Poison first record came out in 1986 with “ Look what the cat dragged in” and this song was off their second record “ Open up and say ahh” in 1988 … so many great songs as they are known as the kings of party rock and glam rock ! Check out , “ I want action “, Fallen Angel” , Talk dirty to me “, Ride the wind”, Unskinny Bop”, Flesh and Blood “ , Something to Believe In” Every Rose has a thorn “ , I won’t forget you “, and so many more !
Off their second cd... So. 1987/8ish my boys still kill it live. I saw Bret live in 2019... Amazing. Loved them since they debuted in 1985. Lead singer is Bret Michaels, Lead guitar is CC Deville, Bass is Bobby Dahl (the only brunette) Drums were being slayed by Rikki Rockett. More music: Talk Dirty To Me, Your Mama Don't Dance, Fallen Angel, Something To Believe In, Unskinny Bop, Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Ride The Wind, Flesh And Blood (Sacrifice), I Want Action, I Won't Forget You. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Enjoy the journey
What I love the most about CC DeVille is his guitar collection. At one point he had one of the largest in the world, and so many of the non-generic looking ones you see in their videos and live performances he had a hand in designing.
Fallen Angel - poison. Another absolute banger of a song off the same album is nothing but a good time. Awesome reaction to this song and group they’re nothing but pure fun in energy!
Poison’s guitarist, CC DeVille, was referred to as “the worst guitarist in rock” by many, MANY critics (to the point that he started believing it himself). Personally, I’ve always enjoyed his performances thoroughly, both musically and showmanship, and consider him the highly underrated.
Sam Kinison’s Wild Thing video has every big 80’s hair band in this video. CC Deville played on location, but wasn’t there. Watch and you’ll see. If he’s not that good, why give him the guitar solo?
Hey Simply K. Simone! We are new here! We enjoyed your reaction! We have heard of this song before but did not know the group! Yea this has to be 80s. The clothing and hair tell it all lol. Love your personality! You are so fun and sweet! Loving this channel!
"Every Rose Has It's Thorns" "Something To Believe In","Talk Dirty To Me" "I Want Action" are good songs to give a listen too, then Simone you can go down "The Rabbit Hole".Album "Look What The Cat Drug In" is from 1986🎵👍
CC Deville on the guitar! Saw 'em live a few times! Every one was good! Some other bands to check out would be RATT, Guns N Roses, Firehouse, Faster Pussycat, Tesla, Skid Row, Slaughter, Whitesnake, Motley Crue, LA Guns, Winger, Bullet Boys, Candlebox, Brother Kane, and the list can go on and on and on.
This “hair metal” genre of rock music where the focus was on the fashion, makeup and hair along with gratuitous solos faded quickly when Nirvana released their album Nevermind in 91. Everything changed at that point.
This is the quintessential hair band. The glam and all lol. Saw them open for ratt on this tour. Pretty funny and yes it turned out to be a good time for sure 😊
I bought their debut album on cassette when it first came out and played the hell outta it. I was 13 and thought that one day I want to shred like C.C., not look like him, but shred like him. I took a lot of crap from my older brothers for listening to bands like Poison. My brothers called them “pansies” who could not compete with “tough” bands like Judas Priest (their favorite at the time). Well, I guess I got the last laugh! Anyways, I saw Poison in concert in 1990 and again a couple of years ago. C.C. shreds so much better now after becoming clean and I’d love for you to react to Life Goes On because that song shows what C.C. can really do. Funny to think that Slash auditioned for Poison but didn’t wanna join because of their insistence on Slash glamming it up. Slash was like, “F no Man,” and C.C. was like, “Hold my beer."
My type of music love the late 70's and 80's Glam/Hair Metal. Like alot of people in here are saying check there songs out they mentioned. Poison is one of my favorite bands of course am from Pennsylvania and so are they. Some other great Pa bands are Cinderella, Brittany Fox, Kix you should check these artist out also.
@@SimplyKSimone if you like the older rock music from the 80's check out the bands I mentioned you will not be disappointed.Plus Check out late 70's southern rock bands. Like Molly Hatchet, 38 Special, Blackfoot. And some Mello hard rock from the 70's like Styx, REO Speedwagon, Queen- (the best band).
Hi from the east coast of Canada was hoping you would react to VANNY VABIOLA cover of Diana Ross when you tell me you love me truly amazing her voice a gift from God ALSO she sings duet with her husband DECKY RYAN SOMEWHERE BETWEEN US it has a country vibe Hope these words find you well Rocko out
Poison took a lot of crap back in the day for being "glam/hair metal"... All style, no substance, but... WHO CARES ?!! ...So many FUN songs with hooks that grab ya !!! ...Try *"Talk* *Dirty* *To* *Me"* 👍🤟
CC Deville is terribly underrated as a guitarist. He was classically-trained.
Wow really ?? What is your favorite song
@@SimplyKSimone of Poison's? "Life goes on".
Slash interviewed for the band didn't fit the part
I don't think CC was classically trained on guitar... He studied some music theory at NYU, but did not complete his studies there.
Miss the 80's bangers 😂
80’s hair bands ruled that era. I’m 60 and will rock it to the grave!
Poison still gives good energy to this day, and puts on a good show...I've always loved CC's solo's...as has been said, criminally underrated!
Talk dirty too me
Unskinny bop
Something to believe in
Fallen angel
I won't forget you
Look what the cat dragged in

He was given that label by Guns n Roses because Slash auditioned for Poison and was passed over
Sam Kinison’s Wild Thing video has every big 80’s hair band in this video. CC Deville played on location, but wasn’t there. Watch and you’ll see. If he’s not that good, why give him the guitar solo?
I love your reaction true to this music
the 80's consist of the following years 78' - 93' and it was a rockin time

I'm 49 yes old. I grew up on 80's rock. Music was fun then. No politics. No whining. Just good time music.
True the best era to me

CC DeVille, I think he's underrated. How could he be a horrible guitarist if he appeared in Sam Kinison's cover of "Wild Thing".
Late 80s
CC Deville is the guitarits, amazing guitarist for sure.
Awesome thank you
1989.. good year!! 😎
From the truest Poison fan this side of Venus....Check out the track Tragically Unhip.
Awesome thanks
You always know 80s music by the hair LOL
