Running Atak’s on my 2v GT, 270 Comp cams, ported/polished heads, and sounds amazing, every single day I get people smiling, staring, and always wanting to talk about it
So call me shallow...but, after having had a 5.0 with the ATAK...then selling it and buying a Toyota Tacoma (I know, I know...), and now considering going back to the F-150...there is nothing that compares to the 5.0 Coyote. The salesman is trying to get me to go with the 3.5 EcoBoost. Which I have a lot of respect for, however, after listening to the Borla 3.5 EcoBoost videos...no thank you Sir. It just doesn't sound right. The V8 just sounds like 'Merica. Like a P-51 Mustang performing a strafing run (yes, I know they had British Merlin V12s but just roll with me here okay?).
As someone with a 3.5 raptor having had the ATAK and the S-Type (current) on the truck I totally understand what you're talking about. I will say the S-Type has been FAR more managable. I had an ATAK on my Jeep SRT and it was amazing. Borla exhausts are legit my one true love when it comes to V8 exhaust systems lol. One going on my G8 GT real soon. #v8forlife

I'm so glad I got the 5.0 I was an ass hairs width away from getting the EcoBoost instead but i wanted to go all out. I didn't know you could go EVEN MORE all out 😂😂😂
I recently purchased a 2020 F150 5.0. I got the super crew, 5 foot bed, which will work well with the Borla exhaust fitment. I'm pretty much set on the S type. Not that the ATAK sounds bad, but it's just a bit more than I want as far as tone. I think the S type is the perfect compromise between getting that V8 growl, and not pissing off the neighbors at 5 in the morning. LoL. Still a little undecided, but I think I'm gonna go with the passenger side outlet with chrome tips. Borla has a reputation as far as quality, and I'm certainly not hanging cheap junk on my new truck. Definitely looking forward to the installation.
As I watch this video in the place I've moved to long ago, it's nice to see that familiar old power plant on the beach in Oxnard where I grew up. Also, great comparison video I went with you guys after seeing this vs watching some competitors videos!
Can you tell me if you have any drone @ 80mph. I would like to put a attack on my 2018 f-150 Supercharged but I am concern about drone on interstate speeds. I now have a MBPR with 2 mufflers and a resonator to keep out the drone. I think I am compromising my power with this combo. I know I am splitting hairs. I like the popping sound but don't want to hear it in the cab. I know I am crazy. :)

How exactly does one go about creating the classic v8 howl sound like in this video? I've heard plenty of exhaust systems with this same engine and they all sound super cool. Is there a special secret in terms of Headers/Pipe Shape/etc. that I'm missing? Thanks
I have a 2017 5.0 with the S-Type and I am going to say this if you are on the fence between the S-Type and the ATAK - buy the ATAK. I live in a gated community and thought what would my neighbors etc think, just buy the one you want, don't worry about other people, my S-Type has turned heads and sounds very good, but the ATAK is at a different level. Hope that helps. Wish someone would have told me that before I bought my exhaust.

Anyone know what Borla or anyother manufacturer reccommmends on a 2018 5.0 on the left side around the spare tire to go out the back. There are bunch of lines at that spot right in the way. I've looked under a Raptor and those lines are not there.
I purchased the Borla Touring, dual rear exit for my 2016 F-150 5.0. If I wanted to move up the sound level to the S-Type, can just the muffler section be purchased, or are the two systems physically different in size?
I have an S-Type and as nice as it sounds could be a little louder, would deleting the muffler be making it into an Atak or are there differences in the piping for the unique sounds. From the pictures, the only difference of the 2 looks like the muffler on the S-Type
I have a 2011 F150 4WD 5.0L. I really want the S-Type in the layout of the Touring system (Dual exit out same side). That seems to be available for the newer F150s & Raptors why not mine? I'd even settle for dual exit out one on each side but I do not want dual rear exit. Are those options available or do you have any suggestions? Can I just get the touring kit but with the S-Type Muffler? Can I get the Touring kit and delete the resonator without it getting as loud as the attack. The only sound I'm trying to achieve is somewhere between louder than the Touring but not as loud as the ATAK. Thanks!

Hello! Our Cat-Backs will not drone at steady cruising speeds such as driving on a highway. The systems are designed to tune out drone and a resonator is not always necessary.
I'm looking at the borla atak but after hearing alot of my neighbors with new mustang's, I want that same deep throaty sound like theres. Is that sound possible on the new f150 coyote engine with the atak or is there another exhaust that would be better for that sound?

What muffler or part number is used for the touring set up? I'm wanting to add that muffler but can't figured by the web site which muffler is used for that set up.
Unfortunately, we don't sell the muffler from our Cat-Back systems separately. We do offer universal mufflers with our ProXS and XR-1 product lines, however, they are different from what's on our systems.
Does the S-type come with resonator? I've seen comments that it previously did not include it but now I'm seeing comments saying that it does have resonator?
How will this effect my fuel economy or mpg? What type of air intakes do y’all recommend to go with the atak? I have a 2018 F150 and can’t wait to start putting on some mods!
Hi. Installing our Cat-Back system will not have a noticeable effect on fuel economy. It will not decrease or increase your miles per gallon. Unfortunately, there aren't any intakes in particular that we would be able to recommend.
It's important to really think about your trucks sound profile against how it looks and what it can actually accomplish on the road. Buying an overly aggressive catback for a stock f150 is going to get you laughs unless you're a sleeper. Consider the profile of your truck and what it can do against the sound to consider the entire package rolling down the street. Don't just set out to be a dick.

Borla, I have a 2018 f150 and when I go to the atak section, it only gives me options for 15-16 ecoboost or 11-14 I assume v8 which I have. I'd love to order the atak for my new truck!
Does the Borla exhaust on the 15-17 F150 fit the 2018 F150? Or does the 18 F150 need a new designed exhaust. With the 10 speed transmissions I wonder if a new designed exhaust us required.

I’m getting the super cab with the 6’6 box. Long cab/short box looks like a guy with long body and short legs to me.

Does adding an atak exhaust improve the horse power at all? After all the engine is breathing better.
