Years ago I did that at work one night, Poison wasnt there, but my co worker was, he was about to walk in. I knocked his coffee mug out of his hand, he gave me a look like Im about to end your f*cking life. luckily we were close friends.
I've seen Poison live eight times over the decades. Starting in the mid 90's they went on a string of tours almost every year bringing 2 or 3 other hair/glam bands with them. My brother and I went almost every year. Got to see a lot of bands that we hadn't been able to catch back in the 80's. An unlike many of the bands from that era, they still sound great. Bret Michaels has done an amazing job of staying in shape, so he doesn't get winded and have to have the crowd sing every other line (I'm talking to you Vince Neil). They still sound amazing.
80’s was all about big hair and Fluorescent colours… my hubby raced Enduros on a Kawasaki…. The bright colours on stage reminded me of his bikes. What a blast from the past… this song did well in Australia. I remember it getting quite a bit of air play on the radio.
CC could have been as big as Slash if only he could control his habit...a truly gifted guitarist who wasted his talent due to selfishness and addiction. These solo's are mind-blowing, in my opinion the world's biggest 'coulda been'. :(
@@randywissler9923 very true! I had heard that actually. Sadly CC goes off the rails every time they have a reunion gig or tour, even all these years later he just gives in to destructive habits, such a waste of talent. :(
Totally agree, if He wasn't so Alpha about every little thing and got his head in check he would have continued to make great music and grow into an even better musician. CC is a real Human story of snatching Defeat from the Jaws of victory.
One of my favorite bands growing up because of my older sister, so I grew up listening to them in the late 80’s when I was young since I was born in 85 and started consuming all kinds of music straight out of the womb
Poison was a quintessential fun time Rock band, lotta folks gave em crap fro the glam beginnings but this band was one of the big break out groups that brought in a whole new segment of fans and skyrocketed them to a level of fame a lot of 80's bands never saw. Warrant was another in this small circle of "Chick magnet bands" but also had fans from all corners. Great times and their 2nd album Open up and say Ahhh is and always will be a staple in my collection.
This came out hen I was fifteen, in MTV's hay day. We were spoiled with great music! I'll be fifty later this year and I wish we could have times like that again. Cheers from northeast Ohio.
CC had so many guitars! He perfected guitar potential I believe. He's such a fave! I remember the first song I ever hear called Cry Tough...it changed my life as I am still the ultimate fan!
One of my all-time favorites. This song sort of epitomizes the '80s, just having fun. It was great until depression took over in the '90s, err, I mean grunge.
Agreed! I live in LA during all of this, it was so fun. Then things swung the other way and we got a lot of dark, depressing music..grunge. Some of grunge is good stuff, but it was like having fun was looked down on, you had to be serious, sad to be 'real'. Total bummer.
I lived in LA during all of this, it was as fun as it looked. You could go out to clubs/bars and see rockers just hanging out..Gun n Roses, Steven Tyler, David Lee Roth & all these hair band guys. I say 'hair band' w/affection, those bands were full of excellent musicians & vocalists whether you liked the music or not.
Had the 45,and bought also Every Rose, featuring all the punctures/tattoo needles' piercings' on his arm holding the cigarette. And the rose. Enjoyable ballad.
Great song and great vibe. Just a fun song. Even though at the time, people were judged if you listened to Metal and then a friend found a Poison tape in your car. I've always liked them.
Open up and say ahh has nothing to do with soda, it's a reference to going to the doctor when they ask you to open your mouth and so they can do their checks. Well known phrase.
I remember when the band was talking about making this video, they said CC DeVille was being annoying and pissing everyone off so they talked him into going up into the scaffolding for some of his guitar parts and then pointed all the lights at him and then left to go to lunch
I saw them sometime during this tour, they were amazing! Please do more songs from them . And Please do more Tesla songs, “what you give” “modern day cowboy” “time to rock”!!!
Being a teen and young adult in the 80s was a great time not care in the world we all went parties every Friday and Saturday nights there was always a house party happening somewhere even if you didn't the host you went anyways and had blast. The girls with the big hair was the time of my life would go back in heart beat just for one night of fun.
I agree with @manna6618 they said he played the worst guitar solo of all time , but he was a monster shredder, and played really well it was the cocaine, and his addictions that went overboard is why he played bad at that performance their talking about look man no one’s perfect everyone’s gonna make a mistake here n there including c.c. Deville , he was one of the best shredder guitarist of the 80’s PERIOD.
Bret, Ricki, CeCe, and Bobby…. They were so much fun; unbelievably talented, but not overly serious about themselves, which made them freeing. Bret was all over my teenaged self’s walls.
A song anyone who's worked a day in their life can relate too. Poison has many great party songs but a lot of deeper ones to. IMO Brett Michael's is a great song writer who sings about life. Check out Life Loves A Tragedy, Somethin' To Believe In, Fallen Angel and Love On The Rocks just to name a few.
That video was played about once every 90 minutes on MTV for about 6 months when it first came out ! Poison is still rocking it hard today as the best Glam Metal Party band ever ! 😎 at least in the opinion of this old rocker… Rockharder86 👍🏻
Totally same! Seen Poison 24 times and Bret's band 2x. Saw them perform live (I was in the audience) on the Late, Late Show with Craig Kilbourn in 2002.
Another great video as always! If no one has mentioned it yet, guitarist CC Deville (the one with the biggest blonde hair), has a degree in music from Columbia University (I think). One of his professors told him he was wasting his talents playing rock and metal. From an interview with CC Deville: "I'd love to have the recognition and respect that bands like U2 and REM had back then. But also I dont think they were partying like us and doing coke off hookers' tits."
For somebody that grew up in that time is weird to see people liking their parents music I didn't like any of mine. I've seen them three times. Two times I remember getting in the car that's about it. I can't even remember the third time. I was told I had a lot of fun.
And the truth is nothing but a good time it's just a song you know I'm picking coil by being rude bret Michaels he's not like that and I'm telling you that now might want to be nice and not rude and he's a good person
Good times. Good times. For the most part, "hair metal" was all about good, fun rock n roll. It didn't have a message... other than "PARTY!" It was all about having fun. Then, somewhere along the line, a division to place. Half of the metal Fandom went one way, and half went the other. One half decided party rock was worthless garbage, and not worthy of the title "metal." They may have been right, to a degree. It was never really "metal," in the first place. It was basic rock n roll...more along the lines of Little Richard, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Beatles (early years,) Kiss, etc. That one half of fans came to despise hair bands, and pledged full allegiance to true HEAVY metal...Ozzy, Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, etc. Nothing wrong with that. But they quickly became "metal snobs." Then, Grunge came in and took advantage of the hatred of hair metal, and forced the glam phase out completely. Since the demise of Grunge, true, great rock n roll is just not as prevalent, in music, anymore. Great bands are hard to find. I love Wolf Hunterz, because it's all about the music, and you actually play your own instruments. It's not pre-recorded stuff. Keep it up! Bands like yours may just save metal!
They don't make videos like this anymore. the production value is off the charts. Spent a million $ making this. and it showed! Most of today's music is just gutless. Manufactured singing and playing. Rick Beato just came out and RIPPED the most recent top ten songs!
And no one is bones okay you're talking crap about my band's nothing at all and no they are not bad that's the truth about that don't be with your being rude and I don't like that
Was such a great time to be alive! The best decade of my life!
It sure was
When he kicked that door open, it blew my mind when I was a kid!
Years ago I did that at work one night, Poison wasnt there, but my co worker was, he was about to walk in. I knocked his coffee mug out of his hand, he gave me a look like Im about to end your f*cking life. luckily we were close friends.
Ahhh the happy times.....fun fun fun and fun were the 80s....not even the 90s were as much fun.....😢😊
I saw Poison live 3 times and they were awesome.
They really earned their spot as the kings of glam and hair metal
"Something to believe in" is a beautiful song you guys should listen to.
Poison. Such a great band.
Fun fact:
CC Deville is a classically-trained guitarist. Another great reaction.
The 80s was the best decade of my life...❤😊

Also: this is a reasonable representation of their live show back in the early 90s. SO entertaining
CC Deville (Lead Guitarist) had one of the sickest guitar collections out there.
You should hear the story Don Dokken told about CC's house and one of his guitars.
The 80s was the last greatest decade of real musicianship, where those boys could flat out play their instrument...
That pink gunslinger strat is at the top of my "I fucking want that guitar list"!
Great song. Great band.
the world needs more of this music, how can you NOT smile and dance :)
80’s was all about big hair and Fluorescent colours… my hubby raced Enduros on a Kawasaki…. The bright colours on stage reminded me of his bikes. What a blast from the past… this song did well in Australia. I remember it getting quite a bit of air play on the radio.

Yup totally agree. So talented.
Funny you mention that! Slash auditioned for Poison before they got CC. It actually came down to slash and CC before they went with CC.
@@randywissler9923 very true! I had heard that actually. Sadly CC goes off the rails every time they have a reunion gig or tour, even all these years later he just gives in to destructive habits, such a waste of talent. :(
CC was also considered for Stryper
Totally agree, if He wasn't so Alpha about every little thing and got his head in check he would have continued to make great music and grow into an even better musician. CC is a real Human story of snatching Defeat from the Jaws of victory.
One of my favorites! ❤️🔥
The 80s was all about neon colors big hair, parting, got to love it that s what I call badass love this band keep rocking
I loved growing up in the 80's. C.C. Deville played nothing but B.C. Rich guitars.
Poison quite simply was larger than life.
These guys went 110% every night, and yeah their stage shows were really this insane.
One of my favorite bands growing up because of my older sister, so I grew up listening to them in the late 80’s when I was young since I was born in 85 and started consuming all kinds of music straight out of the womb

He probably doesn't have them all anymore but Metal Edge or Circus did a spread on his collection back then and it was nuts like 80 guitars lol .
Them G....you did it again!!! Excellent choice and reaction!!🎶🎼🎵🎸🎹🥁🎤🎙🎧🤘🤘🤘
Oh wow! My first concert ever was Poison and Tesla on February 22, 1988. Got to see them again in 2000 with Dokken Cinderella and Slaughter 🎵🎶💜
One of my all-time favorites. This song sort of epitomizes the '80s, just having fun. It was great until depression took over in the '90s, err, I mean grunge.

Glad to see people doing some Poison video's, they were great in the mid 80's into the 90's.

Wore out this cassette ❤️🤘
You guys are just so much fun…. I love your attitude and the joy you take in all the music!
🤘❤🤘 Fun reactions! We seen Poison live four times. 1986, 1988, 1990 and 2022. They still sound as good as ever and have such great energy on stage.
Nice. I am now at 24 for Poison and 2 for Bret's band. I will be a fan forever...
@@poisonlady1965 😎 NICE!!!
Had the 45,and bought also Every Rose, featuring all the punctures/tattoo needles' piercings' on his arm holding the cigarette. And the rose. Enjoyable ballad.
Rock 'n roll all night by Kiss in the beginning
Love this one. We do this one live every time we play a gig.
Yeah CC is one of the best , even Slash of Guns N Roses says that , all the gituars are CC s personal collection !
Susie cracked me up with that garrh noise she did when the boss re enters the kitchen at the end.
We all need to give THEM G a thumbs up . He always requests awesome videos!!
Thumbs up!

80's baby can't be beat just awesome
Fun times are long gone. Sad.
Love 80’a metal hit this time hard it’s wicked awesome
I remember when the band was talking about making this video, they said CC DeVille was being annoying and pissing everyone off so they talked him into going up into the scaffolding for some of his guitar parts and then pointed all the lights at him and then left to go to lunch
Ahh memories. ❤
Great reaction thanks 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
They put on a great show also 🎉
Kickass line up tonight guys. Enjoyed them all as usual.

"...Personally, I prefer the highs..."
Life loves a tragedy- best Poison song ever.

Awesome concert 🤘😆🤘👍😎🤘
Bret, Ricki, CeCe, and Bobby…. They were so much fun; unbelievably talented, but not overly serious about themselves, which made them freeing. Bret was all over my teenaged self’s walls.

Ah, my high school days. 😂
Back in the day you had to have stamina to keep up with the music and you had to hear it more than once to keep up.
CC Divil is just Great ! And kind of under rated. Just
Bop Diddy Bop.another position song
That video was played about once every 90 minutes on MTV for about 6 months when it first came out ! Poison is still rocking it hard today as the best Glam Metal Party band ever ! 😎 at least in the opinion of this old rocker… Rockharder86 👍🏻

Bret wanted Slash but Ricky and Bobby wanted CC. The rest is history.

React to the entire album of "Look What The Cat Dragged In". It's a classic hair band album.
4:32 why do I get the feeling she was talking about something else...👀
Please do some Ghost. Faith live from a Pale Tour named Death. Spillways of their recent album Impera. They're coming back to the States this summer
The 80's Ruled
For somebody that grew up in that time is weird to see people liking their parents music I didn't like any of mine. I've seen them three times. Two times I remember getting in the car that's about it. I can't even remember the third time. I was told I had a lot of fun.
Back when music was fun, crazy and and no one gave a flying rats ass!🤘

Excuse me but the 70's is the greatest Era of rock
No one gave a shit about the 70's rock till later years.
The only hair band I could tolerate
how LONG does it take for a reaction?
if you want to see a band with a ton of guitars you should check out Cheap Trick
Be honest with you it's regular like that's the truth about that lights No One not even nobody
CC always gets overlooked as a laughable guitarist but dude can seriously rip! WAYY BETTER than he gets credit for!
They are hair band
Please don't tell me this was 30 odd years ago
And the truth is nothing but a good time it's just a song you know I'm picking coil by being rude bret Michaels he's not like that and I'm telling you that now might want to be nice and not rude and he's a good person
Will you react to Hellyeah -Moth Please! I think that song is so underrated.

SLASH from G n Roses auditioned for Poison but fate had it that he just didn't fit in - glad he didn't.
Try gwar salaminizer , sick of you or road behind
This is the band that ruined the greatest generation of music. And I'm friends with one of the members. And he even admits it.
Lol
Don't be rude
And no one is bones okay you're talking crap about my band's nothing at all and no they are not bad that's the truth about that don't be with your being rude and I don't like that
What happened to music like this? Nothing but garbage being put out anymore
