It's not bad idea, find a old fridge and take out everything cut holes for air intake pipes and all set

Did you REALLY leave that 2 inch gap between the fan and duct hole at each side of box? Did you check your hash temps? It seems like, with the resistance of the ducting, that you would be recirculating more air inside the box than drawing cool air through the ducts.

The fans have enough power to bridge the gap
The air is forced to circulate through the miner because it is jacketed with insulation so no air can circulate in the box
@@nexus7513 well technically it is circulating inside the box without being sealed to the duct work properly as it is in the video which isn't exactly a bad thing because if it wasn't being circulated you would then be storing and building up heat inside that box. The air is being circulated / removed out the other end, however these things aren't rated to be run at super cold temps, you still want it somewhat warm ( I live in North Dakota and 40 degrees is warm to me... ) with good firmware, reducing your hashrate a tad and asic boost, you can run the fans on 50% speed for an even more quiet run and still stay around 55 - 65 degrees F safely.

Next week I will sell some again.
Regarding the material the case was made of wood (kifernholz). The whole thing was insulated with composite foam (high density) otherwise thermally insulated air ducts were used.

T K 50mm bzw 5cm wichtigster Faktor bei Verbundschaum ist aber das "Raumgewicht" um so höher um so besser ;)

Yes, above and below the miner is also insulated but slightly thinner. The PSU can be packed in the box with the L3. For the D3 or S9, however, it should be installed outside because of the heat generated by the higher energy intake

This does not work the heat will built inside the box and will overheat. Then once it blows the hot air out will build inside the box and will cause intense heat. The pipe needs to attach via shroud and pipe. Directly
I have run the system for 2 years without heat problems. Even in the summer at 35 degrees and my mine are still running
And your statement is not correct because the miner or the housing also produces waste heat that is not carried away when you attach the pipes directly to the fans.
But if you still have a different opinion then use it as you like
But do not say it does not work

@@johnydoe6797 Your going to teach me about design, you do not know who I am, what I do, or what setup I have. So before talking nonsense, do the experiment first. I got in touch with people who bought this, and they told me the exact thing. Does this reduce noise, yes it does, does it keep the machine at a comfortable temp, no it does not. Temps are abit high using this box, when it gets warmer, it will be a great concern. Adults talk with knowledge, kids talk with a "know it all" mentality and judging by the way you talk, that took a year to reply shows, what your knowledge is.
