I've been working in the area for just over 15 years, and I've had the opportunity to drive both cars several times. I love the Superleggera, but even a normal 430 is better in every way and more fun. The Scuderia is on another level!

I love the raw, visceral feel in a car, so I would probably want the lambo. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to buy either one. Thank you for sharing, Dan.
A cool thing that people may have forgotten about is on Top Gear, Jeremy actually drove a factory gated manual 1st gen Superleggera as part of finding the perfect driving road in Europe (Richard was in a GT3RS manual, and James was in an Aston Martin race car), and it looked similar to the one in this video although with the small wing (which I also think is less common, even the exact car he drove doesn't have it anymore and got swapped to the big wing).

Which Lamborghini model are you referring to? The Murciélago (Pre-LP640, LP640 Manuals, and SV), Aventador SV/SVJ, Huracán Performante, and the classic Countach and even later model Diablo 6.0 all disagree. The models are holding value very well and over MSRP. These aren't event the one off Lambo models like a Veneno.
I love you and try my best to support your channel. At 58 though, the dark tint would make me unable to drive these at night. I really, really, really want either a 911 convertible or some convertible.

Scud owner in the UK here. I couldn’t live with that gearbox in the Lambo. The SF2 box is sublime and I never understand why people do a manual conversion. It makes the car what it is.
good vid, i have owned both, still have the SL, very different cars, lambo much easier to live with than the scud, especially on a long drive, did a 2wd conv on SL and improves in massively, scud grearbox is still much better and the soft button for suspension is brillant, especially compared to a standard 430
It's simply because of that gearbox in the Scud, its value is 2x that of the Mk1 Superleggera. The difference in values between the Superleggera and Scuderia definitely reflects in their drive and also Audi parts doesn't help the Superleggera's case.
Cant compare a Scud to an F8. Well, you can, but totally different driving experiences and value potential. In 10 years the Scud will be worth 3 x the F8 at least.
Owned a gallardo superleggera new. Its a very nice raw supercar. Near perfect car for what it is. Its nonsense to pay 2x to drive a scud. Both cars deliver great drive experience.

The choice is subjective but it cannot be said one is better than the other. Owned plenty of ferraris and no doubt they are great cars. 10 years from now people will crave the brute rawness of the superleggera.

Scud is dynamically way better than lambo during this golden Ferrari Schmaucher era, but the lambo has its charm with the sound looks and brute power. Ironically lambo today is the better brand and being more purist, staying with big NA engines and staying true to the DNA while Ferrari is just clueless running hybrids and suvs and front engines etc. it’s feeding off its fantastic old cars but the new crap is diluting the brand slowly, best they can hope for is another f1 championship soon to claim they still got it. that’s why old lambo values are on the rise quick. I love everything about the super G, however just like murcies, the upkeep on the super G is much higher than the 430 platform (scarce parts, have a number of expensive issues like AC and engine esp on the pre lp)so that’s def a factor …while murcies have doubled and tripled the gallardo have been lagging for some reason.. but scud super G and 997 gt3rs are def a trio of future classics of that golden era of last of analogue cars
@@ricsu3462 Your take on modern cars is just clueless! All cars in Lambo's lineup is a hybrid now and Ferrari still offers a NA V12 free from hybrid components. Lambo is still a brand for posers, not for drivers, which is why you see Lambo owners revving their cars in the middle of a public road. Also more than 50% of total Lambo sales is from their SUV and the Pista is a much better driver's car than any Huracan.
Beautiful cars, if money was no object it would be the Scud, although manual conversion to the Gallardo would be fun too. Prices of both are still stupid in Canada? 😢
I’m taking a Superleggera every time, the price delta is just too much between it and the Scud. If they were closer in pricing, maybe say 3-40K more than the Lamborghini I’d take the Scud as I prefer everything about it, it’s a better package for the type of driving I like to do and looks better in my opinion. Both will be highly sought after collector cars 20 years from now though i expect the difference in pricing to be even more extreme then.
I'd have to choose the Ferrari over the Lamborghini. As much as I admire the Lambo, for me, the Ferrari just provides all the compromises I'd want in a sports GT. I like the more refined styling and I'd prefer the ability to take long road trips. I'd probably never take it to the track. So the softer demeanor of the Ferrari would be more for me. I'd still prefer a manual over the single clutch auto...My TR6060 is just too terrific to give up....
Superleggera is very cool car but Squadra Corse is much cooler and more rare only 50 ever made but Scud has my heart it’s way better looking, cooler, nicer and sounds way better than Superleggera or Squadra Corse … I have a 430 now, I manual swapped it last year and it’s up for sale here in New Jersey It’s at the dealership called Jonathan motorcars on consignment and once it’s sold I’m gone be looking for Scuderia and the day I purchase it it’s going to a reputable shop at Cosmo’s he does awesome work Rob from Super speeders used him a lot in the past and 1st 3 things he’s gone do for me is manual swap it, tune it and the exhaust to wake up that beautiful sounding Italian V8 and that’s it rest of the car is staying stock I might do some suspension upgrades
I did hear the Gallardo is one of the hardest cars to drive. Horrible rotation and visibility and very harsh. But wow its a a work of art. Ferrari 430 looks prey bland and not worth it.
Don’t believe everything you “hear”. Only draw conclusions based on what you’ve experienced. My first Lambo experience was a pre-owned ‘06 Gallardo and it was utterly resplendent. So much so that it inspired me to later move into a Huracan 580, and ultimately a Tecnica.

I test drove one at my Porsche dealership in AC, liked the Lamborghini for the price and looks, didn’t like the attention it got while driving, you really have to take into consideration where you live, just saying, times are different in different places….. but what do I know, I sell hotdogs for a living and prefer my Porsche C4S That nobody looks twice at 😂! Lamborghini has too many editions; Superleggera, Supervolce, Super Torfeo,Performonte, Balboni, ect. Great tactic for new sales, but dilutes them over time. Ferrari does a better job with a simpler, clearer history of the performance editions. The V10 Lambo line is also diluted heavily by the R8 even today.
Ferrari hold better value because of their demographic buyer. Ferrari older buyers and more to look at than to drive them, Lamborghini buyer are younger and actually drive the cars which obviously devalues the car. That’s what you can see looking from the outside, you have a better chance at seeing a Huracan/Aventador/SVJ etcetera than any Ferrari.
Which Ferrari models compared to which Lambo models? By that logic a Ferrari California holds better value than a Lambo Veneno lol. Which models are you comparing to? Entry Level Ferraris? Mid Tier or Hypercar level?

Scud looks like it shifts real quick and nice. The LP gallardo will shift much closer, especially with a tcu tune on an LP.
Yes the LP super g does shift faster and another than the 08, but to be fair these are made in the same year.
