You know micro soldering takes a very specific amount of experience to understand to get to a point where Alex is at. Im looking at his videos and the precision and efficiency is unmatched. Im sure lots of us who only casually swap out logic boards feel like it's magic what he does but as many have mentioned the joy he experiences in his own success makes me smile like he can't believe his own magic.
Like fundamentally we all understand shorts and traces and clearing signal obstruction and allowing current to flow within tolerance is all you need to do(Dumbledore said calmly) but when you confirm it by turning it on... It's just as powerful as down right resurrection

Love your work, Alex ! You're a true master .
About the customer's battery, I had a similar incident.
I changed a USB-C port on a switch, and after it was done, I tested it with my own battery, and it was working . The minute I plugged in the customer's battery, it was stuck on 12v.
After some research, I read somewhere that the switch has a problem with completely dead batteries. Somehow, it doesn't communicate with the device.
So I peeled back the insulation on the customer's battery and connected it to my bench power supply for about 30s on 5v. Just so it can have a bit of juice.
Plugged it back in the switch, and it was working flawlessly.
P.S. : I encountered the same thing on an iPhone 8
    Hope this helped .
Keep up the good work, Alex

Respect!!! For the great work and the detailed explanations. Your videos first got me interested in the topic of "Micro Soldering". And tried it for myself. It takes a steady hand, a lot of specialist knowledge and a good deal of skill to get defective electronics back on track. I still have a lot of practice to be even halfway as good as you, but it's fun and gives me drive. Keep it up - I love your videos!!
