCD port named l6

    • @electronicsrepairbasics_erb
      @electronicsrepairbasics_erb  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the additional details. In the Lenovo G550, the inductor labeled L6 by the LCD port is crucial for the display power circuit. I recommend checking the surrounding components, as damage to this inductor can affect other parts of the circuit. You should replace the inductor with one of the same value and specs, be sure to refer to the schematic or boardview file for the exact details. feel free to ask

      @@electronicsrepairbasics_erb how do you recommend I find the same inductor with same valur

    • @electronicsrepairbasics_erb
      @electronicsrepairbasics_erb  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To find a replacement with the same value, I recommend checking the motherboard’s schematic diagram if available. It will typically show the exact specifications of the inductor, including its inductance, current rating, and sometimes the manufacturer part number. If the schematic is not accessible, you can try checking similar models or reach out to the manufacturer for the specific part information. Make sure to match the specs closely for optimal performance. If you need further guidance, feel free to reach out
