Hi guys....I'm a gunsmith with 30 years experience. I recently picked up a pmr30 from a guy who was so disgusted with it he sold it to me like new for $100- his idea. I figured I'd fix whatever was wrong with it.
After playing with it for a week, I had identified so many issues that I had decided to throw it in my forge. Literally. I just hadn't had a reason to light it yet.
Then I saw the Mcarbo bundle. I've been very impressed with other Mcarbo kits- believe it or not I gave a hi point carbine the full mcarbo treatment, dropped it in an HTA PCC stock, and people cannot believe that's what it is after seeing and shooting it. It is a great little PCC!
I dropped the $250 or so on the PMR30 bundle, installed it in about 30 minutes with polishing, and so far I have put 350 rounds through the gun, all brands, without a single misfeed or issue. The record before the bundle was 4 (4) rounds without an issue.
Amazing job as always, guys...very well done!

My son took his apart to clean it and couldn't get it back together. He brought it to me completely disassembled in a box and said I can't get it back together. KIDS!!!!!! So I got it back together from watching this video got all the springs back in place. But for some reason the trigger is acting up. You have to pull the trigger a couple times to trip the hammer. Any suggestions on what it could be?

I got my PMR30 3 years ago, new in Phoenix. I had a couple of feed issues and then read the instructions. New guns have a break in period, and when you load the mags, you have to load them and smack them every 5 rounds to bump the shells back. I do this now, and I have had almost no issues. The gun works great. I love it.

Well, I was going to throw my pmr in the trash and call my gun store and tell them to stop selling them until I came across this video. Said why not, bought the kit, watched the video to install it, walked out on the back porch and smoothly ran a full mag…. I have to say, absolutely worth the money, absolutely an amazing video. Thank you guys what a game changer

First range time with my M*Carbo Equipped PMR 30.
    Incredible.
I never had problems before the install but the aluminum trigger with adjustments was my biggest surprise. It makes a huge difference.
The frame support insert really makes the gun feel solid.
120 rounds yesterday on M*Carbo PMR-30 and no hiccups at all.
It literally turns a 400 dollar gun inyo a 650 dollar gun.
Went with the red anodized trigger for bling.
    Very happy.

I purchased mine in 2019, and had jams with every mag I used. I purchased 2 extra mags, thinking it was going to be some fun time shooting. I saw a vid on applying a thin strip of glue on the mag to tighten it up, so I did that. It helped a little, but I still need to shoot only the recommended ammo.
Looks like I now need to get this bundle and do some real amour work, and since I'm semi-retired I'll have the time.
With all that said, I must emphasize the EXCELLENT videoing of the tear down and reassembly. This has got to be one of the most detailed videos I've seen on diy projects. I'm a car guy, so I watch a lot of vids on working on the car, but nothing compares to this. The explanation and video shots were very clear and easy to understand...Good Job!
Now get some Working Hands ointment for your hands and fingers...they're too dry. Working Hands will fix it up real good...Great Stuff!

Ordered a kit due to sootch mentioning you. Found this gem of a video. Got it installed tonight. The video was a resource that is so valuable! The quality of the parts and there performance are next level. The PMR looks less plastic. The manual of arms is easier to go through and operate. My mag button spring was swallowed by the black hole in my basement when it decided to nope out on being installed……hard sigh… I’ve got one in the mail.

I probably should've ran some rounds through it first but I didn't want to be disappointed with it.

First 4 mags ran flawlessly. Thank you for the quality product.

It's important to remember that if you install yourself, your lifetime warranty with keltec is over. I bought this product and had keltec install, yes they will install all mcarbo parts including this entire kit for 40.00 vs the 150.00 that mcarbo charges and will warranty your firearm as well. If you do install yourself and can't show documentation that either keltec or mcarbo did install no warranty.

Just finished recoil spring install. Was the easiest parts of whole upgrade. Saved for the last, cause I thought it would be a problem. Got a block of wood drilled a hole until I came up right diameter. The only hard part was which end which. Finally pushed on one of the retainers, and one moved. That was the toughest part. Slid spring on put on retainer, held down app. 1 inch. Got the new wire clip. There is a grove around recoil rod.put it on kept spinning it until it was in. Used needle nose until it looked like before. Simple ,easy. Felt pretty good. Kel-tec is making these things cheeeeep. You can do it!!!!!

I just installed this M*Carbo All in one Bundle on my PMR 30.
    Everything went great.
I did over tighten the hammer housing pin screws at first causing the gun not to reset.
The trigger bar was getting pinched.
I loosened it up and it works fine.
Then my pre-travel and over travel set screws were not quite where I wanted them. I found by turning the over travel screw inward with a pair of needle nose pliers; while the loctite is still wet, I could then access the pre-travel screw with allen wrench and the trigger depressed.
Then I backed the over-travel back out again with needle nose pliers.
You could also just cut the short leg of the allen key down to fit I guess.
But if the loctite is still fresh; it's easy to move them.

I have had my PMR30 for a couple of years now. I have probably put 500 rounds through it, which is not much I know. I had only one hang up, with multiple brands of ammunition, different weight bullets, some actually decades old. I never had rapid fired it, that might have made a difference, too. I was watching a guy on TH-cam doing a review on a PMR30, that is where I heard about Mcarbo upgrades. So l ordered the new feed ramp (and polishing kit), new extra power recoil spring, the frame reinforcement, the heavy buffer and heavy take down pin.
Probably should have gotten the whole bundle but I watched the video from Mcarbo, about 45 minutes and I had it all installed without any issues, except the little washer retainer for the recoil spring, I couldn't get it all installed without grinding a very small amount off of it, it wouldn't fit in the groove when I squeezed it down it over lapped about .030" all I had to do was just barely touch the grinder wheel. Anyway I would say it went great! I went out and shot rapid fire without any issues, the box of ammo was some old Winchester rounds, 45gr the price on the box was $6.50 that gives you an idea of the age, lol! The Mcarbo parts were amazing, thank you Mcarbo!!!

I have the all in one bundle for one pmr and the other pmr I have runs flawless stock .. both bought from same shop , both new , both new gens, sent the one to keltec 3 times now n that's why I ordered the all in one ... so hopefully it'll improve it even more than what keltec had it running after it's last return trip from the factory .

Stainless steel feed ramp SPRING install. This videos is a great help Seems redundant to say, watch it before, during, after to review ur part install. I took my time. Be in no hurry. Parts were great pmr 30. Only one thing to mention, the spring tool they send you. Most places the thickness of the tool isn't critical . But on whole upgrade,,,,, stainless steeleel ramp IT Is. Tried, and tried to install spring. Finally figured out it was the thickness of mcarbo tool was the problem . I have big hands, couldn't grip this tool sent well. I got a small flat screwdriver, took out dremel, attached diamond cutting disc. I had the spring installed just few minutes. Screwdriver was a small one that had a clip that could be carried in your shirt. But the thinnest blade would be best .or buy his .Took a 99¢ driver I had on hand and made it work. Mcarbo tool sent was also too wide. Couldn't see placement well. Total upgrade went great overall. Love red trigger. If it was black one, would've LOVED it. Great staff fast shipping. Overall 4.5 stars . Only reason not 5 outta 5 was the tool. Magazine spring was easy. I didn't have their bench tool. Also cut off trigger adjust hex head so I could adjust trigger with trigger installed. Cut it past curve to maybe 3/ 8 inch. Got trigger, SWEET. Thank carbo.

I’ve always been a fan & collector of antique firearms & ancient oddities, I only own a couple modern day boom sticks. Decided I want a PMR-30 last year & immediately identified several issues after 100 rounds! My 150+ year old cap’n ball revolvers were far more reliable haha! I had this weird fascination with that PMR nonetheless & finally stumbled across my lost brethren at MCARBO… Figured what the heck & went for the everything package a couple weeks back. Took me 1 1/12 hours to install, and mind you I rarely work on any modern day firearms! I did save that annoying spring with the silly “guitar string” retention piece on bolt for the next day, & that took 30 careful minutes alone due to factory design & personal struggles lmao! After the MCARBO kit & my F.J. Feddersen extended barrel, this thing shoots like a reliable laser gun & that’s exactly what it looks like!!! MCARBO, you guys are amazing! When can I get a couple metal mags, I’ll gladly take a prototype or two!? Keep up the amazing work 🫡🤠

Great video! I didn't do the "whole kit" due to my preferences - but the feed ramp, frame support and mag release are all in! Maybe some day after I use up the extra buffers I bought when it was new I'll replace that, but honestly, in over 500 rounds through, mine doesn't look as bad as the one in this video.
The only thing I noticed on mine when putting the new mag release in was that the mag release pin in the PMR was slightly rough or mushroomed? - so I had to finagle a bit more than what I've seen in this and the other videos to get it on. That said, after install it works AMAZINGLY well and now that I did the PMR, I think a feed ramp and mag release are next up on my CMR.

I've been wanting to purchase a PMR30, but for these exact! issues, I have not! Very nice setup to improve the stock PMR30, but my question is WHY hasn't KEL-TEC built the new models with these imporvements?! In mass production these minor improvements can't cost much to a new improved PMR30 X.

Amazing mines complete bone stock over a 1000 rounds through it, NOT ONE FAILURE!!! Yes you read that correctly not one failure to feed, not one failure to eject. I say that, but I also use 40 or 45 grain (mainly 40 gr) CCI. I have ran Armscore and one 50 round box of Winchester….not dyna point Winchester heard to absolutely stay away from those, again absolutely flawless. I know things will wear out so now I have options to keep this fun gun running.

This is why I went with a Smith & Wesson everybody tries to say this one's so much cheaper and works just fine and I didn't like it at all I tried a friend of mines before I was going to get one and let's just say he owed me some money and now he doesn't because he saved me a lot!! My Smith & Wesson 22 Magnum has not had any problems. I can push that thing out there as fast as I can pull the trigger. But it's about $250 more than the Kel-Tec too! Kel-Tech has never impressed me. The only one I've ever bought almost blew off my right hand and it was a factory defect and because they dicked me around for a year and a half they wouldn't replace it because it was discontinued so $400 as a paperweight. A gunsmith couldn't even fix it cuz the barrel was literally put into it at an angle. I'm lucky I still have a hand.

Got this all put in. I was having to pull the trigger twice to get the reset. Then I remembered what you said about over tightening. Backed them off and it worked perfectly. Watching that mag dump was like watching a millionaire throw money in a fireplace. I wish I had that much .22 Magnum. I bought this kit because my Pmr would only reliably cycle CCI. Hopefully I will be able to use the Winchester and Hornady I have. We will see. I spent alot of time getting the trigger just right, and I gotta say, it feels amazing.

Instructor was surprised to see PMR 30 fire without a hiccup
I replied always use 45 grain ammo
He did ask if I was going to use my PMR 30 as my EDC in which I replied due all the polymer, probably not, I'll use FNS 9c for EDC
