    Great review! I have a similar, crap-tastic Dometic awning on my popup. Same poles, same crap zipper, and a storage bag that crumbles in the sun, even though it spends more of its life in my shed in the off-season. Have fun out there!

    This is actually the Pro LIte Suite - Deluxe model, which weighs 725 lbs. The Pro Lite Suite does not have a sink and counter and weighs 590 lbs. Thank you for your review, very informative.

  • @fjolliff6308

    A screen sink basket can be attached to the sink drainage pipe. I'd still use the sink plug, but the strainer will keep wasps and other critters from blocking the pipe or damaging it from the inside.

      Or install a P trap that you make sure water is kept in to keep insects from crawling or flying though. Snakes though don't mind a little water.

    Such a comprehensive review. I really might not have realized some of the issues, especially the 19” hitch height and the awning that takes two people. I couldn’t do it by myself and my husband is on forearm crutches, so he wouldn’t be able to help past a certain point. I agree with you that the pro’s out weigh the cons, especially the size. This really helped me, so thank you from Val & Gary down here in Texas. 👋

    I have the 2013 version of this. It has the proper outside electrical plug like you desire. I can't believe they changed to that cable system you have, how dumb!!! Also my lever for the big window is metal, not plastic. In 10 yrs I have had zero issues with the awning bag zipper, nor do I have any problems setting or taking down the awning solo. Its tight for two but manageable, and luzurious for solo travel ...lol. All in all I'm pleased it has held up as well asit has, since up until past 2 years it has been stored outside year round here in central Ontario!

    • @bertschuh5720

      No! I have the same trailer. I can stand partially, enough to get pants on etc. It's so small you wouldn't move around much so really no need to stand. I'm 5'8".
      Note also the bed is not very long. I'm fine but a taller person would not stretch out. Think of it as a taller tear drop trailer in which you can cook inside if needed

    Nice little trailer. I love tent camping as I travel across the country, except for those really bad weather days where I arrive after dark in the pouring rain. Enter the mini trailer.
    One thing I'd be worried about placement of the battery, which accounts for 10% of the trailer weight. Should be toward the tongue, not aft under the bed, to reduce likelihood of uncontrolled sway

    • @pepawg2281
      @pepawg2281 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is toward the tongue. Hard to see, but the door is at the rear of the trailer not toward the front. The tongue is facing the garage door.

    • @bloeski
      @bloeski  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The battery is just ahead of the axle. So it will contribute weight on the tongue to help keep it stable.....Thanks for watching.

Just an FYI that in the US, it's illegal in some states to dump gray water. There's so much storage! Wow. What is the cargo capacity (how much weight) can one load into this little unit? Hauling this with a van would be just the ticket.

    Truly appreciate this video / review. Purchasing this would be a huge purchase for me. The prices, like most everything in this country, are insane. I'd be financing this for years and it doesn't seem to be worth it for what little I'd use it. How's the camper keep in heavy rains? Seems like you'd have a leak or two based on some of the issues you've had. Does it tend to run hot inside? Thank you sir. Glad it's working well enough for you. I'm getting too old to be setting up and breaking down the tent (s).

    I've never been to a campground that will allow you to drain grey water directly onto the ground! This is not a good idea and can even be dangerous when done regularly in a place with people close together. There are food particles in that dishwater and after a while, grey and black water are pretty much the same thing. The health department would never allow this in my State. Can't believe Canada would either.

Instead of saying wow that's way to expensive and going on down the road . Refuse to pay that high ass price for shit built with the same quality of crap a trailer house is built of . This thing won't last 5 years if that long , you will start to see the quality after a year , it will need repair .

      Idk, I bought a Travelite camper for my truck boasts 1180lbs and built for short box trucks. I've had it going on 4 years, still in new like shape! I put it on the truck in May and take it off mid October. Only 2-3 things I dislike about mine is, the netting on the cupboards so I added doors and the counter is high and too small so I added a pull up counter and made a box (storage) to stand on. (I'm 5'). It has Domestic air conditioning, heater and 3 way fridge, lots of led lights and plugs, 2 burner propane stove, chemical toilet in cupboard, microwave (took it out), hot water tank and 11 gal. water tank. Sleeps 3, fit 6' person. Rides well as I watch my payload and I have air shocks. Yup, some things are cheaply built on it like the bench seat/bed (I reinforced it) and the crappy netting! But its suppose to be "light."
      I find these compact, travel lite campers and trailers more expensive possibly less of a market for them and not many companies make them especially hard top. It could also be the cost of the "light" building material maybe due to import. His is from Canada, see flag on side, everything in Canada is much more than US due to import fees, and exchange rates.

  • @gsp49
    @gsp49 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Why can't they build these campers with a pointed nose for less wind resistance? If they can do it cargo trailers they should be able to do it with campers too. This is what keeps me from even considering one.

    He mention to many issues , and the cord is for a 30 Amp hookup at any RV park if it to stiff u can replace it , mine is not stiff , so an extension cord he hooks up to it is not properly as heavy wire as the RV cord bad idea 💡

    • @bloeski
      @bloeski  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On a normal sized trailer that is equiped with an Air Conditioner I agree with you that a heavey cord is needed. But this trailer only has a few lights and a battery charger. There is no way for this trailer to use more than an amp or so.

    Its really hard to see the interior of the trailer in its entirety because of how its filmed. You either need a wide angle lens or go to a smaller view.

    How is it legal for a sink to drain out to the ground ?

      Good question. Any idea who has the job of looking at trailers and saying "hey....You can't sell that. It drains on the ground!!"??

    • @mikecrawford7352
      @mikecrawford7352 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are supposed to catch it in a bucket and dump it down a drain or out from camp a ways. But on the flip side it’s not illegal to dump grey water on the ground it is frowned upon for large rvs to do so because all the food particles and larger volume. I wouldn’t do dishes in a sink that small, washing hands brushing teeth

    • @fortyseven1832
      @fortyseven1832 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Gray water from sinks and showers are completely legal to drain on the ground. May be against rules in a rv park but for boondocking on public land it's completely acceptable.

    Throw out that lead acid ship anchor and put in a LiFePo4 battery, replace the ceiling fan with a 12 volt AC unit, and add a 12 volt mini fridge. Lead acid out gases, requires maintenance and has half the stated amp hours. Lithium iron phosphate is lightweight, zero maintenance, and provides the full rated amp hours. Add a bunch of solar panels to the roof with an inverter for 120 volts, and it would be much more usable. Still seems way overpriced.

      Depends on what you want. This offers hard walls that a tent does not have. And electricity, lighting and better protection from rain.

    Im so tired of manufacturers making smaller products out of crap. Why does it have to be crappy just because its smaller? Or a budget friendly price but useless? Cant anyone think of quality or efficient function anymore?😪 oh wait there are some but they are priced for rich people. I can think of a couple reasons, potential of bedbugs, traveling with a pet, mobility issues ( no long hallways to walk through like in a hotel), having your own things around you instead of a dirty hotel room. No vacancies where you want to stay.
