My one cat has learned now to lean ACROSS the mat to scratch the screen door (a favorite past time of his). I had to get out the shock collar again to keep him away as the water spray bottle was not cutting it and at 2am and sleep deprived, listening to him scratching my screen door was too much.
yikes very dumb to put across stove top -- all the cat has to do in jump and land by controls and have a paw turn on the burner and yoweee melted plastic and potential melted kitchen
I like this but the stray cats that used to wander in my yard were bated with poison tuna. Good thing was it was very successful... bad thing was the cats would crawl in all sorts of hard to reach places to die, rot and stink. Under porches, houses, under cars and many dark corners. The neighborhood smelled bad for weeks but now VERY few strays. We get em with pellet guns and .22's now. When our dog "Pepper" hears the shot she goes nuts scratching at the door, finds the cat and shakes the crap out of it while it hisses and screams... then silence. Those stinking ammonia piss pot, turd machine, hairball puking furniture shredding litter box missing vermin are not digging and crapping in the flower bed, in the walkway, scratching the cornerpost of the garage, getting in the garbage or fighting in our yard at midnight anymore. Used to make the dog bark all hours of the night. Not any more! I have not pinged off a Tom in couple weeks now. Nothing left but females and they need a Tom to breed.
Harry Sachz God help your inhumanity. There are so many other ways you could’ve taken care of the problem. I understand how hectic things can get with cats and that some people don’t like them (I endured 22+) but you didn’t have to murder them. They’re innocent animals that act on instinct, they aren’t able to fully understand that what they’re doing is wrong. You could’ve just called animal control.
@@sparta.angel.alissa lol animal control will just look at you like you're crazy and then leave without doing anything. Not even they want to have anything to do with feline vermin. Culling or transporting to a kill shelter are the only ways.

It took my 2 cats less than 30 minutes to figure it out. They knew there was a delay. So they’d simply run across or just jump over it
Then you buy more so that it's too wide for them to run across easily.

No. They are really smart. The dogs on the other hand, less smart.
I bought a long one for my sofa. It quit working within a couple of days but my dog doesn't know that😉

My cat would need one 5x's as strong, covering everything. Best solutions is a steel cage when you can't take it anymore and need to get some rest.

Mine know that if they bug me while I'm dealing with food (theirs or mine), then they go in the kennel.
I tried the crate...then he just claws noisily at the crate bars and sleep is impossible.
