      @CaptainPikeachu ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Redemption implies he’s done something wrong that he has to be redeemed from. This isn’t really a redemption, this is more of a vindication and triumph after years of unfair abuse from certain sections of fandom and media. If anything, it’s more some fans who need to find redemption for their behavior.

    • @miltonkiller707
      @miltonkiller707 ปีที่แล้ว

      What redemption? He got paid to make a fool of himself and then received the backlash of those who would mock him in real-life. If he was a little bit wiser he'd have distanced himself from all of this, having learned a lesson, but he's right back in the middle of it again. I guarantee you that given time, they'll make a mockery of this scene too.

      I think many Star Wars fans probably realized they went overboard / were out of line in projecting their dislike on the actor who basically had nothing to do with how lame Jar Jar was and I think the franchise is atoning for putting him in that position. IMO, he’s not particularly good in the role, but then again even really good actors usually seem cheesy in the role.

    The thing about their jetpacks fuel is it actually makes sense, it's crazy advanced but it lasts way longer than what we saw. We saw it last for about 10 minutes maybe but only like 2 minutes or less on screen time. When you think about it though those jetpacks lasted a whole lot longer than that, they chased that thing all day until the sun was setting when their jetpacks lost fuel. So that's probably about 4 hours worth of fuel they had in there at least. In Clone Wars and Rebels we've seen jetpack sequences where they are in the air for very long amounts of time which make sense.

    @andrewshandle ปีที่แล้ว +69

    It's a bit of a reach to say that Grogu specifically was known to Beq or that there was a specific plan just for him. It's _way_ more likely that the Jedi had an evacuation plan to get as many Youngliings as possible out, probably based off a generic evacuation plan that they had for the temple in case of emergency. Much like a fire drill (or, unfortunately here in the US, an active shooter drill) at a public school, they had plans to get the kids to an outside location for exfil...the difference here is Beq had to audible to get to a ship offsite because it was the military that was attacking so any planned evacuation wasn't going to come. That also explains why the Clone Troopers knew where to go to intercept Beq and Grogu. We even hear the senate troopers asking where everyone else is.

    • @MDCxThePG
      @MDCxThePG ปีที่แล้ว +5

      While I can't speak to Kelleran knowing Grogu before this, the plan did seem specifically for him. I don't think they'd dedicate that many Jedi to protect one youngling and then have Kelleran specifically meet up with senate protection troops if it wasn't just for Grogu. The timing was too perfect.

    • @thetk518
      @thetk518 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      This. Yes. Thank you. It was not a save grogu mission, it was a save next generation plan

    • @andrewshandle
      @andrewshandle ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@MDCxThePG in Obiwan we saw that there were lots of Jedi in the temple, as would be expected. Clearly the Jedi also had a plan to evacuate the Younglings, just like a school has a plan for Fire Drills, so Jed's defending the hallway with the elevators to the exfil location is hardly surprising. The idea that they had a special plan for one kid and left the other hundreds to fight for themselves is also unrealistic.
      Clearly they reached out to someone and got outside help to evacuate once they realized it was clone troopers attacking, but we saw that the Senate Guard was expecting way more Younglings.

    • @julieporter7805
      @julieporter7805 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's proven when the pilot asks "Where are the others?"

    • @bbsy1
      @bbsy1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yoda, Yaddle, and Grogu all doing flips is because their small stature makes them perfect for Ataru/Form IV, the most acrobatic, aggressive, and melee intense of the 7 lightsaber forms. Being maybe 3ft tall and weighing next to nothing makes them insanely hard to hit in a fight when they're just cartwheeling all over the place. Anakin used this form as well and might've had a better go against Obi-Wan if he was like a foot shorter.

    i think that its really interesting that all 4 episodes so far ended with Bo-Katan in the scene... idk what this means but it's really interesting

    I mean I think a padawan and apprentice are the same thing, and sentinel, guardian, and consular are just types of jedi from the old republic video games
    I think the jedi order only has the rankings of youngling, padawan, knight, Master

    • @joshscholman
      @joshscholman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is correct. In Legends, Guardian, Sentinal, or Consular is the path a Jedi Knight or Master chooses, and typically is indicated by the lightsaber color. Guardians (blue) focus on their skills with a lightsaber. Consulars (green) focus on their mastery of the Force, and Sentinals (yellow) balance the two perfectly (yellow=green+blue).

    I totally missed that Armorer peering over at the end. That's why I watch your channel Erik. You are so insightful.

  • @orien2v2
    @orien2v2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    It's subtle but it's ironic that the Armorer sounded the most skeptical being the head of the clan.
    Din: This is the way.
    Paz: This is the way!
    Armorer: This is the way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    I really felt like the armorer was almost gaslighting Bo katan at the end about the mythosaur, why else would the armorer send din to the living waters?

    • @myoldhandlewasmadewheniwas9
      @myoldhandlewasmadewheniwas9 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Din went because that's the ritual their sect believes in. Bo had 0 influence on that decision and really only lucked into joining because Din needed saved. I doubt that was some scheme the Armorer crafted, it's too reliant on luck and happenstance

    This episode was phenomenal! I love the return of Ahmed Best, the creatures were great, action was gripping, many of the shots were interesting, meaningful and dynamic, the Mythosaur exchange between Bo and the Armorer. And Grogu is so adorable! I just can't with this much Grogu!

    I hope Bo finds a way to unite the mando clan, not end up fighting anyone from it. For me, would be a much more satisfying arc versus the armorer being a surprise villain and just having a classic battle between them with Din as well.
