@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS Lol yes. Great video as I just got a S&B intake and BORLA exhaust for my 2018 F150 and this video helped alot. oh by the way, I am also in the Steel city :)

That K & N filter let's in the fine dust that'll shorten the life of your motor. If you can see thru it, the fine dirt will get in. Amsoil makes a dry filter that will fit
Just installed the atak on my 2015 f150 5.0 and i am definitely not disappointed. It sounds so damn good. The only thing i noticed while installing is that i could not get the tips to line up perfectly no matter what i tried. The drivers side tip is out roughly a 1/2 inch or so farther than the passenger side. The passenger side is just about lined up with the bumper and the drivers side tip is just beyond it. I was doing this in my driveway(had the truck on ramps front and rear) and i followed the directions that borla gives you even down to the torque spec for the clamps. Just couldnt get the tips the line up perfectly with each other no matter what i tried. Any ideas on that one? I mean it sounds badass so its not a deal breaker, not even remotely lol.
That happened to me on the first one I did, it took me 20 minutes to get them even. The last 3 seemed to line up perfect first try. Did you try to swing the exhaust bracket forward on the leaf spring bolt?
@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS you know what no i didnt lol, i left them straight up and down trying to leave enough of a gap between the tip and the bumper. Ill have to give that a try and see what happens once the weather lets me(spring time in Maine, the weather is all over the place)
Thanks! To be honest, I like the AFE the best. I have a video of that install as well. Plus, they are having a big sale on there website right now. Thanks for watching!
PIPSBURGH VIEWS Probably the best review video about the process of installing a Borla exhaust system. Looking into purchasing a Borla exhaust but torn between the S-type and Atak. Is the Atak too loud in the cab?
Was it really worth it before and after? Is the HP an torque increase actually noticeable or what? Kind of having mixed feelings on doing it too my 2018 5.0
K and N says 12.74 HP from the intake and I would guess about the same for the exhaust. The sound from the ATAK alone is worth the money. You would see a slight increase fuel economy as well, if you can keep your foot out of it but that's no fun.
Congratulations, you just effectively cut your engine life in 1/2.. If you can see daylight thru that filter, fine dust will get thru. Racers use em., but they rebuild those motors after every race. Even a lot of race cars put a fine "sock filter over that crap K/N filter.

Hey buddy great video, I have a questiin for you. Im deciding if I should put a cold air intake in my 2016 f150 but Im getting mixed reviews and opinion does that really make a diffrence or should I just do my exhaust? Cause honestly those intake system us not cheap and Im running on a budget. Being an expert w ford trucks whats your honest opinion ??.
I depends on what your goals are. The intake works best with the turbo engines and the exhaust makes more sense with the v-8 but you will see an improvement in power and fuel economy by adding both. If you are just looking for sound, the exhaust is the way to go. Hope this helps, let me know if you have anymore questions.

Atak

That is correct. It’s easier if you remove the spare but you don’t have to.

So how exactly this a "cold air" intake? It looks like its pulling in hot air from the engine bay. Is the front snorkel still attached to the air box?
Yes, the factory snorkel is still in use.
the weather seal seals against the hood
@@V843v3r if it just seals against the hood I wonder why they just don't have a cover on it , or are they made for a aftermarket ram air hood ?

It is slightly noticeable but the sound is worth it!
Oh man does that sound good...
What about warranty??
Should not effect it unless the aftermarket part fails and causes something else to fail.
So how much hp do you figure you gained after your time & $$ . ?
K and N says 12.74 HP from the intake and I would guess about the same for the exhaust. The sound from the ATAK alone is worth the money. You would see a slight increase fuel economy as well, if you can keep your foot out of it but that's no fun.
