Honestly it's such a one dimensional way of thinking when people look solely at the hp / engine size and automatically say it's too expensive/cannot tapau some other car. If it's too expensive then buy something else, if you think it cannot tapau other car then just buy a lambo. Feature-wise it's a huge step up and good value for money, considering our tax structure. Hopefully more car makers can make more highly competitive cars moving forwards. Tired of looking at Ts and Hs all the time.

Find a car that suit our needs. no need to find a car that suit most of the sourly mouth. End of the day, we pay the installment and they just keep on blah blah blah. I would go for a test drive.
3 cylinder 1.0L turbocharged 100hp 152Nm at 2500~4000rpm. Very good. They are trying to bounce back to action in malaysian auto industry.

Viewing this car after seeing x50 interior. Although this is a sedan while x50 is a suv, the x50 really set another league of benchmark for the segment
A good contender for the for all the B segment.Thnxx nissan for upping ur gameplay in b segment.Now other manufacturers have no chpice but to push more technologies into cars.However the price that worries.The set the price high and soon others will follow nissan too.Aish aish.
Well i drove the old "almari" , if there a list of things i could ask from the new version is : a) better acceleration (done now by 152Nm in 2400 rpm) b) a foldable rear seat ( granted) c) better looking/proportionate exterior ( wishes come true) d) maintain the other specs that previous has which is spacious, heavy rigid handling and fuel efficiency : ( all done 95%) so yeah no complaint ill get this one if i decide to trade in or have extra fund or the price lower later, coz ppl can say anything abt prev almera , but for me its a reliable,comfy and saving family car as long as u follow service schedule.
*if i wan to practice drift in genting then i prolly look for sumthin else.

Nissan can try to be experimental and fit this Almera with the E-Power powertrain. Might as well can be on par with the Honda's e-HEV in the City but probably the price will be jacked up.
Let just wait for a full review, or even go for a test drive on your own later to know whether it is underpowered or not.

An Almera worth buying, this. The new City i-MMD may be more hi tech, but for the majority of Malaysian drivers, this turbo engine should work best.

There is no more heater for this almera? I saw the aircond knob indicator shown blue color only and no more red on the right side.
I do miss the warm feeling while driving the old almera on the heavily rainy day.

I have reservation on 3 cylinder engine. It is good that Honda City stick to 1.5 NA. But I believe Nissan will have a good hand on the 3 cylinder.

Cars equipped with AEB should get big discounts on insurance premium since most of the accident claims are cause by accidents that can be prevented by AEB, so win-win for both parties.

Just found out from Nissan salesperson that oil change is every 7000km / 6 months whichever first. 7k km oil change to protect turbo engine. So basically, more frequent visits to the service centre. I would prefer a normal engine with 10k km service intervals because I'm a daily driver. Think about it guys.

It's btiful. Check that CVT, hope Nissan have improved it. Turbo can still be remapp for xtra 10hp. For 1 liter, and for that price..........the choice is yours!!

Kete ni design dh cantik tp bcoz of 1.0L turbo enjin & price lebih kurang X50, maka jem la kepala staff nissan nk jual. Tengok la skrg, tempahan X50 mletop. Nissan almera ni krik3 hehehe. Patut jual pada purata RM60k - RM70k je maksimum.

Overall the car had improve alot, but so did the price. This car price above Honda City range and will not take much market share from Honda. Disappointed on the pricing but the car outlook and interior is getting better.
More thing you got more you need to pay. Its just the way thing work most of the time in this world.
AEB is standard all accross the range but base spec only 2 airbags 🤔. Nevertheless turbo ftw. Nothing beats turbo. Also the white & black dashboard & seats looks way better than the boring black interiors most cars have today

The new car trend, all the car segment is slowly taking over to higher level, the B segment is to take over C segmdnt, and C segment is taking over D segment, D segment buyer will be lesser and lesser as the price is not competitive anymore...

Hariharan Krishnan far from reliability. Driving in city might do ok. Drive like a maniac, both engine and cvt will surely blow up.

I'm a Nissan fanboy & tbh it look like Nissan Maxima & YES there a huge problem with this car!!! It should be strong like Honda City nor Toyota Vios but yet come with low spect. Why u ask? It's for city use ONLY & don't expect a longer journey if u want to jam ur car early :)

Light foot: Almera
Almera is quieter with better nvh and drive refinement. It also beat city in fuel economy and safety features. I watched ys Khong test drove Almera and achieved 23 km/l in city drive. This fuel economy beats all b segment cars and give good fight to A segment cars, while Almera body is near to C segment size. Worth a look. Cheers.
Honda will win in the B segment because it has 4 cylinders. Almera must have 4 cylinder Turbo to win.

Most people that buy this car not even gonna look at the engine bay. So they don't bother make engine cover, just gonna add to the cost.

Most if not all cars in Malaysia below the RM 100k price point have no engine cover, and as someone else mentioned, who would spend their time looking at their engine bay?
@@nerraD27 Really??Most of the car?which car???The most popular car under 100k like Honda City, Toyota Vios, Mazda 2, Myvi and many more all have engine cover with their tech name like VVT, I-Vtec, Skyactiv VVT-i and more emblazoned on the cover.The reason is aesthetic..You will be opening the hood many time checking the fluid level, topping up the oil and many more..If i am doing doing that, i would like to see an organized and nice engine bay rather than a messy jumble up hose and wire going everywhere...How much does a cheap plastic engine cover cost anyway???

People complain car isn't fast enough.. hello, you guys are driving a B-segment car. How fast you want it to be? Drive 180-200km/h have to push to the limits then a BMW, Mercedes just pass by you with ease. In the end also reach your destination
