- Hamstrings Muscle is most prone to be Shortened or tightened due to poor postural changes and play major role to cause Lower Back Pain /Stiffness.
When we do some work sitting on chair , in our society most job is chair sitting job/desk job in which people spend more time sitting on chair due to flexed knee the hamstrings muscle which is the muscle of back of thigh originates from Ischial Tuberosity of Pelvic bone and insert on the Knee (Medial Tibial Condyles) and made up of three heads 1. Semimembranosus 2. Semitendinosus 3. Biceps femurs muscle gets shortened and tightened which sometimes causes pain in the muscle too.
Hamstrings muscle tightness also causes back pain in most cases as when the back of thigh muscle(Hamstrings) gets tightened due to postural changes the muscle adjacent like glutes and back muscle also gets tightened and causes back pain.
So Here I'm sharing some important and effective Stretching Exercises and mobilisation techniques which will help you to get rid of Hamstrings tightness as well as keeping back healthy.
1.Active Hamstring Stretching With Towel in Supine
2. Standing Hamstrings Stretch
3. Ball Rolling Mobilisation
4. Foam Roller Mobilisation.
