    You can definitely feel the difference between stock and tuned, the stock torque management is ridiculous because the power is nutless down low. When it’s tuned it definitely feels better. I’ve noticed it’ll rev out too even tho the boost starts to fall off. Try an e50 blend. It reduces fuel prices to almost 87 costs if you 50:50 e85 with 91/93. At least that’s what I do when I’m at Kwik Star/Trip.

      The issues with adding more ethanol is that the fuel will burn faster, ethanol is great for power but it will burn faster, reducing your overall fuel consumption per tank, especially with e50.

    Bro I’m trying to get mine tuned. The horsepower is so lowww. It feels dangerous even merging because it can’t pick up any speed. How much should this stuff cost? I don’t know anything about cars but if I have a proper budget, I can save up and make it happen. I want to keep my fusion for at least another 5 years but if it keeps driving like an old lady car, I’m going to get tired of it and buy something else. I want to be faster and a little louder. Any help would be appreciated!

      50hp gain? iirc the 2.0 has 245 stock. If my math is correct, he gained 12hp and 27tq over the stock config. Or maybe i'm missing something here. Where did he get 50hp/90tq gains from? Unless he's confusing the 1.5T's stock numbers (181hp/185tq).

      @@junkiexl86 so basically you didn't watch till the end. See 12:10, he really did make that much more power and torque. It's not really a surprise. Ford severely undertunes their engines with very little timing and over richening at certain RPM to be safe for grandma to floor it even when she put 87 in it.

    just a heads up, that mercon LV is supposed to turn black. there was a SSM that mentioned not to service it based off the discoloration of the fluid. If you were to check the trans fluid even at 15k it would be the same darkness of color. however, that being said, doing a trans service early never hurts anything.

    • @fusionvic
      @fusionvic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Mercon LV I've used in the SHO, Fusion Sport, Explorer 3.5, and even the GM 6T70 never turned black. In fact, the GM 6T70 in my girlfriend's Malibu 2.0 has over 100k miles on the original ATF and its still normal color (not black).

      I've worked at a dealership for over 10 years and i remember when this service message came out talking about this exact thing. MERCON V stayed red a lot longer than LV. Again, you can't service it based off looks. The only real way to know that a lubricant has lost it's lubricity is to have it lab tested.

      Amazon, eBay, Steeda , Livernoismotorsports
      I would start with a K&N cold air intake 400$ and 👍 tires. that CAI adds 10 Hp and nice turbo sound. If you want to go all out then get a Livernois tuner-600$ (60 hp, 40 lb tq gain), steeda performance intercooler ($729) steeda front and rear sway bar combo + strut tower brace(700$), steeda lowering springs (300$)
      That's around 3000$ + 👍tires if needed. That's just the parts. If you're paying someone to install everything, it's ALOT of time$ added to 3k$. Always remember the car has to be balanced adding HP to a car requires building up the rest of the car.

      Tuned SHO is the Taurus he has in the garage, a stock SHO is in my driveway and still driveable. K&N's kind of suck too. Go look at the particle test between that and the other air filters and see how much shit that thing lets go inside your intake.

    • @fusionvic
      @fusionvic 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      With stock hardware, the SHO's 3.5 can flow about 48-53 lb/min of air, so that's putting you near 500 hp at the crank with an E30 tune. They will run low 12s with just a tune. The SHOs that ran 11s at the time I had one all had DR's for 1.7 60' times and water/meth.
