He needs to close his bank accounts and put a freeze on his credit with all three credit bureau agencies.
as a work at home employee for over 8 years, most real remote jobs will only employ ppl in the same state as the employer, and you will come in until you transition.

This literally happened to me I’m glad I caught on fast before I shipped any orders out I already reported it to the fraud scams online and called the police for it

I fell for it too. but I reported their butts, and they have another thing coming because some of us actually know how to fight back using their same medicines
I read the letter from the Postal Inspector, and it comes this close to giving a benefit of the doubt to someone who obviously acted in good faith for a job, then sure enough, in the second paragraph, YOU'RE GUILTY. Police mentality, prosecute the guy you have, not the guy who is guilty.
I just reported a woman who does this. I contacted the FTC, FBI, and Attorney General. This angers me greatly.
I fell for it. I’m so upset. They didn’t get money out of me bc I realize what was happening but personal info. The company was Tilray.
I just got hit with a job scam two days ago. The guy asked for my SSN and photo ID. I feel so dumb 😞. I didn’t give my bank information but I think my SSN and ID is enough for identify theft. I emailed the company and they said the guy that interviewed me wasn’t associated with them and that they were glad I emailed them because it happened to others as well. 😞
