Never-Seez is your friend. Anytime I remove parts from my 00 Park Ave, I put a dab of it on any threads to keep corrosion out plus it is easier to work on next time. Even in Florida I use the anti-seize stuff.
Changed my rear shocks about a month ago and I put in the KYB units. Same procedure for installation.
Next up should be rotors and pads and I know the video is 4 years old.

Just finished replacing them on our 2003 LeSabre, thanks for recording and explaining things. By the way, can definitely confirm the air line clip only needs to be rotated.

    Great video!
One thing is you didn't have to pull that metal clip on the air line all the way off.
Just rotate it 90 degrees and you can disconnect the hose.

I just used a Monroe spring assisted shock and disconnected the air pump.
Also, watch the bracket the holds the main spring. The lip tends to hold road debris, which blocks the weap holes, and then rots them out. They do sell replacement brackets.

Dude! To hell with the shocks! Rotors are trashed! 😆 Good job though!

Just adding my two cents from experience on this job for any people about to tackle this. If you get the Monroe Ma855 shocks that come with a 17mm set of nuts for the shock mount, you have to use them. If you attempt to reuse the 15mm nuts they will not thread and you’ll hear clunking from the mounts. You might also notice the shock has play when you grab it from the wheel well. If you have to source replacement nuts they are M10-1.5.

If you break those clips on the bottom shock mount just use a lock washer and nut.

Good job but better to do the bottom bolts first when installing the new one. Much easier that way

I got a 2000 lesabre and my airlines were beveled within the air fitting of the shock, I used a bolt cutters to free the line from the fitting.

I can't think of the brand off the top of my head, but they came with these 2 white fuses that are sort of rounded at the tip. Not sure where these are supposed to go?

Are those air intake nipples threaded? Mine are. I can't find OEM replacements anywhere. What brand are these? I don't want to go with non-air struts.
