    How are you cleaning your engine? I cant ever get it THAT clean usually i hit it with purple power and a pressure washer then brake clean later but i still have slight oil stains/darker spots that wont clear up

      I used any liquid soap l have at home (409,lysol) and lots of elbow grease on some corners. Scotch brite will make it shine. Sometimes l'll hit it w/ a wire brush attached to drill motor.

    hello i'am new to the H/F engines on honda, the piston are supposed to be oriented 180° on this engines? because i see in your video at 6:09 that the IN mark is facing the exhaust, is it how it should be?

    • @sagittnet2158
      @sagittnet2158  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a frankein motor, the person who created it figured out that k20a2 piston exhaust relief angle was good enough to face the intake valves of H22 when it's installed w/ arrow facing the tranny. The g23vtec creator wanted to use k20a2 wrist pin offset to be like a regular F23 piston. It's to help or relieve some stress on cylinder walls.

    • @sagittnet2158
      @sagittnet2158  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As you've seen when l clayed the motor on previous episode. It's all depend on what type or brand of piston you use. Some after market k20a2 piston will not have a wrist pin offset, so you can install it like normal. It's pretty much applied on usdm OE k20a2 piston that has 11:1 comp ratio and only use a not so hi lift cams. It's really is your choice on how you like it installed since its a frankein motor.

    • @sagittnet2158
      @sagittnet2158  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'll give you another example; Nippon racing sell 3 types of piston w/ variety of hi comp ratio. If you choose to use the CTR or ITR piston w/c those 2 have more dome height that what l used (usdm type S). And you want to use a sk2 pro2 cams for example, you have to make a decision whether you want to take advantage of the wrist pin offset like f23 piston or risking hitting the valves. If it's me, l'll choose to install the ctr or itr piston like normal to prevent a p2v contact. Now the question is, will it make a defficiency effect on the cylinder walls now that the wrist pin offset is backwards. We dont know coz no one is sharing that info. Some builders choose to use a piston like CP piston coz they dont want to deal w/ wrist pin offset and they can use a much higher comp ratio up to 12:1 or even higher and still able to use a hi lift cams. Hope this help you out, it really is a lot simpler once you build one.

    • @sagittnet2158
      @sagittnet2158  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You probably seen my other video where l used a nippon racing piston and l choosed to install it like f23 piston( wrist pin offset) . But l shaved the exhaust relief coz we where using type S cams and you've seen it w/ clay n everything.

    • @sagittnet2158

      th-cam.com/video/X-LeWuMQh8A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bJ9jK-w8wF6Jj8uL if you have time, watch his vlog. You can see he is using a much higher comp ratio piston than mine and he's itb's. You can leave a message and ask him if he's experiencing any weird noises. He's cool and he like it so much. It's kinda confusing and l tried to make it simpler on my episode that l only talk about 1 piston , otherwise l'll get lost and so are my viewers lol! I mostly built boosted g23 and l dont deal a whole of a lot on hi comp ratio motor. Anyway, since your'e new on H n F series, dont let me keep you stray, if you have anything you want to know and something your confuse on any of my materials, lmk and l'll try to help you out. Thanks brother.

      @@haydencawood7860 check out his channel. He's using a j30a5 piston on his g23vtec. That piston will give you a 10:1 ratio or a bit more but not as high as k20a2 piston. I'm not sure if piston valve relief are not interfering but if you watch his channel. It's obvious that is running, and pay attention on the wrist pin offset and it looks like that you can install the piston on normal configuration. If you ever do it, clay your engine and share what you find.
