My mom, who passed away at 99, said the most difficult thing about living such a long life was outliving everybody else. What you said in the video rings so true. There is great sadness in losing those who knew you in early life,; and, yes, it is difficult making friends at this age. BTW, Sandra, you look like a 60 year old woman with good genes. Thank you for brightening all our lives.
With regard to frizzy hair: My 10 year old granddaughter is a competitive dancer. My hair is how she spots me from the stage. The other day she was saying grace and said, "And, Lord, please don't let grandma cut her puffy hair".

Oh you really got to my heart about losing friends that knew us back when. I am 75, soon 76 and I have lost many friends that were like sisters. Thank you for mentioning this. Sometimes I could just cry from missing them.😍
The more I watch your videos, the more I adore you, and appreciate your content I have the exact hair, curly, and frizz in humidity, I moved to the south, and my hair drives me crazy, I have tried so many products, in the house it looks great, 2 min outside I am all frizz
Christine, I hear you! I have the same problem I try to put anti-frizz products on my hair and the minute I walk outside in this tropical humanity I am a fresh head, for sure. No matter what I use it never lasts that long. The only thing that would last long is if I put hairspray on my head but then I am a helmet head and my hair is stiff as a board.❤️

Teri, I am so sorry you lost your husband and your soulmate. A loss like that can be devastating but we do survive and we have to move on. I have been there. It really is important that you surround yourself with others who understand what you are going through. We, in this community, do. When you are ready it’s important you find a church or interest group where you can find women who share the same things as you. I know it seems hard sometimes, but it is important that you have someone outside of yourself to share your day is sometime. Yes, I have lost friends as well, or friends don't live close anymore. My sisters are my friends, but live far away. It is sad, and if you are single now, it's lonely. I love utube, because I feel I'm not so alone. I've learned so much from skin care, to wonderful things to make. Utube is a blessing.

I feel for you. This happened with my Mother, she looked at me with my greying hair and when I told her I was in my sixties she was so shocked and worried and always said "well I must be really old then" (she was 92). This happened quite often but we actually used to laugh about it. She passed away three years ago and I miss her so much, she did keep telling me that " no one lives forever you know so enjoy life while you can".I send you my best wishes xxx Sue UK

Nancy I have three children and cocoa butter kept me from having stretch marks, too. If we are happy with ourselves and can entertain ourselves that’s the best. Having friends in a social life is important, though. Most of my friends are gone.❤️

Hi Sandra, This was such a delightful video and I agree...without the beauty of night we wouldn't appreciate the day. I have lost my two dearest childhood friends years ago. Because if my husband's jobs we moved 13 times living in several states and it was difficult to find lasting friendships. I still have two close friends from one of the cities but they both live 2000 miles away. We get together once a year. I have found the most difficult part of aging is losing family members and friends. You are looking so beautiful in this video and your advice about exercise, hydrating and moisturizing is a reminder of what we need to do daily. Thank you for the tip about Strontium Citrate ... I have been diagnosed with Osteoporosis and I cant handle the side effects of the pills or shots for treatment so I feel blessed that your video is what I needed to hear this evening. 80 looks beautiful on you. You are so stylish and articulate . The way aging is viewed in our society is so wrong. The alternative to growing older is dying young so I certainly prefer the latter. I won't deny that aging presents challenges but it doesn't help when society treats seniors like they are invisible. You defy all of that because you take such good care of yourself. Cynthia, I think we should blow that invisible myth to pieces. All of us over 50 can make that happen. We are still viable and are as only old as we think. Ages just a number. That’s a given!❤️

I feel exactly the way you do about aging so it was good to know I’m not the only one! I just turned 70 which is way older than I feel and just don’t know how it’s possible! I really just don’t think about it and didn’t know if I was acting like an ostrich with it’s head in the ground. I don’t enjoy when my high school friends talk about aging and that we won’t be able to do certain things soon and maybe only have x more years to get together etc. seems like a waste of time not to mention depressing! skip the silicones and start oiling your hair,Sandra. Cold rinse to help relax cuticle and while still wet,refined coconut oil.(or regular if you like the coconutty smell)Start with a nickel size ,roots to ends,really get those ends and underneath. Coconut oil penetrates and adds some weight. Towel dry. You will immediately see how much more relaxed it is,even damp. You may even like your curls more. Can add more as it dries or after it dries. It will dry over time and you can touch up. There are oils you can finish with an oil that will seal.

Good afternoon. I honestly believe that 98% of how we age is genetics. Just plain and simple. We can protect what we have by using the best skin care diet and sunscreen, but how we age usually is genetic. I always thank my mother.❤️

Sandra, at only 61 I'm at the border line with my bones also. I think I will look into the strontium citrate. Thank you for this. My doctor just tells me to take calcium and vitamin D which is not helping one bit. I have a yearly bone scan and have been losing density now for the past 5 years. So glad you share this with. Good morning Sandra, I thoroughly enjoyed your video very informative and interesting to watch and yes I can relate to the friends answer it is very difficult to make friends when we no longer have the network we once had when bringing up our families. With the work culture of constantly moving to gain work or promotion, my own friends have all moved away because I have very recently retired I have pushed myself to try different groups which I am finding to be a great source of interaction with people within a similar age group to myself and living in the city as I do there are shows to go and see and museums and art galleries to visit which I enjoy very much and of course there are family duties too. Growing older and looking older does not bother me at all I'm happy in my own skin all I really hope for is good health so that I can hopefully enjoy as much as possible my retirement years. On friends...I'm now retired, my 90 yr. old mom living w me, etc. I had a dream as amateur artist to join an art club, which I have, that brought me to many new friends, and of course, to be honest, out of 50, I've grown close to two. Usually people have 1, 2, 3 really close friends. My mom made new friends at the senior center. (All her relatives and friends have passed)..so my true belief is you can have new friends w like interests, art, music, kayaking, photography, etc. The main thing is, be yourself, don't try to make friends, they will come naturally to you.

Sandra thank you for this video. I never really thought about aging until I lost my husband three years ago at age 59. Then my entire life changed. I was no longer a couple and I know it's not intentional, but friends stopped including me in things. I never thought I'd be a widow at this stage of life. My two closest friends who were single and I've known most of my life have now moved to be closer to their children. We keep in touch through SM but it's not the same. Sometimes I feel like a boat with a rudder.
Hi Annemarie. I’ve just read your comment and can identify with it so much having lost my husband suddenly two years ago when I was 61. My life too has gone through upheaval I never expected . I felt adrift at sea and “alone” . I am lucky to have children and friends near by but have been surprised at some who don’t bother any more as “ things aren’t the same”. I value those who do keep in touch and I make the effort to be as positive as I can be when with them. I can’t see a future - I just take days and weeks at a time. I find it too frightening to think too far ahead. Take care.
Annemarie, I don’t know why friends of couples do that. It seems so ‘unloyal’ and against true friendship. You will find your way in time. I was 39 when I became a widow and the same thing happened to me. Luckily I had my small children to think of, so that gave me purpose and direction. ❤️. Sandra

My red flags went up and I am 62. Maybe he was an upstanding guy but to me it was poor judgement to invite you someplace not public. Rather unprofessional,no matter who he may have been. My mom, who passed away at 99, said the most difficult thing about living such a long life was outliving everybody else. What you said in the video rings so true. There is great sadness in losing those who knew you in early life,; and, yes, it is difficult making friends at this age. BTW, Sandra, you look like a 60 year old woman with good genes. Christine, I hear you! I have the same problem I try to put anti-frizz products on my hair and the minute I walk outside in this tropical humanity I am a fresh head, for sure. No matter what I use it never lasts that long. The only thing that would last long is if I put hairspray on my head but then I am a helmet head and my hair is stiff as a board.❤️

There was a big age difference and we had been married 32 years and now find myself lost. Teri, I am so sorry you lost your husband and your soulmate. A loss like that can be devastating but we do survive and we have to move on. I have been there. It really is important that you surround yourself with others who understand what you are going through. We, in this community, do. When you are ready it’s important you find a church or interest group where you can find women who share the same things as you. I know it seems hard sometimes, but it is important that you have someone outside of yourself to share your day is sometime. Yes, I have lost friends as well, or friends don't live close anymore. My sisters are my friends, but live far away. It is sad, and if you are single now, it's lonely. I love utube, because I feel I'm not so alone. I've learned so much from skin care, to wonderful things to make. Utube is a blessing.

I feel for you. This happened with my Mother, she looked at me with my greying hair and when I told her I was in my sixties she was so shocked and worried and always said "well I must be really old then" (she was 92). This happened quite often but we actually used to laugh about it. Nancy I have three children and cocoa butter kept me from having stretch marks, too. If we are happy with ourselves and can entertain ourselves that’s the best. Having friends in a social life is important, though. Most of my friends are gone.❤️

Hi Sandra, This was such a delightful video and I agree...without the beauty of night we wouldn't appreciate the day. I have lost my two dearest childhood friends years ago. Because if my husband's jobs we moved 13 times living in several states and it was difficult to find lasting friendships. I still have two close friends from one of the cities but they both live 2000 miles away. We get together once a year. I have found the most difficult part of aging is losing family members and friends. You are looking so beautiful in this video and your advice about exercise, hydrating and moisturizing is a reminder of what we need to do daily. Thank you for the tip about Strontium Citrate ... I have been diagnosed with Osteoporosis and I cant handle the side effects of the pills or shots for treatment so I feel blessed that your video is what I needed to hear this evening. 80 looks beautiful on you. You are so stylish and articulate . The way aging is viewed in our society is so wrong. The alternative to growing older is dying young so I certainly prefer the latter. I won't deny that aging presents challenges but it doesn't help when society treats seniors like they are invisible. You defy all of that because you take such good care of yourself. Cynthia, I think we should blow that invisible myth to pieces. All of us over 50 can make that happen. We are still viable and are as only old as we think. Ages just a number. That’s a given!❤️

I feel exactly the way you do about aging so it was good to know I’m not the only one! I just turned 70 which is way older than I feel and just don’t know how it’s possible! I really just don’t think about it and didn’t know if I was acting like an ostrich with it’s head in the ground. I don’t enjoy when my high school friends talk about aging and that we won’t be able to do certain things soon and maybe only have x more years to get together etc. seems like a waste of time not to mention depressing! skip the silicones and start oiling your hair,Sandra. Cold rinse to help relax cuticle and while still wet,refined coconut oil.(or regular if you like the coconutty smell)Start with a nickel size ,roots to ends,really get those ends and underneath. Coconut oil penetrates and adds some weight. Towel dry. You will immediately see how much more relaxed it is,even damp. You may even like your curls more. Can add more as it dries or after it dries. It will dry over time and you can touch up. There are oils you can finish with an oil that will seal.

Good afternoon. I honestly believe that 98% of how we age is genetics. Just plain and simple. We can protect what we have by using the best skin care diet and sunscreen, but how we age usually is genetic. I always thank my mother.❤️

I love Alberto VO 5 , from the good old days. I had trouble finding it around town but I got mine on Amazon. Use a tiny bit on your ✋ you can always use more but you can't take it off very well. It comes in blue for graying hair.

Jay, we really have to be careful about what we put in our bodies if we’re on medication. Fortunately I had a procedure done and I no longer have Afib but I still watch what I take.❤️
Good morning Sandra, I thoroughly enjoyed your video very informative and interesting to watch and yes I can relate to the friends answer it is very difficult to make friends when we no longer have the network we once had when bringing up our families. With the work culture of constantly moving to gain work or promotion, my own friends have all moved away because I have very recently retired I have pushed myself to try different groups which I am finding to be a great source of interaction with people within a similar age group to myself and living in the city as I do there are shows to go and see and museums and art galleries to visit which I enjoy very much and of course there are family duties too. Growing older and looking older does not bother me at all I'm happy in my own skin all I really hope for is good health so that I can hopefully enjoy as much as possible my retirement years. On friends...I'm now retired, my 90 yr. old mom living w me, etc. I had a dream as amateur artist to join an art club, which I have, that brought me to many new friends, and of course, to be honest, out of 50, I've grown close to two. Usually people have 1, 2, 3 really close friends. My mom made new friends at the senior center. (All her relatives and friends have passed)..so my true belief is you can have new friends w like interests, art, music, kayaking, photography, etc. The main thing is, be yourself, don't try to make friends, they will come naturally to you.

My mother also in her 90s when she was alive made good friends with those of her own age and she relocated to live with me. Somehow friends find one another if we are open and honest❤️

Sandra thank you for this video. I never really thought about aging until I lost my husband three years ago at age 59. Then my entire life changed. I was no longer a couple and I know it's not intentional, but friends stopped including me in things. I never thought I'd be a widow at this stage of life. My two closest friends who were single and I've known most of my life have now moved to be closer to their children. We keep in touch through SM but it's not the same. Sometimes I feel like a boat with a rudder.
Hi Annemarie. I’ve just read your comment and can identify with it so much having lost my husband suddenly two years ago when I was 61. My life too has gone through upheaval I never expected . I felt adrift at sea and “alone” . I am lucky to have children and friends near by but have been surprised at some who don’t bother any more as “ things aren’t the same”. I value those who do keep in touch and I make the effort to be as positive as I can be when with them. I can’t see a future - I just take days and weeks at a time. I find it too frightening to think too far ahead. Take care.

Annemarie, I don’t know why friends of couples do that. It seems so ‘unloyal’ and against true friendship. You will find your way in time. I was 39 when I became a widow and the same thing happened to me. Luckily I had my small children to think of, so that gave me purpose and direction. ❤️. Sandra

I am so glad you brought that talent manager up again bcuz my first impression, the first time I heard you speak of this, was that you were a young,beautiful woman and trusted your intuition. My red flags went up and I am 62. Maybe he was an upstanding guy but to me it was poor judgement to invite you someplace not public. Rather unprofessional,no matter who he may have been. The "casting couch" was and still does exist. I do understand your regret,i applaude you for following your gut.
