Here's the thing you can easily just go by if you're warm or cool toned. Like, I'm fair skinned and cool tone and I look amazing in cool toned bright jewel tones. :) Warmer tones, like say yellow, look awful on me clothes-wise. :) For me I like black pants or denim and a colorful solid color top like a jewel toned shirt. :)
I texted a friend about a week ago and was a bit offended when she didn’t respond. Turns out her marriage fell apart that day. It’s humbling. You never know what someone else is going through.

I'm pretty sad as I write this-- definitely tears happening. I know that a Christian is supposed to avoid envy, but I truly envy your sisterhood. I have no women in my life that I'm close to-- of course I have colleagues, but they are not deep lifelong friends. I'm a stranger in my very large church, and my mom and daughter died long ago. I am 59, and have never had a best friend. You two are so lucky. Please pray for me that I can find a gal friend who's a Christian and maybe she could be a prayer partner too? Thank you both for your lighthearted laughter. You are so blessed. I love that Dressing Your Truth takes your personality into account. I wouldn't pick you for 3 and I don't agree with all of her choices, but I love that it's not just appearance-based. I've done it and I'm a 4/1.
I think the more common style/color analysis is the seasonal one that categorizes you as Summer, Spring, Winter, or Autumn, and within each season there are specific color palettes based on your skin tone, eye color, etc. Cardigan Empire has some really fun color charts that help you pick your best colors once you know your season. There's also a good TH-cam channel called Color Analysis Studio where they do example color tests on their clients.
I love you girls so much! So many funny moments in this video, Diana’s eyes when Dawn said “dealing with Mum”, when Diana said “and you’re supposed to say…”, Dawn channeling whether Diana was in trouble… I love seeing your relationship as sisters and twins and hearing about your family interactions. Love this! Keep all your black clothes and wear lipstick/jewelry/ scarves for your color season. I got rid of all my clothes that don’t fit and slowly replaced them with ones for my color season. It is the first time ever that I can wear everything in my closet and it’s great! 🎉

Dawn, I’d say either type 1 or 3. It’s based on face shapes more than anything. Its fun to join Dressing Your Truth membership for a month so you can ask Carol to type you for sure. Then get the colour cards and walk away from the rest of the program. I really do feel amazing when I dress my truth, but the rest of the program gets very new age.

I am thrilled you’re playing with DYT. I have thought about your types (an inevitable side effect of doing this programming is typing everyone else in your head), and I have wondered about 1/4 for Dawn and 3/1 for Diana. As for colors, YES, DYT has a color component that features heavily in the style aspect of the program, but I find the most value in the better empathy and understanding of myself and others, and then the color piece is fun. That said, I also did my seasonal color analysis and was True Summer (more like a mix of DYT 1/2 colors than 3). For style, I take the colors from both that I like that work well together - this is information and it’s not the boss of you… (I’m a 3/4).
You are both so beautiful inside and out. You have been so helpful since I found you. The evenings are the most demanding time of day when you are caring for someone else for 2 reasons, whether they are young children or dementia patient-you are getting tired, and they need to eat, have their bedtime hygiene routine, dementia patients have what is known as "sundown"agitation-some kids seem to too!, then you try to get everybody settled down, you do your own bedtime routine, and clean up to get ready for the next day!
People often have their own busy lives go on. Always reach out and say hi or invite people. I love getting invited over since I can't host at my house and it is so nice to just come and hang out and do life.
I had a two-week trip to Israel carrying only a 20-lb bag. Easy-peasy! And I had my tablet, and I carried my camera equipment. It was so much better than dragging a heavy bag.
You two are not old! We all do need friends though. I can relate to what you are saying about reaching out to friends you lost touch with, and realized it probably isn't personal.
If I won a large lottery prize I already know how I would spend it. I would purchase a House, set aside some in an Emergency Fund; travel to Ireland, Scotland, Italy and England to see my college friend; donate a third of the remaining amount immediately; set another third aside for future donations and keep the remaining third for bills and possibly a car or jewelry. I wouldn't purchase an expensive house or jewelry or fly first class so even my expenses would be frugal. You can see 😂 😂 😂 how much this question really hit home with me.

I've taken the quiz on Dressing Your Truth a long ago. I said 'oh I can grasp this'. I found it very stressful having to go thru all the suggested colors & styles while shopping, and of course money was stressing me. It's hard to find cute & trendy in my size. I did shop thrift too. I realized that I'm most comfy on what I was already wearing and I don't have to buy but maybe few shirts a year. I have very sensitive skin to I just couldn't put all that in my head!
I do dressing your truth and am a Type 1. It is pretty freeing. I have always had a small wardrobe and I am able to do it even better with Dressing your Truth. On packing I love the part where Dawn said take half the stuff out. I do that and still have to much sometimes. My oldest son would not let me pack his bag after he could do it because I pack to much.

The sister dynamic here is fantastic! Folks used to think my sister and I were twins (actually 13 months and 17 days apart) because we are very close. I'm so grateful for this type of relationship.
I’ve been doing “Dressing Your Truth” for 9 years and it has changed my life and saved me so much money! This system is energy-based and facial features will determine your type. All I can say, is when the outside matches the inside, some magical things happen in your life!!! Ladies it’s worth the time investment. You’ll feel better, be more successful and get a ton of compliments. You’ll actually look 5-10 years younger too. When you find out your type, you’ll then learn about the right colors, fabrication, hair, make-up and accessories that will work and it is magic!
I took that quiz years ago and found it fascinating and fun. I used to share about it with the caveat that it has New Age elements. Then as I watched more videos and listened to what was said, I just decided to do me. Really, the whole face profiling that is supposed to be the be all and end all, I found to have too many holes along with more and more New Age elements; it no longer felt right. The bones overtook the meat. ETA: After saying all that; here I sit listening to the rest of your conversation, chuckling and "typing Diana". Truth be told, I was also typing the two of you back when Dawn started to wear all black. It does that to you! Ack! LOL

Dawn, I would have guessed you are type 1/3 based on how much you smile and your facial features (based on that energy typing system)! And I would have guessed Diana is type 4/3 based on how she likes things to be structured / under control. You both share that 'push forward' energy, though as a secondary.

I must add that black is not to be worn by anyone except Type 4’s! (Not Dawn!) Also, Carol Tuttle is very good about encouraging the use of second-hand stores to purchase your clothing and even has videos on how to dye your clothing, shoes, etc. Lots of good stuff! 😊
I highly recommend STITCHFIX! I’ve been doing it about 5 years, I get clothes picked by someone that studies my style and pushes me a little! I save so much time and money. It’s really helped me decluttering also. I don’t waste money on things that almost fit. I send back what’s not perfect. Also y’all are so funny and precious to my heart! ❤
You two are such an encouragement!! I have been minimizing for about a year now and decided to just take a carryon to our last trip. I had these black shorts that I loved but had been chewed by our puppy so I bought the exact same ones for our trip. During the trip I put on those shorts and did a photo shoot with my hubby. AFTER the photo shoot I realized I had minimized the new shorts and worn the chewed ones! The pics turned out great and make me laugh every time I see them! I got it for my 28-yr-old single daughter for Easter and wasn’t 100% sure since I didn’t read it first. Im a 62-yr-old adoptive mom of 5 yr old son, whom we have had since he left the hospital - as our grandson. Diana, just make friends with the other believing moms whose children are your children’s peers at church and/or school. That’s enough of a bond; in those relationships, your respective ages won’t matter. If they’re younger, you’ll probably get to mentor them a bit too, and the pastor in you will love that!! I love it when you pray for our prodigal children. Still trusting God to reach and break through to our 32-yr-old daughter, the one who gave birth to our now-son. Yes, but I’ve made food that I know has gone uneaten. I don’t have time or energy to do that. So many food allergies, intolerances, preferences, etc. I will take food to people, but I ask first so I can bring something they will actually eat.

I did dressing your truth, it goes mutch further than only the clothes. When you read the books " it's just my nature " and "the child wisperer " you can understand other people mutch better. Sometimes I just couldn't understand why my husband did something a certain way. Now knowing his typ I do understand.

I been there my grandma died, had her funeral and my car got a flat tire that couldn't be fixed all within 4 days. I didn't even look at my phone.

The sister dynamic here is fantastic! Folks used to think my sister and I were twins (actually 13 months and 17 days apart) because we are very close. I'm so grateful for this type of relationship.
I’ve been doing “Dressing Your Truth” for 9 years and it has changed my life and saved me so much money! This system is energy-based and facial features will determine your type. All I can say, is when the outside matches the inside, some magical things happen in your life!!! Ladies it’s worth the time investment. You’ll feel better, be more successful and get a ton of compliments. You’ll actually look 5-10 years younger too. When you find out your type, you’ll then learn about the right colors, fabrication, hair, make-up and accessories that will work and it is magic!
I took that quiz years ago and found it fascinating and fun. I used to share about it with the caveat that it has New Age elements. Then as I watched more videos and listened to what was said, I just decided to do me. Really, the whole face profiling that is supposed to be the be all and end all, I found to have too many holes along with more and more New Age elements; it no longer felt right. The bones overtook the meat. ETA: After saying all that; here I sit listening to the rest of your conversation, chuckling and "typing Diana". Truth be told, I was also typing the two of you back when Dawn started to wear all black. It does that to you! Ack! LOL

You 2 are so cute!!!! I found dressing your truth about 3 years ago, and it has made a huge difference in how I feel about clothes, and really helped me declutter clothes I had been hanging onto hoping they would work. Love seeing you girls together!

Dawn, I would have guessed you are type 1/3 based on how much you smile and your facial features (based on that energy typing system)! And I would have guessed Diana is type 4/3 based on how she likes things to be structured / under control. You both share that 'push forward' energy, though as a secondary.

I must add that black is not to be worn by anyone except Type 4’s! (Not Dawn!) Also, Carol Tuttle is very good about encouraging the use of second-hand stores to purchase your clothing and even has videos on how to dye your clothing, shoes, etc. Lots of good stuff! 😊

I’ve been doing it about 5 years, I get clothes picked by someone that studies my style and pushes me a little! I save so much time and money. It’s really helped me decluttering also. I don’t waste money on things that almost fit. I send back what’s not perfect. Also y’all are so funny and precious to my heart! ❤
You two are such an encouragement!! I have been minimizing for about a year now and decided to just take a carryon to our last trip. I had these black shorts that I loved but had been chewed by our puppy so I bought the exact same ones for our trip. During the trip I put on those shorts and did a photo shoot with my hubby. AFTER the photo shoot I realized I had minimized the new shorts and worn the chewed ones! The pics turned out great and make me laugh every time I see them!

We adopted the carry on only philosophy years ago. It makes me think more on the front end but is less to manage while traveling. Love your videos!

I got it for my 28-yr-old single daughter for Easter and wasn’t 100% sure since I didn’t read it first. Im a 62-yr-old adoptive mom of 5 yr old son, whom we have had since he left the hospital - as our grandson. Diana, just make friends with the other believing moms whose children are your children’s peers at church and/or school. That’s enough of a bond; in those relationships, your respective ages won’t matter. If they’re younger, you’ll probably get to mentor them a bit too, and the pastor in you will love that!! I love it when you pray for our prodigal children. Still trusting God to reach and break through to our 32-yr-old daughter, the one who gave birth to our now-son. Somehow I’m going to come to one of your speaking engagements so I can meet you in person. I hope you get one in GA or AL!! Much love!! 💕

Yes, but I’ve made food that I know has gone uneaten. I don’t have time or energy to do that. So many food allergies, intolerances, preferences, etc. I will take food to people, but I ask first so I can bring something they will actually eat.

I’m glad you found Dressing Your Truth! I’m a Type 1 and it makes shopping so much easier! Carol does have some “healing energy” thoughts, chakra, etc. that I cannot buy into as a Christian, but her Typing methodology is spot on, IMO. Love your videos and your courses. I’m so glad I found you both! ❤ (Type 1’s tend to use emojis and that is for sure…ME!😂)
I did dressing your truth, it goes mutch further than only the clothes. When you read the books " it's just my nature " and "the child wisperer " you can understand other people mutch better. Sometimes I just couldn't understand why my husband did something a certain way. Now knowing his typ I do understand.
I am also a type 3. I would guess Diana as a Type 1. Looking forward to hearing the result.
