Same thing happen to this woman not to long ago, that she was laid off from her job due to covid 19, so she decided to find a work from home job, she found one and they "hired" her, and send her a check around the same amount, she cashed the check, and her money is gone. What "company" would hire you, then send you a check? BIG RED FLAG!!
@@CognitoTanKhaiiHuitkh9917 What happens is that as soon as she cashes the check, the scammers will tell her to send money from her bank account to their account. The check will then show as declined later on, so the scammer gets her money while she loses the money she sent to the scammer.
@@franrc265 did her account get banned . Once I deposited I knew it wasn’t right. I never touched the money it’s still pending. I have joint with my family I’m scared that they would be affected too
A legitimate work from home job would never do that. They'll hire you and put you on their payroll, but they'll pay you after completing some work for them.
That's exactly why when I played with a scammer like that, I took all my money out of my account (I also needed to switch banks, so that was a plus). Idiots didn't realize I was playing with them until I exposed right to them that I knew lol
Yeah... This is such an obvious scam that's been going on for years. Something is wrong if they send you a check for 3500 then asks you to forward some of that money to some bookstore. I guess the girl hasn't worked a job in her life or else she would've thought something was very off. This is not how a hiring process works.
I got scammed in this same way about a month ago. Their grammar was good and they claimed to be an employee at the school, but after I gave them some money, I then realized it was fake.
This happened to someone i know and they actually went to jail for awhile for this scam. it's so horrible these innocent people getting taking advantage of
Many banks hold checks for 2-5 days. In this case wait the whole five days. When they pressure you to send them money that's when the red flags go up high. But as a general rule you don't send jobs money nor do jobs send you no unless you do some sort of work first

Someone contacted me about some graphic design work, they tried to do the same to me. Profile pic was of a 60 year old white man ,but when I tried to call them through IG they immediately declined the call. IG allowed me to see, for a split second, who was on the end. Was a black man between 20-30 years old.
I contacted Mr movark to help track down this scammers and we have made huge progress already we have his exact location we are just waiting for the Feds he shall be caught real soon
why doesn't the bank do a better job recognizing the check as fake before authorizing it? Seems like the bank is conspiring with this scam.
Correct, Atom. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised! What a bunch of dirtbags.

How does cashing the check drained her money?

"I am a staff" should've been a dead give away.
So much victim blaming in these comments. SMH
Naturally, the scammer provided no phone number or street address where he could be reached.
Thanks to this Video i avoided this accident. I recently applied to a similar job By UNICEF. I had send my personal info but thank god i avoided this
I got a Unicef job work from home email too, luckily I searched it up for fraud
How did you get your personal info back?
I recently got the UNICEF scam too! I thought it was legit because the job was offered through my school.
@@aneshaelizabeth I got it but sent my info because i didnt realize it was a scam
I’m in the same situation. Did y’all sent an ID because I did and was nervous that they might find me.
That is a new low…scamming a college student that doesn’t have money!
True
THIS scam is as OLD as the HILLS!!!

@@allynfollette how did you fix it? They halfway scammed me too in the same way
They send counterfeit checks that will most likely bounce and a way for them to steal your entire money from your bank account.

Kind of proves that college doesn't make you smart
Correct. We can make ourselves be smart.
Why can’t she just get a normal job like rest of us like working at a fast food restaurant?
Cos that’s not normal to everyone. Professional people want professional job like me
Going to college without brains.
Laugh my ass off! It seems to be getting worse. Just forget the colleges. They, too, can be scams.
Facts 😅
You can tell she is young and super naive
Well it is expected considering the standards of colleges now. Not the brightest but whoever gets the loans.
Can't believe how some people can be so selfish and unethical! 😩 Let's raise awareness and demand accountability

She is too young and innocent. I’ve had about 5 or 6 job changes and never got pay in advance.
What if she had deposited the check into her account and then don't forward it ? That way the scammer gets scammed
The bank rejects the deposit
We they ask u to send money back!! SCAM!!
It's usually so obvious by the scammer's poor grammar and writing skills. Sorry for this lady, but people need to start paying attention.
