@@Yddp3307 ya you are totally right. The bumper gap with ground also higher and the car shoulder line is high makes this car look narrow, taller and smaller than it's should. Coz on paper the new city is larger. It's interior also look old skool. Prev gen is much better.
@@athlonium dk what happened to the honda designers, no hate towards honda, they have the best measurement for their b segment cars but they completely ruin it with proportions, C pillar is too thick, the weird triangular small window for the backdoor which doesn't flow with the design at all, oversized headlamps and taillamps made the car look too thin, overly thick chromebar on the front makes the front too tall looking, shoulder line too far away from wheel wells, rear bumper too thick, having nice looking lamps doesnt mean the car is good looking, people say got bmw lights, but bmw has ultra nice proportions to fit in the large lamps, i can go on forever on the wrong things on the design of the new city
My experience for new almera is its the best city driving car right now in the B Sedan segment. Sips fuel when you drive calmly. The acceleration is quite good when you dart around in the city.
If you take a look at the upcoming Sylphy that looks super good too. Similar to the Almera but even smarter. Have seen it on roads last year when I was in China.
this car definitely appeal more than the city for a new model car in the market. saw few city on the road and I still cant believe it doesn't look like a new car previous gen city felt more fresh TBH kudos almera designers!
The top speed of this car is actually quite surprising, having tested it it clocked 180 and above, although there unfortunately is a speed limiter when you hit 190 or more. Though I'd say the car is one of the most comfortable and stable in it's segment. In fact it's highway manners can put some C-Segmenters a run for their money.
@@regizeelement8511 it was able to touch 190 (probably more) with a very slight downhill. But the speed limiter cuts it off quite abruptly at 190. Iirc it has best-in-class aerodynamics of only 0.28 Cd. Big power isin't necessarily the only contributing factor for top speed. The drivetrain efficiency, aerodynamics, weight and more would pay a contributing factor
Just found out from Nissan salesperson that oil change is every 7000km / 6 months whichever first. 7k km oil change to protect turbo engine. So basically, more frequent visits to the service centre. I would prefer a normal engine with 10k km service intervals because I'm a daily driver. Think about it guys.
In that price range, unless u're buying a boring Vios. Otherwise a Honda City will be having more visits to the service centre, not due to routine every 10000k service but for complaints and claims.
Test drove the almera, l like almost every aspect of it, the looks, the handling, pickup and drivability. Just 1 think i hope nissan can improve will be the slight vibration in the cockpit when the car is idle. Else, it is a good n comfortable car to have.
Tested drive with parents. They said suspension is not as comfortable as honda city. Design meter cluster all are Almera winner. But what about after sales?
@@eujinpan Clear and concise 👍🏻 Too bad we don't get the almera in Singapore. I own the Nissan Pulsar (I don't think it's available in Malaysia) and they both look similar 😊 Anyways, looking forward to your next review 👍🏻

I can hear GC Mah finding the rotan d...

Depan mata this almera so much better looking than the new city. Inside and out.
💯 agreed!!
I guess it’s down to individual preferences.
City only has good looking lamps, other than that proportions all fail

I'm extremely flattered! Thanks for your continued support!
I think Nissan sacked all the people that designed the old Almera😂😂

The basic version is quite worth it, for someone with safety in mind and savings at the same time.
Basic rm80K with Turbo, yes worth it 👍

Paddle Shifters like it’s competitor
Flat bottom steering for the higher variant
It would be a great deal for money

The best english review is from Eu Ji. I love to see your review even I am a subscriber.
He got me.. I among the thousand who booked x50.. even though I love so much with Almera exterior but it cant justify not to choose over x50

That's normal. Every turbo car needs to change oil early. For me at least.😅

Hope in new coming Almera, might include rear aircond vent and 2 usb port.
It has 3 USB inside the car, aircond freaking cold for level 1. Use a good quality tint and you can make your car cold so quick.

Yes the new model jatco cvt
Yes but it has a high safety margin , can take 200NM
This is what should have been the next gen Lancer
