Omg yes!!! I keep getting scam calls and weird 800 numbers for no reason. So I deleted my account in indeed data deletion.

Craigslist too. They said job interview but try to sell you a service during the interview. They were lucky I was not carrying.

I'm a jobseeker living in India. Trust me we face much worse living here due to UPI being way too normal in this country.
Companies should stop making these big employment announcements that they are hiring thousands of people when they are NOT. They announce major job openings for a media buzz feed effect.
Linkedin long ago became 98% garbage. I can't imagine anyone paying for the service. I was one of the first 50k users back in the day when it was techs networking with other techs. Now I just laugh at it.

I keep getting emails and texts from fake employers
They are also on indeed and every other job posting site.
If you apply for hotel work and the interview isn't in the offices , but rather in a guest room: beware.
They are on CareerBuilder too. Why don’t these companies clean this up? Smh

Craigslist has had this for 20 years. And Craigslist still let's them continue. Its up to the site user to do their homework

The best way to get a job is through your connections. What a terrible thing to do. Our social security numbers were stolen in an IRS breach. Identity theft never ends. LinkedIn needs to vet the employers.
I have been receiving these calls every single day recently. They ask you to email your ID that's when I knew it was bogus especially after they asked for social

Other clues are that they connect you with a job that is not in your normal area. I had a call just yesterday where they used some of my skills but the job was at Google. I'd never be hired by them. Beware, there is software out there that can change someone's voice. In one case I was set up for an interview with a big company in my area of expertise. I. called that company. to try and validate the interview but they would not help me and do so. On the meeting request was 4 people from India but no person from the company. I was too afraid to click on any links in the. message.
