I've got an 18 F-150 STX 4X4 crew 5.0 3.73. Runs good, has a whistle sound just above idle during slow revs on up and down. 2 of the doors move while driving as you can hear the seal squeaking over the smallest bumps or RR tracks. Can't believe how small the door hinges on this truck are. Smaller than the ones on my old 92 Honda Civic VX. I'm going to 5 Star tune it and put a 40 series Flowmaster on it with a Flowmaster intake and drive the shit out of it. It has 2900 miles on it. Changing oil next week to Mobil 1 full syn. I do recomend Katzkin leather seats. I have all black and they are just like a Lariat. Also put in the Lariat leather steering wheel the other day. And the factory speakers suck so they will be in the trash by June.
I love the truck content! You should video some gaps given out by the truck. I have the same truck just oxford white.
You need to do the raptor steering wheel swap, it gives you the paddle shifters and feels much better. The hellwig rear sway bar will make it tighter in the corners as well. I personally installed the S&B intake and love it with the 5 star tune. Makes for a quick 2wd rcsb.

JLT makes some great products for the Mustang. Their design is simple and works well. It uses the factory box and ram air.
Hey when u changed out the jlt cold air intake, on the truck the engine light didnt come on.
I did a 10k cold air with a supercharger to my 2018 f150, 510hp to the wheels
I dont think the stock intake box is restrictive at all. Maybe the paper filter but it does clean the air. Those aftermarket free flow filters let some dirt through.
Wouldn't the more restrictive area be the snorkel coming up to the grille? It's got a wide mouth but tapers down to a much smaller opening at the bottom of the air box
If you hate the auto stop why is it still active after the tune? Even the most basic canned tunes offer the auto stop disable feature! Or if you were running in sport mode it would have also been off.

If you want it to down shift to 1st try putting it in tow haul and it should down shift

If you gonna take you to the drag Strip then for point of reference a truck just like yours did a 12.67 tune only on 93
Your tuner should allow a permanent auto stop/start disable. My sct bdx did. Part of my reason for even tuning initially. But then after just a roush cold air, flow master force 2 exhaust and a 5 star custom 91 performance tune I was hooked. The truck is a true sleeper and when you go 4x4 from a stop you can hustle people with cars that should be faster in theory. I like smoking idiots with V6’s that have performance exhausts on them.

Get UPR catch can, clean side separator, and crankcase breather. I get a cup of oil every 5k miles. Also, S&B air intake is far better.

So with the E 85 tune you didn't change any Fuel system components? What was the name of your exhaust shop that did the work?
Yes the truck is flex fuel compatible from factory. The shop name is ice cold air and muffler

It does lol. I have to remember to tell Rob at PBD to turn it off

You mention “feel 10-15 at the wheels”. Is that a guess? That’s a lot of gain from a CAI.
You have the tick yet? Mine does. Had it since 4k mikes. Has 13k now and tick has almost gone away. Gonna ride it out till close to warranty time and see how she goes.
Mines bad. 9k miles and its been in the shop for 3 weeks now. Probably gonna lemon it. Mine knocks so loud you can hear it in the cab and the dealer can't figure it out. Good luck.
Mines great. Sent a oil sample in to Blackstone. Everything came back better than average. Has almost 19k now. Sorry about yours. You should get a oil analysis done.
Delmario have you drove it easy or hard? Just curios because I heard it’s better to drive these a little more aggressive to help seat the piston rings.
My 2018 f150 5.0 has 28k and has what sounds like timing chain rattle on decel and has used 2 qt oil in 3500 miles. Going through the test right now at the dealer. Any update on yours ?

Do you have problems with your VCT solenoid? I just had mine replaced. It makes a small rattling noise when let off the gas during slight acceleration.

Should have bought a draggy. Then do a before-and-after test after you put the cold air intake on and then you would have seen or on online app on your phone

The Spectre Brand is the best deal out there.
Put the truck into sport mode and it will down shift to 1st gear like you want it to.
Is the 18 5.0 a good reliable truck
I just bought one in July with 23k miles and now I'm hearing timing chain rattle on decel and have serious oil consumption , 2 qt in 3500 miles. It's at the dealer now getting checked out. I love the truck other then the engine issues. Might get a new motor or a buyback.
The JLT uses the stock snorkel with two 90 degree bends, and the stock lower air box. It also uses an S&B filter. Why not get the S&B intake system? It has a re-designed sealed filter box and a straight snorkel with a larger opening and it's a lot cheaper than the JLT. 🤷🏻♂️ Makes absolutely zero sense to pay more, for less.
Because if he went with the S&B system he couldn't plug his JLT coupon code.
I don't make any money if you use the JLT coupon. Its just a discount for viewers. JLT has great quality products. I like the intake system because it is super easy to install, helps keep heat out of the filter, and uses the factory ram air. JLT is also a great company to collaborate with.

The S&B is a better, cheaper, more complete intake. It's cheaper than the JLT with the coupon code. If you cared about your subscribers, meaning, you wanted them to have the best product, and tell best deal, you should look at the S&B.

I’m doing the ngauge palm beach e85 tune, solo performance Mach 40xv stainless dual side catback exhaust and the S&b intake this weekend. Now how do I make this thing roast the tires when I mash it from a stop? It’s a little upsetting

Turn advance trac off (while holding the brake hold traction control until it says advance trac off) mine roasts tire through 4th gear

Doesn't cai void warranty?
Warranty isn't as simple as black and white. A warranty claim cannot be denied by a simple modification. It must be proven to have caused the issue. For example: if I removed the intake all together because I thought it increased flow to run open throttle body and the engine inhaled a nice rock. After tear down the dealer could conclude the failure was caused by removed intake system which inhaled debris.
So doing a tune void your warranty ?

800 miles and you are open throttling it?????? Even the manual tells you to keep it low for the first 1,000 miles. I guess I like it when my engines outlast the body.

@@nissanfrontier5162 we dont have the truck anymore because of a wreck but we never had any problems at all no fitment issues or long term and that was my dads work truck he drove the hell outta that truck he would do about 120mph daily and on the dyno he made 370whp and 375tq and thats with a 4 door on 24s his 1/4 was 12.83 at 101
