    Paul and Bob in last Q&A talked about things that one needs to do after getting an "A" for improvements.
    I hear people tell others that after they buy an "A" they should get Les A's books, Ford Service Bulletin book.
    But before they do that they should watch all of the "Paul Shin Model A Guy" videos and Tina's "Model T" videos to see what needs to be done.
    I get bore with manuals and would rather see things get done.
    I don't even have an "A" right now and I look at the same videos every week including new vids. I have started to watch the Q & A sessions too.
    Keep up the great content and thank you all!

    Hey Model T and Paul! Some great questions and answers here. The instruction Paul was giving about the water pump replacement and nerfing the radiator hit home with me. I recently did that to my 1963 Massey Ferguson 65 tractor. I wasn't changing the water pump, I was attempting to clean rust from some screws that the oil bath breather had in it. I had a hand held wire brush with a scraper on it and wouldn't you know, I punctured the vein between the fins. Boy was that embarrassing and frustrating too. Nice video, enjoyed watching, I hope you and Paul have a great evening and good night too.

    I’m happy that you’re doing better Tina. I really want to get a Model A thanks to both Paul and yourself. I live in the South Florida area and there’s a lot of congestion with traffic. Can a Model A stay cool in a hot Florida summer sitting in traffic? I’m the kind of guy that likes to drive his antique cars and the both the traffic and summer heat are brutal here. Thank you so much for everything you do.

I wish there was a way to send you or Paul a pic. But. Terribly Unfortunately my model a blew up a cpl months ago. 😔😔😢😢 and of course just when the weather here starts getting nice. I’m Very Very handy and have been and built cars My whole life. However I’ve never changed the motor in a model a…. I have another to put in. I’m certainly thinking of changing the clutch while there. I’m sure it’s never been done. It’s 100% stock drivetrain wise. Anything I should do,look for,or tricks of any kind to help this adventure go a bit easier..?! Thank you soooooo much the both of you..! You’ve always been nothin but helpful and all around great..!

    Regarding the fellow who wrote in about his engine stamped F24589, that might not be an F. It might be the Cyrillic Г, our letter G. This stands for GAZ-A, the USSR copy of the Model A. Only 42,000 were made, so that would put his serial number in the middle of the run. Almost all GAZ-A bodies were phaetons.

    • @Modeltshinn
      @Modeltshinn  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s interesting, I didn’t know that…it looked like an F, but maybe you’re one to something?!

    The Ditzler book you are looking at is notorious for being incorrect on many colors. I have seen many cars painted in Copra & Chickle from that Ditzler book and they come out wrong. But people have seen those incorrect colors on cars for many decades and think they are correct. The MAFCA book was sourced from original Ford factory paint chips and color matched. They are correct.

    • @Modeltshinn
      @Modeltshinn  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting…well, our 1929 Fordor is factory paint and matches the Ditzler book perfectly, yet doesn’t come close to the MAFCA book.
      We will continue to research this, thanks. Have a great weekend 💗

      I always trust the color behind the firewall tag for a good match. Fortunately there are lots of Model A's still around that can be used for that purpose. The paint is extremely thin and can be rewetted with acetone, a good clue its orig. Also I frequently talk to people at meets that have a car with a good looking color on it like the right color and ask them about it. Once I did that on a Blue deluxe Roadster and the owner said he had it painted 55 years ago with Ditzler Lacquer factory package and he still had some at home in the orig can. Bingo, I now have a source for Washington Blue. It.s just a matter of a little detective work. Colors vary somewhat on any factory color, but blue rock green on 30-31 commercial vehicles acording to the MAFCA chip, sorry folks, not like the orig color behind the tag. Some of the others same problem. I also found a 19 inch wheel with what appears to have Hessian blue on it. I can't swear to it though but I'd lay odds on it being orig. It looks very convincing to be a wheel and stripe color too unlike the chip.

    Hi model t
    This is Tony out of Kentucky a replace one of brake Chambers on the right side cuz it was messed up but looking at the other brakes they're not the same type The new break is fiber pad and the other three breaks are pads My question is would you replace all of them or it would the fiber work well with the pads they have quite a bit of meat on them.
    Thank you Tony

    I heard somewhere that an F serial number was British. Maybe could ask where the car came from? On the leaky carburetor is it possible that the 10% ethanol gas in use today can cause seeping just as it does lawnmowers and tractors?

    Hi Paul and Tina. YOM plates, I bought a set of 1926 commercial plates for my truck some years back for next to nothing they do show a bit of time on them with minor rust but are in good shape does DMV require like new plates and if they don’t clear are they returned?

      Hi Martin, I’ve noticed that you put this comment on quite a few videos that I’ve done and I can agree with you on maybe one in the past, however I’ve listened to this video again on my iPhone and on the television and I’m just about as loud as Paul. I don’t know if you wear hearing aids or are in need of hearing aids? I have the closed captioning on so people can read when needed. A elderly man once told me that when a person’s hearing starts to go it’s usually the high end of pitch, I do have a higher end voice, this could be the problem for you? I’m happy you’re here and I will do what I can to sound louder on my end. Take care 💕
