For what its worth, i like that valve actually explained their design decisions. Between that, the unlocked bootloader, the improvements to repairability and their countless contributions to free open source software, they show a lot of good faith in their customer base as a whole.
@@TianLong72k i bought three weeks ago, super happy with it. There is a lot of games I havent played due to playing only competitively. So currently playing DS3 45fps/90hz super smooth, played a bit of elden ring which ran and looked great at 30fps at giant mountains tops. Blasphemous 1, hades, dredge, dave the diver, had a blast on remnant 1 and there is still a lot of games I yet to try from my library😅
If you play video games PERIOD you need a steam deck. The thing is unironically the best video game console ever made. It can play PC games, PlayStation games, Xbox Games, and Nintendo games. It has by far the largest catalog of games.
@@matthewsansom5180I read somewhere that you can’t play the newest COD games multiplayer because of anti cheat software. Are you able to play the campaign mode or is that not compatible either on the steam deck oled?
Best handheld console i ever bought. Very versatile. You can have an emulator with it with emudeck. Also, despite you can play modern games on this device, i bought this console, especially for playing 2d and strategy and retro games 😃

Is a Steam Deck recommended for someone who never owned and doesn’t own a gaming pc?

Why
Really out of focus
Those trackpads are just a waste of space. Its like shoved into your face, who would use that stuff while gaming.
I think its used as a mouse pad for when you want to use it as a pc
@dipdopity That and I've seen people use them as ways to aim in FPS titles. They're pretty cool with the right use case.
Really useful for games that don't support controllers or for when you're in desktop mode.
Useful for strategy games
