Fun fact: This car ran an almost equal time around the Ferrari test track as the Ferrari Enzo. A car with over 150 more horsepower. That's really a testament to just how well the 430 Scuderia handles.
This is wrong. Tire industry is moving crazy fast, Enzo was developed in the late 90s, with tires that were already mediocre by 2009 standards. Put both cars on equal compound and we'll see. My money is on the Enzo.
Drove often the Scuderia and was a couple of times passenger in the Enzo. The Scuderia has beyond the weight two big advantages: the gearbox felt almost slow in the Enzo (around 150ms against 60ms) and the Enzo had Bridgestone tyres what weren't that grippy. But the V12 sound though...

2:57 making the windows out of Lexane (or Makrolon in this case, which is essentially Lexane with a scratch resistant coating) is actually considerably cheaper than making them from glass, but there are a whole bunch of other reasons why they are only used in race cars or road cars that want to be race cars. It's lighter and cheaper, but it also scratches much more easily (even with the coating), it fogs up incredibly quickly and it has terrible noise and heat insulation. The pane itself is also very flexible, making it impossible to have roll-down windows made from Lexane since the window would pop out of the weather stripping if it's rolled down partially or might jam inside the door if it's rolled down all the way.
