Brilliant layout. Have a caddy maxi life basic overnight sleeping accommodation and diesel heater. Wou definitely be interested in the possibility of slot in prefab units. Keep up the good work

The sink and cooker are not needed when the bed is out so should fold away. 5 Priorities when camping. 1 Headroom inside for standing during prolonged bad weather. 2 Really spacious comfy bed, 3 Heater. 4 Maximum storage space, 5 Fridge. Also table and seating and an awning. Also space for a Porta Potty without compromising a full width bed. Also total blackout on windows at night so lights/moon/sunrise do not disturb sleep. And double glazed windows or very tight fitting insulating blinds all round.
It's hard to imagine two adults comfortably sleeping in this. I'd rather have full width bed with sink in front where the bench is. Won't sit four but I don't think it fits four very well anyway.
I'd say a dose of reality is needed in conversions.. a maxi is a camper for 1, maybe 2 people (at a push). making a case for 4 people is a bit silly - get a motorhome or even a transporter at a minimum for that. Some of the ideas are good though, situation dependant. (FYI - Audio was a struggle in this video)

A Motorhome or transporter of the same quality would be a lot more money, more mpg, a Motorhome couldn’t be used as a daily driver. But yes, there are pros & cons for everything 👍🏻
I actually thought this was one of the best conversions that i have seen for a small campervan. I really think that if you need to use a car during the day for work, etc, then hop off to the country for the weekend. This is the car to do it, plus you can still carry passengers. Agree it's smaller than a VW camper, but it will be easier to drive down smaller roads in Scotland like the Route 500. Well done, guys . i'd love to buy the kit if you ever get around to selling it.
Just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it's "silly". I downsized from a ducato to a caddy and I love it. I lived in mine for 5 months last year with 2 dogs so it's possible - though obviously not for everyone!
This is definitely the best camper conversion I have seen in a caddy.
So impressed with this! Definitely think you should make the side unit into a kit. In the middle of a conversion and had exactly this layout in mind!

Says you don’t need a fixed sink, but then takes up lots of surface space with a cutout for a removable one 🤷♂️
