Fantastic flying, love the slow smooth style, cant watch the flippy fast videos people do. Its a great little drone for a variety of things. I have 2 now!
Ken, I have no idea of the market, however, since you are an inventor and printer, it would be nice to have a phone holder to wear around the neck to hold the phone out so we could add audio to a Neo video while on a bike, 4 wheeler, or even walking. They make one for a Go Pro but it doesn't hold it away from the body for better sound.
I have the Avata2 but flew it with the MC3 controller. I bought the FPV3 controller but I only tried it on the simulator. I bought the Neo to start flying Manual before trying with the Avata2. As you said you can crash it with minimal damage and move to the bigger drone when you learn how to fly with the Neo.
It can give a person a taste of quite a few different control modes of you have the right gear. If I don’t own goggles or any of the various radios I am thinking it’s pretty lame, but DJI knows this is an addictive drug. They know of you buy this you will want more. It’s like hippie crack. FPV is very much like getting high on a new drug.
30fps tho... is the goggle 30fps when its 4k30? Only way to get 60 is to do 1080p60? If so, I'd have to still keep 1080p. The 4K isn't the best anyway, and 60fps for the enjoyment of flight would be more important than the footage. I'll use my Avata2 if I need both. This is the fun beater drone to fly around the house.
I would pick mini 4, even though it is not fpv the battery lasts longer and the camera quality aswell and range bigger aswell I have 3 mini and I am happy and I wouldn't change for Neo but in the end of the day is up to you
It's good. But those gaps. This is basically a slow fly through. None of those gaps really make a matter of the situation. Can't say a noob could've but. It's possible a noob could. I want to see real flying. Getting through there without crashing at that speed is nothing. However it picks itself up pretty well after a crash. That was impressive.
Awesome! Always check out your reviews and takes on tech I’m on the fence with. No sugar coat, keepin it straight up. Appreciate your time when you make these vids man. 💯🔥
Is no one even mentioning that dji false advirtised this release and it’s actually a preorder for October however dji doesn’t state this anywhere until your order is already placed. Just some shady stuff I’m suprised no one has brought up about dji. I guess anyone who has one currently was bribed by dji lol no one who actually paid out of pocket for one would have one yet…
Number one no one that is reviewing the Neo was paid by DJI. Number 2 we were not given a clear release date in the U.S for the Neo and were asked not to comment on that since that date could change. Number 3 if you are pissed about the release date bitch and complain to your senators and republicans house reps on the delays they are the reason for this… so point your finger are the country not the company
It's not "shady"... call your fucking govt representative if you want to know why there's a delay. Every other country in the world has them. Besides, no one is FORCING anyone to "pre-order ANYTHING. Wait until you can prance into Beat By and pick it up... supposedly on Sep 30th or don't buy it at all. No one gives a fuck. Dobo isn't "hiding" anything from anyone. Neither is DJI, they tell you up front what the delivery date is going to be. You can choose to buy or not buy.
I have 2 problems with this, every video I watch of the Neo the camera is not very smooth, and dji are notorious for having problems with Android, as they favour IOS 😢
Problem is, its not a $200 FPV drone. If you want to fly it like you did, you need the goggles and controller, which a beginner FPV pilot wouldn't already have.
Any beginner pilot would still need to buy goggles or RC so that wouldn’t compute. RC on average $110 Goggles average $400-599 Batteries $30 Charger another $100 So yeah this is fine for beginners yall have no cost clue
I bought HoverAir Promax, first day of the release for pre-order an I'm glad I did, features and quality on ProMax will swallow and an spit this little neo like tornado came through.. this is just a strip down 4K drone That's why is cheap not much features, with what we getting on the Promax if was on this neo would be over a thousand dollars easy, to what we getting with ProMax is a bargain🌟✨💪👍
Fantastic flying, love the slow smooth style, cant watch the flippy fast videos people do. Its a great little drone for a variety of things. I have 2 now!
A pretty versatile little drone at a great price point. Looking forward to getting my hands on it. Thanks Ken.

you're pumping out these NEO vids, can't wait to get mine

A beginner that already has the Goggles 3 and the DJI FPV controller 3. Great video Ken, thanks for sharing.
Dude I just ordered mine this morning! I'm so excited! Thanks for sharing your experience with it!
Great flying Ken! It’s definitely more versatile than I originally thought!
Pretty interesting... When I pick up the Air 3s, maybe I'll get this since I'll have a controller that'll work with it.
I think I will give this as a Christmas present to a young beginner! Thanks for the video!
Great video Ken, would you mind sharing the rates you liked better?
Thanks Ken, that was great!
Your video makes me want to try FPV for the first time!
Thanks for another informative video. You always give straight up reviews, and I appreciate that.
Ken - loved it ! Are you sharing those rates ? Thanks
Solid flight , as a beginner learning fpv i definitely need to tune the rates down to practice, what did you tune yours to ?
Or recommendations?
TIA!
Do you mind sharing your rates with us?
again a nice video. which rates do you use with NEO in manual ?
Great video 😎 does the Neo have turtle mode or did you land lucky on your first crash?
It does , it’s not super strong but it does
@@OriginaldoBo cheers fella. Love my Neo 👌

The controller that you are using, is it the one that comes in the combo kit?
Its controller 3 with the avata 2
@@floridadrones Do you know if it can be controlled with the one that comes in the combo kit while using the goggles?
Great video as usual!
Thank for the video 🎉❤
What is your PID tuning pls
I suspect the camera is setup that way, giving is the only camera to take footage and track as well.
Nice flying 👌
Great video Ken
What is the purpose of removing the prop guards? Does it fly better without them?
Even the official specs say up to 17 mins with guards, up to 18 mins without them.
Slightly better without especially for fpv
0:37 just say "gaps" and I'm listening. Lol 👍
Can you please let us know how far you go on fpv mode like range while using fpv goggles

DJI Mini 4k or DJI Neo? I wanted to get my brother one, but for $100 difference from the DJI Mini 4k, not sure what would be better.
They are different drones for different purposes. Neo is more versatile. Mini 4K is better at the limited set of things it's capable of.
I would pick mini 4, even though it is not fpv the battery lasts longer and the camera quality aswell and range bigger aswell
I have 3 mini and I am happy and I wouldn't change for Neo but in the end of the day is up to you
Tasty rev. Cheers Orig
Hi,
how you are in manual mode?
can you take off in manual mode?
Yes you can take off in manual mode
How big does the screen look when wearing those goggles?

Could I fly this with my quest 3?
Sadly no
10:06 Without saying! Cool Cool...Shot
Thank ken makes m e want but wright now got to put money into my house
Newbs like me still crashing in a sim lol 😆
Video quality being what it is… how soon before you make another “bad idea” mount to put a GoPro?!? Hahaa do you think that Neo can support one?
It’s definitely not gonna be able to lift the GoPro. I’m currently working on a solution for the camera.

Be nice if they would had used the O3 camera system.
@@OriginaldoBo maybe an insta360 go on top will be ok

I bought mine on Amazon Canada, got it delivered next day.
Yea true, all of Europe has been getting instant deliveries.

so you paid 3 times the price for a selfie drone with a good camera...this video shows what the Neo was designed for...fpv...not a camera drone
You're comparing a drone that costs over twice the price so it should be better than the neo.
Nah, the Hover X1 Pro Max is on sale sa GoFundMe kinda deal for almost $600! Retail is $755.
I think DJI is missing big with this drone, if they just put a better camera, it would be wayyy better. Big miss
Not really. Tons will buy it. They’ll come out with a pro with a better camera
$200... name me the drone for $200 with a better camera and these capabilities?

Thanks. I don't even like or want this stupid toy but let's be real here.
