I still can’t believe this happened! This was a difficult video to film, because there was so much to take in. It’s one of those experiences that you don’t forget driving the 430 Scuderia 🇮🇹
Well, it’s great you were able to achieve this, especially after the battles you have had - this channel is really taking off and you will soon get your TH-cam plaque.
You are hands down the best car reviewer on TH-cam! I love the open and honest approach you take, and you cover all the stuff others overlook! I thought the last Ferrari you drove was amazing, this is even better lol! I do prefer the red of the last to this yellow though! Nice work with some of the camera angles, especially the one focussed on the wheel lights and slightly upwards, boy did I feel like a nervous passenger lol
Mad how you only just drove your first Ferrari and now you’re driving one of the best ever made, congrats man 🤌🏼🤌🏼 also I can see that tunnel being a bit of a standard feature on your review videos 🤣
You know Ferrari really doesn’t do anything for me unless it’s a Testarossa or older. I normally skip Ferrari content, but it being Joel delivering the info I knew I’d want to watch it! … Didn’t disappoint
@@itsjoel Your delivery is so good. Your enthusiasm and love of cars of all types and values is refreshing. Some car TH-camrs start like that and then over the years they lose touch with why they started a channel in the first place. Keep doing what you do. You clearly love it and so does everyone watching.
I think single clutch F1 is quite good in this car.... brutal and gives great sense of theatre. Newer models are quite a bit faster, but they feel too polished to me and the speed is useless on the road. This is peak Ferrari..
I agree. Each lightweight V8 model after this became faster and faster where the focus is pure speed, whereas this is more about the drama. The CS even more so than this, but when driving the Scud you can’t believe they put number plates on them and sold them as road cars. I don’t have that feeling about the others.
Great video. I’m thinking of getting an F430. I think if I get one with carbon brakes and an aftermarket Ti exhaust and Ti lug nuts and scud wheels that would shave off 100 lbs or so. And an exhaust and no cats would up the HP 10-20hp. Would be a scud lite and more livable. And then what would make this package better than a real Scud. When I do a manual conversion. This is better in everyday life than a scud. I said it. Ps I think maybe your experience in the 360 was also not a direct comparison due to the 360 being a spyder. Much looser most likely.
Great review Joel thank you. I’d say one of the few downsides of owning this car is that it’s too loud for pretty much every track day in the UK. And that’s where it is the most at home and at its most rewarding.
Those are really great looking wheels, I like them. The Ferrari looks great too, much better than the 360. (Stripes fit perfectly) The 360 is also a technological disaster with the horrible "F1" gearbox and many other issues (including the fuel system which drips on the engine after it breaks and burns down).
Unlike the 360 Challenge Stradale and 458 Speciale, 430 Scuderia has yet to appreciate _that_ much from its early value. Kinda weird, really, because I think 430 Scuderia is the perfect balance between the old-school and modern high-tech lightweight Ferraris.
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the kislux as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
Stumbled upon this review looking for new scud content. Fantastic review, amongst the best I’ve seen. Great editing, camerawork. No stupid techno soundtrack, you let the engine do the work. I hope JayEmm lets you review his F12, would love to get your take on it.
I owned a TDF Blue CS from 2012 - 2016 and owned a Black 430 Scuderia in 2022. The gearbox on both are painfully old and slow. I would prefer a manual gearbox or a dual clutch. A decent F12 with that lovely V12 engine is much better than both of these V8 modern classics.
Hey Joel I see you had the Audi TT up for sale on Autotrader, just wondering if you managed to sell it or if you still have it? If you still have it would you take a serious offer???
The Scud is dramatic in short bursts BUT too much for touring & no manual. I have a f430 manual with carbon bucket seats…rarer than a Scud, more involving, perfect for UK roads . Peak analogue Ferrari.
Stereo isn't balanced, it's an f-430 who cares? It's like people who complain about KTM, they provide a service and a motorcycle that compares to no other. But I appreciate your reviews.
@@itsjoel right on and that's a fair review. But the average person isn't even going to use the stereo. We grew up with Forza and the dream of a 430 in the Japanese countryside.
@@PointNemo9 because the channel used to be interesting, a person with no experience buying affordable cars and learning mechanics. Recently it’s become a review channel of cars which are loaned and of no interest. Audi, Volvo and Porsche fine but I’ve got no interest whatsoever in Ferrari and other top end car reviews. Top Gear and The Grand Tour soon realised there was no interest in this subject, what people wanted to see was fastest laps and road trips with amusing content. Why would I be interested in a review of a car I’ll never buy or drive under any circumstances. It’s the direction Joel has chosen to go in and I wish him well. Other people may well be interested in the content however I am not and for that reason I no longer want to watch his videos. Crazy to see your channel growth! It's been a while, but I first watched back in 2018 when I had an E85 for a few months while waiting for my M140i!
A worthy successor to the 360 ❤ Loving the video so far Joel!
