I have this same Alienware laptop and looks like they are starting to fail now. Great video on diagnosing shorts and finding the component needing replacement. I wonder if there's an alternative for someone that doesn't have the voltage injector?
It would have been very helpful if you showed us where you put the probes. Plz do that next time that would be very basic but matters a lot for us beginners

I have question about Nintendo Switch have no power , I already replace a new the M92T36 and BQ24193 still not working and then when I plug the charger the BQ24193 IC is getting hot even its new , what do I do next to check thank you
I didnt know a single knocked off component can completely destroy a motherboard and thats happend to me more times than i can count my xbox 1 x ,alienware 17 r4 ,rtx 2050 laptop ,and rtx 3050 laptop i figured no one would ever be able to find a missing piece like that at any shop ,and it was forsure a lost cause ,it seems every time i clean the fans 1 single small piece just barely gets bumped and falls off without me noticing it i just checked and seen empty solder slots on both my motherboards.
Being a good neighbour is a two way street. I bet you fix more things than they make sales. Would they like it if every time you repaired something you banged on the walls and hammered on the desk and ceiling???

Yes but the cost price ratio is insane so better sell it for parts and get a new one. Since there is no guarantee that even by replacing the cpu the problem will be fixed.

Why not turn down the room lighting...so you don't get false positive reflections on the thermal camera?
It's the infrared that needs to be reduced. I'm wondering if a panel painted with flat black paint, placed in the background, would work well.
