A Closer Look Into the LiteSound Box Design

  • A quick overview of the LiteSound Box's elements, components and how they work with each other to dampen the sound coming out of your miner (S19j in this case), while making sure it doesn't overheat.
    The LiteSound Box is the most efficient miner sound-proofing box on the market, enabling quiet mining of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies at your home.
    With over 100 prototype units sold, several iterations and much testing, we have created a case that is suitable for at-home mining allowing you to run your own miners with ~50dB of noise output per miner, while helping keep the Bitcoin (or other) network decentralized as it was intended to be.
    Mine your own Bitcoin, quietly.

    like the sturdy design , there a few things that can eazily be changed , for one hot air rises up , so making it eazier for the air to do so and dont hang around the ceiling of the box you should put the whole thing including the miner itself with the cold side / intake on the underside and the hot side / exhaust up top , this basicly sits the miner up standing on the intake side , that should help a LOT dissipating the heat even without fans running
    those small fans that come standard on that machine produce a LOT of noise and actually dont move as mush air for the power they consume , you could put a big squirrelcase extraction fan inside the box blowing air through the miners and fit fansimulators to the controllboard doing away with those small fans , this should increase the airflow through both the miner and the airbox and should lower its operating temperature
    finally waterproof it and make it look like an utillitybox so it can sit outside the house without drawing suspicion or people with sticky fingers (though others might stick posters to it) , im planning to put sumting like it on the balcony of my apartment , so it doesnt heat up my home during the summertime

      Thank you for your comment. Highly innovative and informative. We did years of testing and some things never work. Like printed exhaust/intake shrouds with ducts ( cheap and looks like its working), boxes with in/out ducts, external fans ( only to help air extraction), layers of insulation ( bulky and needs a lot of space) etc. Our design, besides good soundproofing will give you, whats most important for miners is ROI. Box that works under $1000. Others that work are way more expensive and once that dont will cost way less. We say research and use common sense. Good luck with your design, its innovative and will work.

      @@litesoundbox647 been looking at those 3d printed schrouds , only a matter of time these end up on a public platform as a downloadable file the endresult is a pretty long machine though , my idea is the same consept but build as a box and standing straight up , should take up a lot less space (less than a meter high and about 32cm wide per side ) , the squirrel fan (not sure if thats the american name , looks like a smailhousing , there used on oilfurnaces amongst other things ) are a little smaller than the tube kind , eazier to mound on one of the walls on the inside of the box and as im running two miners inside one box is going to move 1500 cubic meters of air a minute at full trottle ........ its basicly enough to blow small electric components straight off the hashboards , goin to run it way slower most of the time , the people that sell those schrouds allso found a small add on board that you can connect to the controll board to controll the fanspeed at household voltage
      box itself should be pretty simple basicly a square columb on 4 small legs with a raised bottom that allso mounts the extraction fan underneath blowing up though a plenum intoo a second floor with the holes for the miners that sit on top
      hood over the opening in the top that has an airgap all around and slides down over the columb like an upside down box , insulation all around it
      to get to the miners you lift of that hood all electrics and data run down the top too ...... should work and be quet even without insulation
      to get a hose on you fit a tighter lid with a mounting flange for the hose

    Do you need to blow air with a fan into the the opening chamber for the miner to suck air in . Does it have to be cold air or just fan blowing

    • @litesoundbox647
      @litesoundbox647  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So the miner has 2 fans on the back that suck air in. As long as the temp/humidity of the exterior air going in is within the manufacturer’s range for the specific miner, you wouldn’t need to additionally cool it. You would need to make sure that the hot air coming out of the miner is going outside of the room you have your miner in.

    what is the sound level at the end of the ducting? Wouldn't the sound still be 75 db coming out through the ducts themselves?

    • @litesoundbox647
      @litesoundbox647  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sound looses its intensity by distance and broken path, so its much less than 75db

    How did you get a patent? You said patented design sound box. There are 5 other videos with this same design dating back to 2018 for the antminer S9.

    • @litesoundbox647
      @litesoundbox647  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well our patent was filed in late 2017. Some of those videos you're referring to might be ours when it was still an amateur project. :)

    So based on the drawing of the design, looks like the air intake is going in at the bottom of the box to the intake fans. And I see the exhaust outlets on both side of the box. Have you done any testing or maybe have another video showing what the temperature range would be on the inlet vs the outlet side? Also is the box design for indoor/outdoor or both? TY.

    • @litesoundbox647
      @litesoundbox647  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We are working on a video to show the temperature of the hashboards while the machine is running, but not the intake vs outlet necessarily. We primarily designed this box for indoor use. Using it outdoors would require further protection of the box, but then again that depends what kind of outdoor environment you would place the box in as well.

    How is your psu running I believe the PSU air intake is on the same side as the miners outlet. Which means your PSU is pulling all that hot air? Please correct me if I'm Wrong.
