I think the main reason why the negativity toward droid returned for Din is because it's specifically battle droids. The same droids responsible for the initial trauma

I don’t think he ever stopped hating droids, but that he grew fond of IG-11. The reason he went after him is because he refused to trust another droid until he absolutely had too.

“Plazier” does not mean peaceful. It means, “Pleasure” in many Latinate-branch languages. It’s a literal Pleasure Dome, which refers to both Kublai Khan’s Pleasure Dome in Coleridge’s poem and then the 80’s hit album/song from FGTH. Van Halen also wrote a song called’ “Pleasure Dome.”

Blade Runner 2049 (lab scene 14:24 ) Hyperloop scene is almost shot for shot from the city panoramic scene in Logan's Run plus the crazy droid laser in the lab, also Logan's Run, Sounds from Minority Report, Hal obviously 2001, (BTW : kmandinav is russian for commander)

At the beginning of the season I'm pretty sure Din says something about how "it has to be" IG-11 cause that's the only droid he trusts (I'm paraphrasing) him forgiving other droids hasn't been fully established and being surrounded by battle droids I could see being upsetting. Even with the R5 unit he brought it along begrudgingly.

I always read Mando's character growth as learning to trust individual droids but still mostly distrusting them as a whole (though maybe also begrudgingly trusting droids trusted by people he trusts, like Peli Motto's droid crew). This is why he was intent on reviving IG-11 specifically and went to great lengths to attempt to accomplish it. Additionally, R5 literally just ratted out the covert's location to one of their old war buddies, so I'm sure that didn't help much with Mando's trust levels.

Din has grown to accept only the droids that he has physically seen in positive lights. He is a hunter, after all, and IB earning his respect after fighting alongside him is not an unorthodox idea. The Resistor scene was there to demonstrate that Din’s mentality toward droids has not necessarily changed to include an inherit trust of all droids, BUT only the ones he knows to be trustworthy.

The Mandalorian keeps getting better, every week!
The less; "Star Wars," they try making it, the further afield they go, into wilder and even wackier territory, the more it feels like Star Wars!
Even in the Clone Wars series, it was always the weird and wonderful, (a strange stop-over on Mortis, the Nightsisters on Dathomir, General Krell, in the Darkness on Umbara, and even Colonel Meebur Gascon and his; "D-Squad," etc.) that made for some of the best, most memorable arcs of storytelling in the entire saga.
Whether you're a fan of the current season of the Mandalorian or not, it's arguably impossible to deny they're still using the series to further expand the boundaries of what Star Wars can be!
And as for me? I am ALL IN for that!
Not every episode, (or even every season,) is going to be everyone's favorite, which is why it's awesome we're living through these times, when there's no end in sight for many more!
(Especially for someone who lived through the so-called; "dark times," following Return of the Jedi. When, for all we knew, any future prospects of getting any more stories told in that Galaxy would be limited to whatever fans could get Lucasfilm to approve of.
    (What became the; "expanded universe.")
    (Now; "Legends.")
So, it's difficult to not appreciate whatever we get, when we were for so long left to go without.
    _(I'm just sayin' ✌️)_

Eccentric ex-Imperial marries a princess and creates a utopia on a separatist world using repurposed surplus battledroids for civil service and labor tasks. Not every society needs to be a depressing underworld filled with crime and suffering. Not every planet needs to be a desert or lava hellscape.

I loved this episode, it moves the story forward, but it's also a small side quest episode that focuses on Word Building and Character Dynamics rather than the Main Story making this episode both refreshing and interesting to watch. Also I loved the cameos in this episode as well.

I think this episode teaches Din that drid aren't inherently bad, because it takes a living being to program the droids.

I think people are making a lot of how Din can communicate with the Ugnots but remember Din can also communicate with Tuskens he is much more worldly/galaxyly than a lot of other characters.

Din's beef is with Battle Droids, and extended to all Droids. He's lightened up on other droids, but Battle Droids killed his family. It's forever and always f*@k those guys!

I bet Mando said “Booooom looking for this?!”, when he discovered the rogue droid 😂. At least to himself he did.
I definitely did, when I found out that was Tom Hollands brother 😂
