Beast mode on a 4 cylinder. It was adorable!
I know a 4 cylinder seems crazy guys but look at the specs! 310 horsepower, 348 ft pounds of torque.
And just so we all know a 2003 Silverado with a 5.3L made 285 horsepower and 325 pound feet of torque.
Technology has come a Looooong way!

But someone who isn’t towing a lot. But maybe needs a truck for hauling stuff in the bed, and needs it to get around in the winter this is a great option. Plus it gets really really fuel mileage. This truck has its purpose

The all new 2022 2.7T that comes out spring of 2022, increases torque from 348lb-ft to 420lb-ft. Can't wait for the upgraded LB3.
They made a new Chevy 2.7 with more torque.
Everybody laughs at the 4 banger but at least they aren't known for lifter issues like the new Chevy V8's all are lol.
I'd rather blow my 5.3 every month than drive a 4 cylinder pick up.
I’ve had 3 5.3L and all got over 250k original miles. These trucks should come with lipstick.

fellows and fellets the v8 is eventually going by the way side, iam an old timer and seen this coming, this 4 cyl turbo is an amazing engine and better than the electric motor, not engine coming our way so stop complaining. i use to be a v8 guy no matter what, ive owned them all and this 2.7 turbo truck which i justt bought i love it.
I have a 2021 sierra 1500 with the 2.7 - I had a 2018 5.3 Silverado and I like the 2.7 better. Tows a 16ft trailer weighing 4500 pounds like a dream. torque is awesome, turbo spool sounds right from the factory are great. I have no complaints as long as the engine lasts

Same here, had a 2016 5.3 and just picked up a 22 2.7, the 2.7 has way more power and punch

I am really impressed with my 22 2.7 refresh plenty powerful tows great and low mpgs only con is the sound. I wouldn't try to make that 4 cylinder sound good. I rather leave it as quiet as possible

I just bought a 2022 2.7 Chevy. No complaints I don’t need it to haul heavy things, plus I also have a scat pack v8 car. So I really don’t care if my truck is not a v8

As much as I wasn't a fan of Chevy releasing a 4 cyl full size truck I gotta admit they have plenty of power I mean you wouldn't want it it you're gonna plow snow or haul big trailers with heavy loads But as a construction truck or just a daily driver these trucks are solid I wouldn't slap an exhaust system
On it as it's hard to make a 4cyl sound good but as far as the trucks capabilities for day to day it's a great truck And in my house we have a 22 Silverado V8 and a 22 2.7 4cyl Silverado And when I hit the gas in both of em they feel pretty damn similar Only difference is the turbo takes a second or two to spool up

I have a 94 Z71 and ngl with the way gas prices are going up once the 5.7 350k mile V8 it has blows imma look for something more gas saver like. Maybe this engine since it makes more power and is close in power to a 5.3

The 2.7T will average 3mpg better than a 5.3L real world. This is due to around the same improvement to city MPG.
This might not seem like much but is equal to 72 miles farther every tank with the 2.7T. That would cost an additional $13.50 every tank with the 5.3L at today's $3 a gallon to make up for.
Over 100,000 miles that adds up significantly, costing over $2500 more in fuel cost for the 5.3l. The engine option also already cost $1500.
Now imagine you have a business and a fleet of trucks, MPG might not matter to you, but to most people it equals money they could spend on other things. The fuel savings in a fleet environment is substantial, saving thousands a year.

2021 went up to around 9300 lbs. tow and the new HO turbo with 420 torque has around 9800 tow for 2022 trucks 🏁

310hp and 348tq @1500rpm. I bet it pulls really well (within reason) That's a really really low rpm for a gas engine. It's also the same displacement as the smallest f150 ecoboost.
I actually think the 5.3 before the 2014 update only made 315hp and 335tq @ a whopping 4000rpm.
25 mpg is bullshit, i've got over 12k miles on mine and 21.5 is the best average i can get with the easiest of driving

those 4cyl turbos are a fucking joke lol. before they came out even the marketing said it had less power than a 6cyl even though it was turboed. The towing capacity on those 4cyl's are literally less than what the stock hitch can handle 😂
Have you driven one? I can tow in the winter just fine. There's a drag race on YT featuring the 2022 V8 and 2.7 Turbo and it was very close. I was skeptical as well but I wanted the gas mileage for work purposes. It's been great and with a few aftermarket mods even better. A friend of mine has a red one but crazy guy put an extra 10K into it and told me he smoked a dude with a Hemi so idk I've heard good and bad, maybe the manufacturing consistency was terrible but mine is great.
