Poison was one of the biggest bands of the 80s then suddenly after the grunge rock movement of the early 90s it became very popular to hate on them. I never understood why they were called a "chic band" and lots of other crap. but they were always one of my favs and i still rock to them. ride the wind is prolly my fav song of theirs but they have lots of bangers
Poison were always fun to see live. Good vibes and always entertaining. Met the singer Bret Michaels on one of his solo tours and he's a really nice down to earth guy that appreciates his fans.

Fallen Angel is one of their classics.
I was in high school when this song came out, and actually working in a restaurant as a dishwasher! This sing came on the radio in the kitchen, and the cooks would crank the radio WAY up. Lemme tell ya, dancing while washing dishes ain't easy, but I managed it!!
Yep Thats Poison i saw them live in Brisbane , Australia in 1989 , one of the best shows ever ! CC Devill also one of the most underrated guitar players ever ! And his hair is still big ! Lol
Saw these guys live a few times over three decades. they never disappoint. They are really fun and sound great. CC the guitarist is one of my favorite guitar players.. i highly recommend you all do more Poison

2) The lead singer Bret Michaels is a diabetic and actually went into a diabetic shock on stage in the middle of one of their shows

5) My best friend and I use to go to the 24hour grocery store at night and read magazines and I was reading a Metal Edge magazine about bands and there was an article
about Poison and the drummer Rikki Rocket mentioned his aunt owned a flea market with this other lady. My grandmother passed away so we go to her funeral in New York and
my family and I were talking and turns out the other lady was my aunt. My grandmother is buried in Sayreville New Jersey Jon Bon Jovi's hometown

Faster Pussycat is a guilty pleasure. Babylon and House of Pain to add to your two. That said, they aren't a top of the line rock band. Not saying they aren't good and not saying I didn't buy their album and listen to it a lot, which I did. Jackyl is a band that maybe they should try out. As far as Lita Ford, that was the last concert I went too. She came to a little open field venue with Warrant head lining and I liked her set better than Warrant's. Only cost $20 and the "chairs" were bales of hay. Was really good.
Faster Pussycat to me was on the same level as Junkyard. I looooved Junkyard. Blooze, Hollywood, Simple Man, etc...

The guitar player is C.C. DeVille great player but was in his drug era at that time. When you see him on top of the light rigging they got the shot they needed and because he was being a jerk at the time they said they needed to reset and just went to lunch and left him up there with lights covering the fact they left.

Poison was such an underrated hair band of the 80s. Your middle generation should know this! There are so many great songs by Poison: Unskinny Bop, Talk Dirty to Me, Look What The Cat Dragged In, Every Rose has Its Thorn, Fallen Angel.

There's those 3 cute women again doing great reactions. Lulu cracks me up! She's just priceless. At the beginning with the one word hesitations. Lol. I had mentioned to you before that I was a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician and vocalist who played in 80's and 90's rock bands, and yes, this is how it looked when you went to concerts. Show's were definitely put on like this. And you all were talking about the hair. Yeah, we would fight over the mirrors in the dressing rooms getting ready for live shows. Hay Lulu, here's your answer to how we did our hair. It was a hair spray called Aqua net, and sometimes a little bit of hair gel added. But the gal was mostly when you would take photos for albums or posters. The smell of aqua net hair spray was everywhere, fogging up the rooms. But it was all in fun. Lol Man! This was a great era for music and to go watch rock concerts, and an awesome time if you were in a rock band. Another great! reactions ladies! 😊❤❤❤

One of my favorite poison songs
The singer, Brett Michaels, is a very nice guy. He does quite a bit of charity work and is a very down to earth person. I think he still may tour on his own doing Poison songs.
Thats the expierience i had when i met him. Really nice down to earth guy. I met him in a small club in Springfield Va when he was doing a solo tour. He played the small club cause his lead guitar player was from that area. He's very appreciative of his fans.
@@rogerdaly6326 Thats a great story. I said the things I did because a good friend of mine told me something similar. Brett was alone in a bar during the day having a couple sodas. My friend approached him and asked what he was doing in town. Brett invited him to sit and talk with him for a while. He said they talked for about an hour, but my friend didnt want to become an annoyance, so he thanked Brett for the chat and left. It turned out he was doing some charity work for diabetes.
Saw him a few years back as the middle link between two other bands. The other bands were merely ok, but Bret put on a great show, interacting with the audience and all. He was the highlight of the evening for sure.

Poison kept Aquanet and cover girl on business back in their day. I was like 15 when they came out with Talk dirty to me. Saw them and Bret many times fun live performances.
Heeyyy Kathy!! Looking pretty as always! Anyway.. yeah, Poison. A very underrated band at the time. Guitarist CC Deville (huge blonde hair, even brighter colored guitars!) has a degree in music from Columbia University or somewhere, an Ivy League school. One of his professors told him he was wasting his talents playing rock and roll. LOL! BTW, that hot pink, Japanese built, Jackson DK2 (i think) is a holy grail in the guitar circles. You see a great shot of it at 4:51 And you know CC's is the real deal, not a re-issue. Very cool!!

Since you like this so much check out Steel Panther! It's a current band that embodies EVERYTHING in this video. They are more comedic, but are amazing musicians. Their shows are so big, tons of musicians and celebrities get on stage with them to perform during their concerts.

I suggest their song every rose has it's thorns. I wasn't a big Poison fan but loved this and the aforementioned song. They were a great live band though C.C. Deville was the guitarist with the big hair and was actually a damn good guitarist..
