Chaos Reaver Titan Unboxing! Child of Chaos Tycho embarks on a new adventure

Child of Chaos, Tycho, tells the story of how this came to be and what is in store for finally getting a Chaos Titan on the channel. During a Marathon Live Stream we promised we would get Tycho a Titan if we hit a stretch goal and because of our amazing fans we did!

This is so genuine - I'm getting my first Titan this weekend - a Chaos Warhound. To coincide with this, I'm going to start learning a little wood turning with my old man & work on the base turned of wood! Age of Chaos is here Tycho!

Tycho should call up Table Top Time and get some pointers on how to build and paint the Titan. Table top time built four or five of those beasties. Also love Tycho's and Tak's reaction to buying the titan, priceless.

Honestly, in my opinion Chaos titans are the coolest models out of the entire game. I wish they made them more corrupt looking just like world eaters or death guard, just imagine fighting a nurgle titan.

I don't normally watch unboxing videos - but this was pretty awesome :) I knew Tycho would be super pumped.
The first 30 seconds are fantastic.

If you really want to represent all of chaos you might try dedicating each limb or body part to a different chaos god? don't know how feasible it would be, and it might end up looking a bit goofy, but it's a fun idea. i can imagine the power claw going to Khorne, the head or Gatling cannon going to tzeentch, the legs to nurgle, and the body to slaanesh. just a thought. im really excited to see how it comes out regardless

This is absolutely the sort of thing that we need Epic 40K to come back for! I want to run these things at something like 6 or 8mm scale alongside throngs of soldiers, dozens of tanks, flyers, and other titans! With GW's class-leading plastic injection tech they could make actually amazingly high quality Epic scale models these days!

It would be nice for slanesh inspired theme. Like a deep purple with discolored to grey from heavy battle scaring with almost a glowing teal color twords end if extremities .
Also barbed wire weaved around its upper arms

As cool of models as titans are, I'm always shocked at the mediocre parts quality with a price of over $1000
That's Forgeworld for you. On the flipside, their customer service is supposed to be very good, so if parts are really bad they will replace them. Now should there be better quality control? Yes, you are paying a small fortune for some resin bits.
It's a bit of a double edged sword. FW should have better QC, but their customer service is very good
One of the reasons I will never buy finecast again 😬 I appreciate their customer support but the QC, general appearance of a lot of their sculpts, particularly the ones in desperate need of an update, and the price has turned me off of FW. You can get the same or better quality with a 3D printer for a fraction of the price and time.
@@alfadasfire It's kinda sad that we all go to that as the defense of FW. It's not really good customer service, it's just giving you what you paid for, that's it. Other companies out there send out good products the first time, but we don't hear about their customer service as its not needed. FW should be the same

The real shame of these models is not just the price, is that the pieces of the model aren’t even that high quality. Tons of either missing or bent pieces
Never had anything missing, and a little hot water and some love and the parts go together pretty well. Large resin casted minis are a bit of a handful the first few times but the details can be worth it. That said Forgeworld could upgrade their quality control for sure!

Tycho, I've been curious for a while now. How tall are you? And I am excited to see this get built. The last time I bought something from forgeworld was 20 odd years ago, and it wasn't this big. I still have those Imperial Guard tanks on the table to this day, though.
