Smile is Beautiful Dawn😁👍. Genetic anomalies are very common. Your genetics are passed onto one of your children or grandchildren!! My Dad and I have restored do many cases like yours, or people have a genetic "mesiodens " ( common too). Glad you are through the procedure and endodontic procedure. Amen🙏😇. Thank you Dawn for the scripture and links to read more. Like " Jesus calling" ❤️🙏 Keep on smiling and TH-cam ing Always Super videos Dawn😇.
You are brave for sharing this online. Dental can be such a sensitive topic and is so expensive that it can be class dividing. I’m sure that this will encourage everyone who is struggling with dental issues.
Dawn, many people with your dental issues (the "permanent" retainer) would have shied away from making YT videos that involve so much speaking into the camera. You set a good example of not allowing such "imperfections" to hold us back.
FOSTER CARE...... best thing , no regrets. I did foster to adopt back in 2003. I was a single ,never married, 40 year old. I fostered a 8 day old little girl who I ended up adopting. She is now 17 and my heart ♥️. She was my 13th child placed in my home (lucky 13). I am now married and my daughter loves her daddy. Good luck !!! Florida mom 🍊🌴🌞
You are the most humble beautiful soul! So many things we don't talk about! I can relate to your dental.challenges! You have the most beautiful smile and teeth! Blessings!
Thank you so much for sharing these personal journeys.... especially removing your dental appliance to show your missing teeth! You didn't have to do that, but you did! Everyone is always fixed up so nice for their youtube videos and we tend to assume that you look perfect all the time! It means so much when you share glimpses of your real life ... it makes it easier for us to be happy with ourselves just the way we are! (btw, I've always admired your smile even before I learned the whole story! lol)
I don’t know why, but some people are so unhappy and their solution is to try to make everyone else unhappy as well rather than finding a way to improve their own lives. So sad.
Of course this video was interesting to me- I am a dental assistant! And finally realized why I would get deja vu when you showed pictures of you with your grandma. I believe I was your assistant at your first orthodontist! Your smile looks AWESOME !
Same here I studied Dental Reception in 2006. And find this very informative and interesting! Wish I had known you then and you had come speak at our class. I may of understood even more so what the process involved!
You have beautiful teeth. I am jealous. I had my front tooth knocked out at the age of 16 from a car wreck so I have had so many issues with that, and other teeth issues. I am so envious of people that have beautiful perfect natural teeth!
You are amazing. To share not just minimalism but very personal things that leave you vulnerable! The message was of Hope but also also of Steadfastness and Love. You are standing strong in the face of adversity and showing compassion to those who suffer. It is the message of Jesus. Sometimes we don’t see how powerful our messages are. You are such a blessing to so many (even the meanies or they wouldn’t watch 😉)
I'm 38 and I just decided to get braces for very crooked teeth but felt guilty for many years that it was due to vanity, etc. I've had them 2 weeks now with 23 months to go and was astonished that this came on my feed. It encouraged me greatly.
How nice of you to share such a personal story. Throughout all the “clips” in this video you look super cute. 😊 I like your glasses. The reading and prayer at the end were awesome. Thank you!
Wow Dawn! I am just now watching this in 2022. You have been through so much with your teeth, and I am sorry that you had to read/hear what some rude person commented. I have had my share of dental work done, so I do understand some of what you experienced. I must say that I have often thought that you have the most beautiful smile, so clearly your dentist knew what he was doing. He is a keeper! You probably won't ever read my comment because I am posting 2 years later, but if you do, remember that you are such a joyful, kind, and thoughtful person that no matter what your smile looks like, you will always be beautiful!🥰
Thank you so much Dawn 💓 I've had teeth problems my whole life and after having four children at the ripe old age of 29 I've had to had a tooth pulled and have been trying to find a solution with a couple other teeth too. This gives me so much hope and confidence about dealing with this. It was truly devastating when they told me the teeth would have to come out but I feel so much better after you sharing your story. One more thing you've helped me with in the last two years. You are an amazing, inspiring woman of God. ❤❤❤
I noticed your voice changed as time went on in your videos. Now I know why! I have been blessed with great teeth. But my sister not so much & she had to have 10 implants due to her gums. I was blessed to have the money to lend her & she worked it off helping my business. It was very expensive. Glad she and you were able to swing it. Everyone deserves a confident smile!
Thank you for sharing your story. Your teeth look great! I have alopecia, this is the second time my hair is falling out. Most people don’t know that I wear a wig every day. I have to remind myself that I am grateful for my health & this is more of a cosmetic issue than anything. I love how you wrapped up with a message of hope too. God bless you!
Thank you for sharing this. For many reasons I don't have the energy to properly enumerate. Thanks for the empathy, costs, complications, chronic pain, self-conscious to spend money on this but situation getting worse without treatment, that we are so blessed to have dental care, deep gratitude, and especially the humbling ... If you ever doubt it, know that you have a ministry gift as well. Sincerely.
You guys are our positive friends right now! Lately my husband has been telling me to wait to watch your videos with him! Thank you for sharing with all of us! ❤️🙏
Finding this video randomly was such a blessing. I have a tooth that never descended and I have a flipper that just broke last night! I have been nervous about doing the implant and this whole morning I have been stressing about it! I feel better about getting it done. Seeing that others deal with this too makes me feel more brave.
I’m so glad you shared this! I have a flipper and need an implant but it’s been a 7 year process because moms always put themselves last lol. That’s on my list to finish next year 🙏🏼
I cannot believe how RUDE people are! Dawn is so adorable. I feel like if you don’t like something about her just hush and go on to the next video. Lol.
Thank you for sharing your dental story. You never know what someone is going, there is someone always worse off then you. You have a beautiful smile and laugh.
Brilliant that you shared this! My brother had the exact same with those two teeth missing! You have a beautiful smile so of course you want to have it permanently done! ❤️
What a powerful reading during Advent and perhaps more so, during Covid. I'm an over 70 er and miss my grand kids (5, 3 and 9 months) so much I can't even express it. Yes, we use technology, I send treats and crafts, window waves ..but it's not the same. We all need Hope in Jesus day by day.
So topical for me this Dawn. This week I have had two broken crown roots removed. I now have a plate with 4 "fake" teeth. Its so painful getting used to it and dealing with the extractions too... Thank you so much for sharing.. I feel like I am not alone xx
Dawn, I have always thought you had such a pretty smile! The beauty of a person’s smile is not how perfectly white or straight their teeth are, or even if they have them all!! The beauty comes from the genuine soul where the smile first resonates! I am so thankful for your channel, for your authenticity, and inspiration 💕
Blessings to you & your family! I love that you’re talking about this! Such Humility! I had soft enamel I lost teeth in a domestic abuse relationship and needed to replace side teeth, then I had 2 implants put in wrong and needed to have them removed and right now I need new ones. It is super expensive in NY ($10,000 for 4). I am wearing a retainer for 3 years and have a fixed bridge. Grateful that God is so good, he knows my need and there just happens to be a dental school in my area that I’m going to now, which is saving me about $5000. 😌
I’m from East Tennessee and we say it the way you do also. I always notice it when people say roof that way also. It is so interesting to hear how people from different parts of the country and world say things differently.❤️😊 Hope you have a blessed day.
It all depends on where in the US you’re from. Most of the country says roof with the “oo” sound like moon. But you can always spot a Midwesterner with “roof” and “root”. Oddly, “room” doesn’t follow the pattern. I’m from the Midwest as well, but my parents pronounced them with the usual “oo” sound so I did, too. But all of the kids I grew up with said them as Dawn does!
I watched the whole thing...not because I am interested in dental stuff but because I like you. You are sweet, kind, a terrific speaker and interesting to listen to. You have great insights and plenty of super character traits to aspire to. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!
My husband had to have one of his front top teeth replaced with an implant and have a bone graft done due to bone degradation. It was a yearlong process and made him soo self conscious it threw my very happy husband into depression. That was 10 years ago but I still remember it vividly. He needs 3 more implants done and he keeps putting it off not because of the cost but because of the physical and psychological trauma. Dental work is no joke. Thanks for sharing as I’m sure so many people deal with this and it’s HARD!!
Thank you Dawn for being vulnerable & trusting in us (people you don't know personally) to share your story. I think you are a lovely person inside and out.
Aww Dawn, I wasn't alone with my declutter challenges and now I feel like I too am not alone with my dental issues lol I love your family, grateful and thankful for you. xoxo
Thank you for sharing that about the "missing teeth"! My mom was in her 40s, and had been on strong rheumatoid meds, and her obgyn recommended terminating me. My mom was at her appointment, last minute, decided to have me. All that to say, I have only a couple of little difficulties, one being some missing teeth, and had to have two bridges put in at 15. So cool to hear not alone!
Thank you for being so humble, and showing your teeth. I am in the process of healing after losing teeth and feeling so self conscious. Seeing your story reminds me it's okay and I'm not alone.
I can relate. I finally had to adjust to the fact that I was going to need my top teeth pulled and a complete full denture for the top! My enamel had worn down and the teeth were actually so soft they were breaking or just coming loose at the gum line. Expensive and exhausting! Plus I hate them. I like you, feel very fortunate I was in a position to get it done, but it has literally changed everything. I to talk with a lisp and I cannot chew right with them in. Thank goodness for masks right... lol. Now if I can just adjust to eating again. Dinners at home until I fully recover. Thanks for sharing Dawn.... gt
Bless your heart. My beautiful daughter was born with literally very thin enamel on her teeth. We brushed, had them cleaned, spent literally thousands of dollars on her teeth, etc., and still when she was a senior in high school her permanent teeth began to fall out and or literally rot in her mouth. She had all her teeth taken to nubs and permanent porcelain crowns and implants put in and it was the best money we ever spent (literally we could have bought her a luxury car!) and we are so thankful we did it. I know from her experience that dental issues are no fun and I am glad you have a good outcome. You are beautiful and I love the relationships you have with your family. ❤️
Dawn your smile is gorgeous, as it has always been. Thank you for sharing this part of your dental journey, for taking the time to find the lessons in your experiences and sharing those with us. Today's reading was just perfect, as was the prayer. And hope you feel better soon Diana xx Love & Blessings from Queensland, Australia 🌞🌞🌞
My daughter is 30 yrs old and is having to have all her teeth pulled. It's heartbreaking as her mom to see her hurting. She doesn't have insurance nor any money to get dentures but she started a go fund me. I am praying something will happen so she's not without teeth very long. Dental care is out of reach for a lot of people. I have one broken tooth right now but it's not hurting. Then I have one that has everything done for an implant but the implant itself. It's going to be awhile before I can do anything but I'm not complaining. Dawn, your smile is beautiful and more importantly you have a good heart and love Christ. Thank you for sharing your journey.
I had terrible TMJ with many open dislocations. No insurance covers this and my parents couldn't afford yhe treatment. We couldn't afford it being married at 18/21 so 20 years later i was in so much pain just to eat. Smile, and yawn. we had to pay over 5,000 which was a fraction of what it should have cost (I lucked into a dentist who was newly certified and was willing to do the work as long as I aggred to allow pictures for his portfolio). I am forever grateful for that! It took 6 years from start to finish. 5 root canals and crowns too due to nerve pain all the time. Its easy to get down and discouraged and question why me? But faith reminds you its just a challenge and teaches you humanity/compassion for others who have it so.mich worse. Thanks for the suggestions on advent options and the app.
Anthony Williams talks about TMJ and it being caused by the Epstein Barr virus. He has written many New York Times best sellers that you can get from the library 💕❤️
Dawn you are so brave and open, telling all your make up stories, hair extensions stories and now teeth stories. Even without all these extra things, you still look beautiful. I don’t use any of the things mentioned but good that you are openly telling what you are using.
Your new smile is beautiful and as you become more and more used to it, nobody will know that it is anything but natural. Just before I watched your video today, I was reading a blog post from Karen at Just Get It Done Quilting. She included a quote from Michael J Fox who said, "Optimism is sustainable when you keep coming back to gratitude.” In my mind, optimism and hope are closely tied. I always think of you as being a very optimistic person, and I think you confirmed that today with focusing on your gratitude as you were talking about your dental work. You are such a great exemplar of hope and I thank you for sharing that with all of us. In the current state of our world, we all need optimism and hope.
You are absolutely adorable! I have been binge-watching your videos for a few weeks now and have already purged my house of so many things in the beginning of my journey here. I am so thankful for your time and dedication to all of these videos you have done. I have tried and watched so many others for years and years, but yours have struck home and just WORKS for me. I have had tooth issues, as well, and can totally sympathize with all that you are saying. I just wanted you to know how thankful I am and that I wish I lived near you and we could be friends! :D (that sounds creepy now that I read it but hopefully you get what I mean, haha !:) )
When we first moved into our house that we're in now, nine years ago, the water pressure was incredibly low. We had well water so we just thought it would always be like that. It was so low that if someone took a shower while I was running the water in the kitchen, it went down to nothing more than a trickle in the kitchen. I was getting so frustrated every time I turned the water on so I took it to the Lord. I felt like it was going to be a terrible example for my kids to be angry over something that I couldn't control. I gave the issue to the Lord and He totally turned my thinking around! in an instant I had gratitude for the fact that I had water coming out of a tap and I didn't have to walk down to a river!! The feeling of gratitude that welled up inside of me couldn't have just been from within me because selfish me was ticked and this was the complete opposite of how I had been feeling. I started sharing this with my family and how wonderful it is that we have water in our house and it was contagious. They all became thankful too and the low water pressure didn't bother us anymore! About 5 years later my husband was working on something and had to replace a pipe. In that pipe there was a filter that no one knew about! He changed the little filter and our water pressure was unbelievable after that! I still thank the Lord for that lesson! 💗 Oh, your teeth look lovely. 😀
And you can drink the water from the tap! Many countries have tap water to wash with but it is not safe to drink Must purchase drinking water. So glad to hear that filter cleared up the problem. Always more to be grateful for than I realized
I too have an identical twin, we both had stained teeth from Tetracycline as teens for acne. She got veneers first and I was so jealous because I couldn't afford at the time. Getting my veneers was the best thing I ever did and we have identical smiles again!! Enjoy your new smile!! PS new subscriber here, I just retired early and I need to purge everything and I found you this week!!!
I don’t think I have ever comment on your videos... but, I think your bravery and humility for talking about such a private situation is just so admirable and commended. Also, Thankyou for reading some scripture on hope because we can “never let the presence of a storm cause you to doubt the presence of God”. May the God of hope full you with all joy and peace as you trust in him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 May God continue to bless you and your loved ones....✝️🙋🏻♀️
We sometimes feel that the lives of others are perfect...thank you for sharing your struggles...it makes me feel better about mine!! We love you all as well!!
My son and I are both missing the same exact teeth! Same exact things. Maryland bridge-failed. No bone structure for implants. Now bridges. Never knew anyone but us. Thanks for the help decluttering my house is so much better!!!
Dawn, thank you for sharing this last dental journey with us. I know personally and as a former dental assistant that dental work can be expensive and uncomfortable at times. (Especially when we are going through the process). I am proud of you for being so candid about your experience. The finished results are great and now you don’t have to worry about anything slipping down during one of your videos. Thank you also for the reading for the first Sunday in Advent. Take care. Well wishes to Diana. ❤️Leslie
Thank you for sharing this! My son who is 16 has the same problem. He has braces right now. I’m glad to know in advance some of the potential problems we could face when he goes to get implants. I missed Diana...but you did a really good job on your own!❤️
Thank you so much for this video. You are very brave to do this on TH-cam and I literally feel your pain. I’m 73 and have had implants, crowns, root canals, veneers, etc. due to not good teeth. Growing up was so painful going to the dentist. And later in life SO expensive!!! And still have gum issues. I am still thankful for so many other things in my life, mostly family. Love your videos. Take care ❤
Amen, even when my mouth hurts, I know I have it good. Thanking God for my dental work & the gift of insurance at different stages of my life as well as my children's. Definitely not something I take for granted. Blessed by your testimony of trust & truth.
Thank you for posting this. Last night I was told they'd have to remove my tooth and it tore me apart. It helps me to see your positivity and patience through your teeth problems. Also I'm in the can't afford good care boat and on top of that I'm so sensitive I need anesthesia to put me to sleep and that is literally thousands of dollars. We're going to try to do a payment plan though and get it sorted out. Please pray for me!
@@wandamusictube Hey thank you! Turns out the dentist was wrong. I went to my original dentist and she tried to save my tooth plus she takes my insurance. The problem was that she didn't do the anesthesia so I had to toughen up and do it without. I didn't get a crown on time though and it chipped my front tooth off but the back tooth is still ok for now. Got a temporary filling and waiting to go again for an x-ray to get my crown and do my other root canals.
Dawn ! It absolutely makes me cry to think ANYONE is EVER snarky or mean to you ! You are absolutely beautiful inside and out and it all beams from your smile !! We need more people / family examples like you ! Stay strong pretty lady . You make the would a better place. 💕
I have often admired your smile in your videos. I thought wow she has really straight teeth. It’s funny how we never truly know what is going on behind the curtain of someone else’s life. Thank you for sharing your struggles, your smile is beautiful and the light that shines within you is even more so!
So well spoken about losing hope. I know how these kinds of ongoing struggles can steal our joy and affect so many aspects of our lives. I've had some very similar issues with my teeth and some other health challenges. I wore a flipper for several years and it did a lot of damage to my teeth and palate and I had to have more teeth removed and it broke off bone and now I cant wear anything, just hoping and praying for a miracle of healing and struggling to deal with talking to people and feeling crushed by feelings of failure and hideous appearance. Thank you for sharing your own journey and all you do to help others with the gifts and lessons God has brought you through- a powerful reminder of His faithfulness!
Your teeth look great!! Thanks for the advent recommendations! I converted to Catholicism about 5 years ago. ❤️ I’m so excited for Christmas/Advent and I love celebrating my Catholic faith.
Amen. I'm so happy to deepen my relationship with Jesus in this holy season and prepare for His coming. Have a holy Advent and a joyful Christmas season. Many blessings!
My daughter is missing two adult teeth, one upper and one lower, but they are on the side, not the front. The orthodontist did a great job and took great pains to not disturb her baby teeth there, trying to preserve them. So far, the roots are long and strong and we're hoping for the best. Thank you for talking about this subject. It isn't as rare as I it was and your openness is encouraging.
I so needed to hear this today. I am 34 healthy women and currently watching you from my bed I am battling COVID caused pneumonia. I was in the hospital on Friday and thankful to be alive and home but I could use your prayers and Diana’s. You both are so uplifting to me in my health and even more so during this time. Thank you for taking a leap of faith and sharing what God put on your heart today. You are very qualified as you have the same Holy Spirit in you that all of you other Believers have. ❤️ stay healthy and safe!
I have watched so many of your helpful decluttering videos and only just seen this one while I was browsing the recent what I wear in a week clothing video. This has definitely inspired me to look at my clothes! This dental condition is fascinating and my husband has exactly this (and so has a bridge) and our children have recently discovered they have missing teeth either side of the front ones too and are waiting for their appointments to see about what can be done about it while they are still young (13 & 11). I would be interested to know if either of your parents have this or you have passed this down to any of your children? Your new teeth look great! Thank you for your videos! Keep up the great work!
So glad I am not the only one with dental challenges. I am really struggling with my speech when I wear my partial. Thank you so much for making me less alone in dealing with it❤️
THANK YOU!!! So much for this scripture. You will never know how this came to me at the perfect time and how much it gave me hope and peace. I've just recently found your videos. I am painting my empty nest's interior and as I paint a room, I'm removing the 32 yrs of "stuff" that has accumulated and left by my kids. So I listen to you while I paint and declutter because you encourage me to keep going. I just found out this week that my best friend of 42 yrs (we're 62 now) has covid. Her health was not great anyway and we are both scared and praying for her and her family. Your message about hope was a wonderful surprise. I didn't even know you were a Christian. Even as Christians sometimes we forget during the struggles to just get back to the basics. I never really took the time to understand Advent, but I sure will this Christmas. Thank you again and Merry Christmas! By the way, I too have had dental struggles when through a childhood accident I lost a permanent front tooth. It has never "looked" real, you have also encouraged me to check into what can be done now with all the new tech, I'm sure it could look better and I'd be less self conscience about it. I understand being scared of the dentist even as an adult. You are a beautiful kind lady!
I really like the portion of your video addressing your dental problems. I was very fortunate and didn’t have a lot of serious dental problems as a child. I didn’t need braces. But after my first child and the housing crash and my mother dying when my son was 8 months old we had to a lot of hardships. I had always prioritized my dental hygiene. After my son my dental hygiene went from a 10 out of 10 to 0 out of 10. For two years I didn’t get a dental cleaning because I thought it was too expensive without insurance. What I realize now is that I was so depressed I couldn’t make good decisions about taking care of myself. We made so many poor financial decisions. But the one thing that impacted my families ability to save and afford big costs like car repairs or a new car is the cost of repairing my teeth. It be great if you could do a video about that this cost as it relates to being frugal or minimalist. I think a lot of moms, in the name of minimalism, probably don’t go to the dentist regularly. But the reality is the alignment of our teeth, the health of our teeth and our gums is a very integral part to our immune system. Our health in all forms; mental, emotional, physical, oral is vital to being minimal and living frugal and caring for our families! I don’t think it’s necessary to compare yourself to the suffering of others ever. Your pain is your pain. Validating your experience doesn’t negate another’s. It sounds like a nightmare to go through what you went through regardless if people went through something worse. My son’s both have autism and ADHD and they are going to need a lot of dental work. My oldest is 13 and going in for his third oral surgery under general anesthesia. It’s going to cost us $2300 out of pocket. Dentist and orthodontist are great but that part of insurance is the biggest racket and needs more governmental regulation. A lifetime benefit for orthodontia work is immoral. Especially for kids like you were and kids like mine who are going to need a lot of orthodontic work just to be able to have a smile that will gain them a good first impression when they try to get a job.
My dad was a dentist and my sister is also missing those two teeth. I think she still has the Maryland bridge he made her. It's given her a lot trouble in recent years though, so maybe not. Thanks for making this video, even if not everyone is interested. I am very interested and happy to think about my dad who died nearly 8 years ago.
Dawn, thank you for all you do! You are beautiful inside and out, and I so enjoy your videos. You are very talented and incredibly gifted! God bless you and your precious family!
I have miniature teeth where you are missing teeth, and my parents were able to get bonding covered by insurance. I was also so self conscious about my smile until they were fixed. Thank you for talking about this and making it seem as normal as this sort of thing is!
I had that issue as well. It was fine, but I was always so paranoid and embarrassed that I didn't have pretty teeth like everyone else I knew. I opted to get veneers on my front four when I was 21. Part of me wishes I wouldn't have, since after about ten years I had to have them redone since a few had issues. But the confidence I have had with a pretty smile is amazing and corrected so many personal issues I had.
I can so relate to the sympathy we gain when we ourselves start to experiencing pain or discomfort. As I began to experience chronic pain and lost of mobility -my memories slipped back to my father and his life of pain and struggle. He did not look disabled but pain is often invisible and so often then not understood . Daily I am now sympathetic to what he had suffered and thankful for what I still can do and the strength I have to push myself away from self pity knowing others are suffering more than I. Definitely having a thankful heart pushes away the pity and push through life,!
Thank you for sharing your story! I've struggled with this exact problem and thought I was alone! It's crazy to read everyone's stories, our healthcare is a joke... bless you all
@@TheMinimalMom I can't stop thinking about this and have to ask... was your dad in Vietnam by any chance? My dad, a Vietnam vet, thinks it's related to agent orange!
It's wonderful of you to share this journey with your new lovely smile. I can understand how it would make you feel self concious and make you wonder if you could share such personal information. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing, it's helpful and I know it's a relatively small (in the whole world scheme of things) thing, but I believe it will be meaningful for many people. Have a lovely Christmas.
Thank you for sharing this with us. I have had many dental problems, too, but it's nice to feel like I'm "not alone" with those problems. Your smile is beautiful!! I pray that mine will be much better soon, too!!❤❤❤
Dawn, you ARE qualified to bring hope to your subscribers through God's word. Whether it's your own words or those of others or directly from the Word of our Lord.!! I've worked in a dental office for seventeen years. This covid situation has affected me greatly due to the constant discussion we are required to have with our patients. It is never ending, and on top of things even though we were fanatical about protecting our valued patients and our staff, several of us came down with it. Worse, when I went back to work weakened, three of our staff members were out, so I had to attempt to do four jobs while still trying to smile and make our patients feel good during our ten hour days. I am a woman of faith and am missing terribly our extra church gatherings. I want you to know that you and Diana bring such a ray of sunshine through your vlogs. Bless you and your families.
Thank you for sharing your story and passing along the hope spoken through Dutch Sheets. I had a lot of dental work as a child and young adult. I had braces twice, went through multiple 'contraptions' in my mouth and then finally had jaw surgery where my mouth was literally wired shut. So thankful to God that those days are over, but I can relate to others when they go through that kind of suffering. Glad yours is behind you too!
You look great! I'm 57 and in traditional braces because my teeth started shifting in crazy ways. It made keeping my teeth properly clean very difficult, and some were getting loose. It's been eighteen months and I'm ready for them to be gone, but like you, I'm thankful for the financial resources to be able to fix my smile before things got worse.
I love your optimism, Dawn! You have a beautiful smile! Your story was very humbling to me. I am German and we have universal health care. The story about some of your friends who have to live in chronic pain sent shivers down my spine. I really hope 2021 will bring universal health care to all Americans, so that everyone can be treated when in need! Love from Germany!
I knew it!!! I’ve watched you for YEARS and almost asked if you were missing the laterals. I AM TOO! So I could see we had a similar smile. I have dental implants now but am looking at getting veneers also in the future. BEAUTIFUL SMILE! ❤️

Your teeth do not look fake! It just looks like you had braces and they are very straight. Nothing wrong with that!!! 😀
My husband is a dentist, I’m a dental assistant. Your teeth look great!
I have a permanent retainer because my teeth kept moving...so many of us have dental thee issues. 😫
Yay! This is so cool to read!! 💕
You are the most humble beautiful soul! So many things we don't talk about! I can relate to your dental.challenges! You have the most beautiful smile and teeth! Blessings!
💜
Thank you so much for sharing these personal journeys.... especially removing your dental appliance to show your missing teeth! You didn't have to do that, but you did! Everyone is always fixed up so nice for their youtube videos and we tend to assume that you look perfect all the time! It means so much when you share glimpses of your real life ... it makes it easier for us to be happy with ourselves just the way we are! (btw, I've always admired your smile even before I learned the whole story! lol)
Why, why, why would anyone be snarky to you guys?! ❤️
For real! I don't get it!
To say, "Hi" to Tom!
@@terryberry8776 that is exactly what crossed my mind! Lol.
Cannot believe anyone would feel the need to be snarky to you :(
I don’t know why, but some people are so unhappy and their solution is to try to make everyone else unhappy as well rather than finding a way to improve their own lives. So sad.
“It isn’t happy people who are grateful, it is grateful people who are happy”🙂
Of course this video was interesting to me- I am a dental assistant! And finally realized why I would get deja vu when you showed pictures of you with your grandma. I believe I was your assistant at your first orthodontist! Your smile looks AWESOME !
Wow!!! That’s cool!
Woah, if you were small world. How neat if you're rememebering right.
how cool! I was intruiged as well as a former Dental Asst myself :)
Same here I studied Dental Reception in 2006. And find this very informative and interesting! Wish I had known you then and you had come speak at our class. I may of understood even more so what the process involved!
Dawn, you did a great job today. We hope Diana feels better, but you are qualified and gifted to speak as well!
I totally agree!!
Yes!
Thank you!
as a dental professional I am proud you have shared this journey!
You’re pretty brave for sharing this. This is why I love you and your channel. I love all of your smiles. 😉
Your beauty shines in yours eyes and heart.
I am not religious, but I love your autentisity, currage and devotion and your loving spirit.
How sweet is that?!!
That is incredibly sweet ! I love that you watch together
I’ve got my husband watching many of your videos with me, too. He enjoys Tom’s perspective!
Aww. That's the sweetest 😊
That’s on my list to finish next year 🙏🏼
Wow. Surprised by my sudden emotion when you said “we bless everyone watching in the Name of Jesus”
It was a blessing to me too!
Yes..💕🙂
Your smile is adorable!! ignore the trolls. Glad to hear that you tube does some editing. BLAH!! Happy start of Advent to you and yours.
I cannot believe how RUDE people are! Dawn is so adorable. I feel like if you don’t like something about her just hush and go on to the next video. Lol.
I feel for you, I've also had extensive dental work and the cost and pain sucks !
Your teeth look amazing!! Thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing your story because so many of us *shocker* aren't born with perfect teeth lol.
Thank you for sharing your dental story. You never know what someone is going, there is someone always worse off then you. You have a beautiful smile and laugh.
Brilliant that you shared this! My brother had the exact same with those two teeth missing! You have a beautiful smile so of course you want to have it permanently done! ❤️
Thank you for sharing about a personal issue. And the resources you share are excellent! "Hope" you have an awesome week!💛
I'm so sorry thay happened to you Wendy. Glad you are safe now, and that you have the resources to fix what was broken.
@@marieskee22 Jesus is the only reason why. I cannot take credit. He gives beauty for ashes. ♥️
Oh my God......Thank you God that you got out of that. Praying that you are successful in this new endeavor.
God bless...
As a Canadian I thoroughly enjoy the way you pronounce "root canal" 😁❤️
They say "roof" that way too! So sweet! Former Canadian
@@karenhjort not here! We say root with a long oo like toot not foot. ☺️ I love listening to language and accents.
Hehe I also love it 😁 (so different than here in Canada)
Dawn, You are beautiful person inside and out ! 😀
Dental pain is no joke! God bless you and your family! 💜🙏
Thank you for being so humble, and showing your teeth. I am in the process of healing after losing teeth and feeling so self conscious. Seeing your story reminds me it's okay and I'm not alone.
It must feel terrific to finally be done with the retainer. Congratulations! Your smile is lovely.💗
Thanks for sharing Dawn.... gt
What a wonderful devotion! You are a blessing to me today! And you’re speaking my dental language 😁. You got excellent results 🦷.
And hope you feel better soon Diana xx
Love & Blessings from Queensland, Australia 🌞🌞🌞
You are precious! Thank you for being so real. Blessings to you and Diana.
That was awesome 🙂
I can definitely relate to that.
Great story. Good reminder to be grateful. That filter though ....who would have thought? 😊
And you can drink the water from the tap! Many countries have tap water to wash with but it is not safe to drink Must purchase drinking water.
So glad to hear that filter cleared up the problem. Always more to be grateful for than I realized
Your smile is beautiful...mainly because it's contagious!! Keep being you and ignore the negative folks!
You are absolutely awesome! I have learned so much from you and your perspective and how you look at life.
thank you so much, it makes me feel like I’m not the only one with dental problems and I don’t need to feel quite so ashamed about it. ❤️
Romans 15:13
May God continue to bless you and your loved ones....✝️🙋🏻♀️
Like you, every so often i witness something that makes me think I should never complain about anything ever again. We all have a story...
❤️Leslie
This is the first time I seriously paid attention to this Dutch Sheets devotional. God bless you, Dawn!!!
Take care ❤
Happy Advent! , hope, joy, peace! 😊
I'm Catholic I'm doing a advent study with my friends.😇
Me, too! We are doing ours by zoom - not the same, but still awesome to grow in faith together!
I ho
pe it worked out for you.
Sending hugs and prayers to you, Melissa!
May the Lord restore your health!
LIFE in Jesus' Name! "By His stripes we Were healed".
Stick with the Truth even when facts challenge it. Facts change, Truth does not!
As I listened to your video, I feel that naming our baby girl's middle name as Hope might sum up this year. Thank you for inspiring me.
Especially if she will be born this year. What a wonderful legacy to leave her with,
My middle name is Hope, so I never lose it
I really like the portion of your video addressing your dental problems.
It's crazy to read everyone's stories, our healthcare is a joke... bless you all
Seriously astounded by the number of others saying they have the same thing!!
@@TheMinimalMom I can't stop thinking about this and have to ask... was your dad in Vietnam by any chance? My dad, a Vietnam vet, thinks it's related to agent orange!
@@jules1896 oh that’s really interesting, my dad want but my grandpa was, not sure how far the effects reach!
Been through crowns, implants, root canal, you name it! I am so blessed to have good insurance. You have a beautiful smile!
Thanks for sharing your story. It's so interesting to hear other people's trials and what they learned through it!
I love that you could talk about this especially being someone who is dealing with the same thing. 💕
Thank you for sharing your dental story this morning. Prayers for your quick recovery.
I knew it!!! I’ve watched you for YEARS and almost asked if you were missing the laterals. I AM TOO! So I could see we had a similar smile. I have dental implants now but am looking at getting veneers also in the future. BEAUTIFUL SMILE! ❤️
As a dental hygienist, and obsessed w teeth, I enjoyed hearing about your dental journey. Your smile looks great! 😀
