@@the_arcanum Indeed, the X2 really looks like a step backwards. Why did Anycubic go back to 4K? I have the "Mono X 6K" (which has huuuuge problems with antialiasing) and was expecting an "Mono X 8K"

That Mono X2 is a Great deal, Its 1 less inch that the Saturn 8k but the price is Right for the Upgrading when you don't really need the upgrade but really want the machine.

I'm not specifically into 40k or miniature tabletop gaming, but have been playing RPG's for 30 years and painting some figures. Remembre the days they were all still nice clean metal casts instead of oversized overpriced plastic. Warhammer fantasy roleplay, Shadowrun, D&D. Always been building models in other genres, now i'm focused on 1/6 scale resin anime & movie figures, the so called "garage kits". Still have a stack i need to assemble and build, but once i get through it i will be getting a resin printer to.
Been dabbling in DAZ3d and Blender a bit and the way you can set up 3d scenes in those programs is awesome. They both support exporting to 3d print files, cant wait to print my own unique figures in whatever poses accompenied by the right vehicles.
The future of modelbuilding is looking very bright, never tied to whatever a company comes up with and asking ridiculous prices while the quality does not seem to get any better. A few more years and GW wont be making overpriced models anymore, just bringing out rule and lorebooks and other media.

Quick tip: use a heat gun (/ hot water bath) to soften the resin supports, makes them come off much cleaner
I have wanted a Thunderhawk forever. I remember when GW had their own forums and a user created one out of cardboard and cardstock, giving the dimensions for everything needed.
What a ride, it's funny how a 3d printer can pay for itself with 1 Thunderhawk. This was awesome to watch and makes me wonder about the Manta. Purely for the sake of the law of escalation.

Model building 101, from way back in my youth, always dry fit and make sure its right, before, you use glue, tape will hold things together if you need, and is removeable if you screw up. And if you have iffy instructions, you absolutely must dry fit it all before you glue it, saves you in the long run for just a tiny bit more time and some tape.
Hey where do I find these STLs you are using? I have been searching for a Mars Reaver Titan for ages.
You should totally do some horus heresy prints, I have found some stl's for some sculpts for it, and I would love to know the legion you would do first.

Fair enough, I have seen some deathshroud termis stl's and a mortarion stl, but I don't know if morty survived the ban wave, I would hope so. Haven't seen any grave wardens though, but I'd imagine they'd be easy to do some kind of digital kitbash
I enjoyed anycubic standard upgraded resin but made the jump to SunLu ABS like and couldnt be happier

I took a chance on the Sunlu ABS like grey, and I'm getting superb results. It's cheaper than most too so I'd definitely recommend it also.
Your t-hawk looks a lot better than mine. Btw... i also 3d printed a votann army, but i did mine with the old squat sculpts. I did cheat a little on my einhyr champion tho, i used a 3d printed torso, but the rest of the model is kitbashed from the bits box. (His arms are from a grey knight and head is from a space wolf)

Where do you get all these crazy 3d models Ive been wanting a warhound titan I've wanted since I was a kid I cannot find any stl files.
I have the newer Forge World version, it is a beautiful model but offers no way to secure the wings to the fuselage (this has stalled the project) and I have idea how I would paint it for my Raven Guard with any kind of interest.
I'd love to see you print a Tau'nar Supremacy suit. Want to see that so bad.

omg omg this is amazing!! I too have wanted this model since a child!!! I need a 3d printer asap omfg omfg lolololol anyone remember the mini MINI mini's? They were like micro warhammer and 40 figurines, usually pewter for the larger(still tiny like 1/10th or so scale?) and like lolol I was in love with the tiny little metal Ship lol.
This is exactly the Video that makes me want to get into 3d printing. There are some models that ill never own from GW because I'm just not willing to pay an arm and a leg. When you find out that it cost around $45 in materials and GW charges over $800. That's just wack.

If you can find them there are some great files for the Contemptor Achilles and Telemon dreadnoughts.

after i searched for 3d printing the other day, i came up to your channel. asap bought the linked elegoo printer with a wash & cure.
now 4 days in and im already out of resin, ordered 2 more bottles and another printer to speed things up.
but with the few models i managed to print, im already over the worth of my printers if you calculate in gw models.
thank you for giving me the self convinience to do this step to finally get rid of those fucking expensive models.
even tho i have to tell, that some of the models you can find are just straight ass. they dont print properly or take to much work for supporting by your own, or are just way to far off. the biggest issue with printing i had, has been with my deathguard marines cause i just cant seem to get them to a decent scale. also their details sometimes look very clumsy

hey there, i now got my printer and actually already succsessfully printed some stuff. now i have another issue. chitubox tells me a print takes 1 hour and my printer then tells me it will be 2 hours. it seems like the chitubox input is completley off. is this normal or do i have wrong settings ?
i already changed my profile to my printer in the settings. would be cool if someone here is able to help me out a lil

Where are the files from
Hey, what do you recommend for me to remove supports easily without pitting the model, I put mine in really hot water and pull the supports off, but it still leaves pitting
You might need to look at lighter supports in higher density at that point if your finding hot water isint doing the trick
@Battle Brother Sam I tend to over support with medium in lychee so probably should lay back.
Another question if you don't mind me asking, I'm really in the need for wash station, I've been putting my minis in a Mason jar and shaking them to death to clean mine. Would it be a good idea to get something like the mercury 2.0 from elegoo?

I paint Seraphon but didnt wanna spend 90 bucks on a troglodon. Found my school had a very high end PLA printer and printed one for 3 bucks. Its not perfect but from 3 feet, its pretty sweet. Solidifies that I wanna get a resin printer once i graduate

Sam I’m not complaining so don’t take it the wrong way but I wish there was a way that people could get the files they want without have to have a freaking subscription to 8 million different creatures. Just saying like I almost spend just as much on one gw model as I do on subscribing to creators to try and find a model I want.
I dream of a day where creators have combat patrol style esque boxsets and even combine together to make it easier

To get all of the excess resin off

That's a lot of streaking grime needed my guy. Instead just do an oil paint wash. Slightly under dilute it and you can than return with thinner to get literally the same effect but cheaper!

funny how the cheap 3d printed models look better than the official ones in many cases - this tech has become so cheap too. I got a starter printer for a great price and it took me about 1 day to figure it all out and get good prints. It literally takes longer for a GW order to ship and then get assembled...

I wouldnt call it the most comlicated warhammer model. The forgworld model is 80% 6 big pieces and then just small easy to apply small pieces on the outside. I think of the Forgeworld lords of war i could actually be the easyist to build. Awesome video tho :D
I think not having instructions made it the most complicated for me because I have alot of pieces left over
