I am asking for prayers of comfort during this Easter season. My Dad, who was a priest, passed away six weeks ago - on Ash Wednesday. I can't imagine not being able to call him first thing in the morning on Sunday and say, "He is risen!" I rejoice that he is with the Father, but he is so missed.
I said a prayer that God would give you His comfort and joy. Praise be to God for His assurance that we will be reunited with our loved ones in heaven!
Praying for God’s perfect peace that passes understanding and His comfort to encircle you and that you will feel His tangible Presence this Resurrection Sunday. I also pray that you feel your earthly father’s arms around you to bring you comfort. In Jesus precious Name, I pray. Amen.

Easter was always traditionally our family portrait day. At church, each family KNOWS they will have a photo taken. It's like having the paparazzi there with so many cameras going off. We have pictures of families from black and white film days. We can do a photo line of families for at least 3 generations...

We just moved 6 hrs from family right before Christmas. My husband is a chaplain at a prison. He is working 12 hours on easter, so the kids and I are on our own. I'm hoping to make it sweet and lovely still. We usually get together with our big family, but it will be different. Thanks for the video!
We had a fantastic Easter had a shared brekki at beginning of church on Sunday lots attended then after we went to another church building and sat played games and lunch with the vicars family and Monday we're all off for a week at springharvest together with a few other family's from our church gonna be great ❤
Wow Diana great job. I had never linked Jesus' cry to God with the fact that He was experiencing sin for the first time.. ALL of our sins. How overwhelming and powerful. And to feel separated from God, due to that sin, just as we would be had our Savior not stepped up. Just when I thought I couldn't feel more overwhelmed with the beauty of the cross I fall in love so much more.
I made the Easter basket Bundt cake today with the help of my two nieces 9 &15 yrs old at our gathering at my home . We had so much fun. It didn’t turn out as pretty as dawns but we had a blast with each one of us decorating a certain part❤

Being a Christian for over 10 years now, I’m finally celebrating Easter this year with more intentionality of his resurrection and the celebration of Jesus overcoming death for our sake. Having toddlers does that to me where I am teaching them the story of Easter and my heart now understands this better. For some reason I never realized how much more sacred this is than Christmas for a Christian.
I love to buy things on sale for the next year for kids and usually forget what I bought, so I have a dresser in a spare room where I put a pile for each child in the drawers for quick and easy glances.

I made my rocks this year I got the recipe from Pinterest , Dawn’s kids would have fun with them.👍I made the cake last year, it turned out so yummy and I used a waffle pizzelle (2 they are very thin) dipped in chocolate, for the stone rolled away, and colored coconut (green) for the grass. I didn’t realise that you had so many Easter activities in the US. In the UK it’s traditional to have hot cross buns for breakfast, dinner (lunch) or tea on Good Friday. We also usually have fish on Good Friday, even if it’s just fish fingers. There’s a huge choice of chocolate Easter eggs here, which are usually eaten on Easter Sunday. Good Friday & Easter Monday are bank holidays. In my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, we concentrate more on the atonement than the cross, tho obviously the cross is very important. The thing that really gets to me is that the Saviour had the power to come down from the cross if he’d wanted to but didn’t. I also know that it must’ve been really hard for Heavenly Father to watch him go through this pain. Happy Easter to you & your family & your TH-cam fans. Have a lovely time. x
Great video and I never knew about the Psalm 22 reference. We minimize the Candy and eggs but do just enough to satisfy the kids. Church and a photo in front of the cross at church. But we have no more littles. Some of the past photo sessions involved tears! One thing we (meaning friends and family who believe) text each other on Easter morning “He’s Alive”. And the recipient responds “He is indeed”. I always listen to Dolly Parton sing He’s Alive throughout the weekend.
There much fun and depth to this video but must admit I so enjoyed and am relieved to know a 40 year doesn’t remember what holiday decorations that were bought the year before! The death of our Savior on the cross is very hard to wrap my head around. For all of us…for billions of people, for me etc…

Your mom is really cute! 😍 I just remembered the chocolate game (your kids are maybe a bit too young for that yet. We played it with 5y or so). We usually played it on birthdays. Okay, you wrap a chocolate bar in newspaper. Then you need a fork, a butter knife, gloves, a hat, a scarf and a dice. So every kid rolls the dice and the one that has a 6 puts on the hat, the gloves and the scarf and starts to unwrap the chocolate with the fork and the knife. The others keep rolling the dice. When someone else has a 6 he has to take on the gloves etc. Yeah I saw the sandwich 😍 and got hungry😄. I'm gonna heat up my dinner now😉😃. Happy Easter! using the story of your daughter is a great example, diana. a lesson on object permanence. this was "discovered" by a child development psychologist, jean piaget. i think that's a great lesson considering we call ourselves children of god. hes always there. and you dont have to see him. im sure your children are providing you so many opportunities to see things with a fresh view. im glad youre here on yt.
Our family has a tradition of coloring hard boiled eggs together on Easter .Adults and children color with crayons, markers, dye, stickers, glitter, the spinning machine thinger…. Whatever we’re into that year! When the grandkids kids were littler we then hid them outside and had an egg hunt. We have a new small (16 months old) to teach how to hunt eggs this year. Looking forward to the beautiful Easter Day forecasted in Iowa!

Always love your videos Diana! Happy belated Easter! The wonderful things is, Christ and God the Father are two separate beings. So it's not confusing at all when Christ said, why hast thou forsaken me. He is talking to His Father. Or when Christ was baptized and He heard the Father's voice from heaven, this is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased. Or when Christ says I do nothing except what my Father does. Christ is not his own Father. Beautifully simple. Like how Christ says in the New Treatment he is in us... We aren't Christ, or a different version of Him. The same applies when we read scriptures that God is in Christ. They work together, but are separate beings, and we work with Christ and God. And with the Holy Ghost, They three work in unity for the salvation of our souls.
Good Morning ❤ I loved seeing your mom, she is so amazing ❤️What we do during this Easter season is tonight we will go to church and we do the Passover dinner as a whole congregation. Then since my mom has passed away my dad, brother and my family do a BBQ lunch at my home which has been fun because it’s so different and we’ve created new memories. New this year during the fasting season I’ve done 2 water fasts. So just water for 3 days. After finishing my first fast my dad accepted Christ in his life the next Sunday ❤️❤️❤️tonight I finish my second and I’m so excited for my next testimony. Have a great Easter with your family. ❤️

He had to leave the earth through laying down that body and ascending again to the spiritual realm. Hi Julie, we may disagree on this, but I am sharing that you need to repent and choose to make Jesus your Lord through several passages, including this one: Romans 10:9-10 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” I do agree that baptism is also essential (Acts 2:38).
❤️✝️ Gods command for us to be baptized (being immersed in water) representing the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus is how we come in contact with the saving blood of Jesus and are raised to walk in newness of life. 1Peter 3:21, Acts 2:16, Romans 6:4 ❤
Just to clarify, our repentance represents Jesus’ death, baptism represents his burial and being filled with the Holy Ghost represents his resurrection.
@@MrsApril-kx9wt I’m not sure if there is one particular scripture that teaches it, I have just learned it from preaching down through the years. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 speaks of the gospel being the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord. Romans 6 talks about being buried with Christ in baptism and raised in newness of life. Acts 2 tells about the disciples first being filled with the Holy Ghost and gaining resurrection power. I’ll have to research further, those are just some scriptures I thought of.

Your mom is really cute! 😍 I just remembered the chocolate game (your kids are maybe a bit too young for that yet. We played it with 5y or so). We usually played it on birthdays. Okay, you wrap a chocolate bar in newspaper. Then you need a fork, a butter knife, gloves, a hat, a scarf and a dice. So every kid rolls the dice and the one that has a 6 puts on the hat, the gloves and the scarf and starts to unwrap the chocolate with the fork and the knife. The others keep rolling the dice. When someone else has a 6 he has to take on the gloves etc. Yeah I saw the sandwich 😍 and got hungry😄. I'm gonna heat up my dinner now😉😃. Happy Easter! I'm gonna be at my parents house for coffee and cake.
using the story of your daughter is a great example, diana. a lesson on object permanence. this was "discovered" by a child development psychologist, jean piaget. i think that's a great lesson considering we call ourselves children of god. hes always there. and you dont have to see him. im sure your children are providing you so many opportunities to see things with a fresh view. im glad youre here on yt.

Our family has a tradition of coloring hard boiled eggs together on Easter .Adults and children color with crayons, markers, dye, stickers, glitter, the spinning machine thinger…. Whatever we’re into that year! When the grandkids kids were littler we then hid them outside and had an egg hunt. We have a new small (16 months old) to teach how to hunt eggs this year. Looking forward to the beautiful Easter Day forecasted in Iowa!

So it's not confusing at all when Christ said, why hast thou forsaken me. He is talking to His Father. Or when Christ was baptized and He heard the Father's voice from heaven, this is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased. Or when Christ says I do nothing except what my Father does. Christ is not his own Father. Beautifully simple. Like how Christ says in the New Treatment he is in us... We aren't Christ, or a different version of Him. The same applies when we read scriptures that God is in Christ. They work together, but are separate beings, and we work with Christ and God. And with the Holy Ghost, They three work in unity for the salvation of our souls.

I loved seeing your mom, she is so amazing ❤️What we do during this Easter season is tonight we will go to church and we do the Passover dinner as a whole congregation. Then since my mom has passed away my dad, brother and my family do a BBQ lunch at my home which has been fun because it’s so different and we’ve created new memories. New this year during the fasting season I’ve done 2 water fasts. So just water for 3 days. After finishing my first fast my dad accepted Christ in his life the next Sunday ❤️❤️❤️tonight I finish my second and I’m so excited for my next testimony. Have a great Easter with your family. ❤️

What a wonderful reminder of what Easter is all about! ✝️ (yet keeping it fun and memorable for a full family group) we do the same- family, church, ham, cheesy potatoes, baked beans - candy, pie and Easter egg hunt. Sometimes we do minute to win it games. Is it just a Minnesota thing or does everyone celebrate with these same foods? I mean … what is an Easter meal without Cheezy Potatoes???
We do a similar menu ham, broccoli salad, deviled eggs, and twice baked potatoes/with cheese, and of course dessert lemon bars and resurrection cake😋

Hi Julie, we may disagree on this, but I am sharing that you need to repent and choose to make Jesus your Lord through several passages, including this one: Romans 10:9-10 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” I do agree that baptism is also essential (Acts 2:38).
❤️✝️ Gods command for us to be baptized (being immersed in water) representing the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus is how we come in contact with the saving blood of Jesus and are raised to walk in newness of life. 1Peter 3:21, Acts 2:16, Romans 6:4 ❤
Just to clarify, our repentance represents Jesus’ death, baptism represents his burial and being filled with the Holy Ghost represents his resurrection.

@@MrsApril-kx9wt I’m not sure if there is one particular scripture that teaches it, I have just learned it from preaching down through the years. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 speaks of the gospel being the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord. Romans 6 talks about being buried with Christ in baptism and raised in newness of life. Acts 2 tells about the disciples first being filled with the Holy Ghost and gaining resurrection power. I’ll have to research further, those are just some scriptures I thought of.
@@cynthiafisher9907 Yes we are told in Gods Word the importance of searching the scriptures ourselves instead of just taking someone else’s word for it because unfortunately there are so many false teachings now that either leave out or twist scriptures . Acts 17:11

Line upon line, here a little and there a little, not cherry picking one scripture or another. It all fits together like a beautiful tapestry.
