VIDEO: Phoenix woman falls victim to 'reshipping scam'

A Phoenix woman thought she had gotten hired to work from hom but she was really part of a "reshipping scam" and didn't even know it. (Monday, January 8, 2018)

Ebay sellers like myself are having a terrible time with these criminals. From what I have seen, lot's of Americans are falling for the repackaging scams because of the promise of a quick and easy buck. The scammers I have caught are mostly either of Russian or Ukrainian origin and get the items shipped to American people who reship the items or either ship the items directly to bulk reshipping companies who operate in America. How to stop it as a seller: If you are a seller, create shipping policies that do not allow you to ship if the buyer's name and the ship to name are not the same. If in doubt, don't ship the item.

Bastards got my drivers license information and address but not my SSN or Bank information. I caught on after receiving email messages from supposed managers and each of them have blank profiles and their website is not legit so i knew something was up. So far no packages received and i will tell them i have FBI investigating them

How long did u do it for? That's horrible did u get in trouble with the police? So scary!

@@Fani.ladomi The job lasted a month. It's very scary. They promised me 3,000 monthly and when it came time for them to pay me they just vanished. No I didn't get arrested thank god. But another job offered me the same thing recently and I didn't accept it. I have no interest in working home again during the pandemic.

Same here. They removed the site where we communicated and it’s scary because I filled out a w-4.

me neither. I am the victim too. Now my credit card is totally fucked up and I cannot afford to pay.
