Not much of a competition anymore. In my opinion. Buy the one you want more now and then get the other when it’s on sale or on facebook marketplace. People often sell great condition consoles for cheap when they upgrade to a pc or something and realize it’s just sitting around.

I had both. Loved both. But xbox is just played more. Idk why. Alot of xbox games are just NOTT on ps5. Rather get a pc. But fr the xbox is amazing

I prefer XBox because of Game Pass not only for the AAA games that come out on day one but more for the INDIE games that i can try for 'free'

If your into the past games and want more access to them, than get Xbox GamePass on Xbox Series S or X. But if you want great games with more games being released of new titles, get a PS5. Lets see here. Xbox no exclusive games anymore. PS5 tons of exclusive games, although some of them have gone to PC after 2 years on the PS5 already. To me Xbox has a way better feeling controller. But PlayStation has the better exclusive games like the God of War series, The Last of Us games, Killzone, Uncharted series, Gran Turismo games, Ratchet & Clank games, so many good games! So even though Xbox has more access to games of the past and a better controller, PlayStation remains better because it has access to more new games. Every year new games come to PS5. Xbox doesn't have exclusives anymore, maybe a year and than boop, it goes to PS5. Microsoft's decision to release games multi platform now was a bad idea. It means less sales for the Xbox consoles because people will of course go why buy Xbox when the same games will release on PS5? Exactly. No point of buying an Xbox when all current past year and future games and maybe more of the past will all come to PlayStation consoles, well why buy an Xbox at all then? Exactly, no point to buy an Xbox anymore.

Now this is just ME, but the PS5 has two exclusives in its entire lifecycle that were musts for me, Demon’s Souls and Silent Hill 2. Xbox on the other hand has given me many day 1’s on the XSX and still has quite a few on the horizon. Yeah a lot of them are going to PS, but I get them day and date on GP as opposed to spending $70 a pop for them on PS. So it’s easy to stick with Xbox if I had to choose one… but again, that’s just me.

Microsoft doesnt care. If they did, they would at least make a controller that you can replace the parts in with simple pop out, pop new part in. I had a PS5 & the exclusive variety is very slim, but the PS4 library is alot bigger. Why I decided to go with the PS4 slim because of the cheap price & variety of games. Im just a casual gamer not looking to drop serious money on.

Bro the series s is the same cpu but a little bit underclocked, and the gpu is the same when you play at 1080p. So if you are playing at 1080p you have the same console.

Its all about the games do you want god of war,uncharted and gt7 or forza,gears of war or halo for me its all about game pass.Sony gamers have to pay full price for games $70 and xbox with game pass ultimate for $20 you get day 1 games and cloud gaming. Playstation is an expensive place to play games while xbox with the series s and game pass is the best deal in gaming........so you decide.
