I got the Ruger LCP for $220 new, the Bersa for $250 used, Glock 42 for $400 new. The Bersa jammed a lot, so I sold it. The LCP is definitely not a range gun, it will put a hurting on your hand after awhile. The Glock 42 is by far my favorite. It's the easiest to shoot, and the recoil is soft. I carry it frequently in the summer. Good video my man!
Nice to see someone give Bersa the credit it deserves. I had a Bersa Thunder .380 and it was a great gun-- grip, feel and weight were very comfortable and the steel frame and slide helped to reduce muzzle flip & recoil. The only negative was the capacity- 7+1 (not sure where how he gets 8+1; I couldn't load that extra round). I now have the Bersa Combat Plus.380 edition, with a 15-rd capacity, and it is a great EDC pistol.
And the 8 rd mag is available aftermarket. I have a couple of 9 rd mags, but that pretty much defeats the purpose of carrying a piece like that in the first place.
I just picked up my Bersa .380 Thunder about a week ago and it's been nothing but a pleasure to carry. I highly recommend one for anyone! I have a few friends that also carry the same and they love it also :)
He did say the 5 best in his opinion....any video that claims to be the best of something is obviously an opinion and it shouldnt need to be stated in a title.
@@broot1375 How fortunate you can read an absolute statement like "Top 5 best 380 ACP Hanguns" and know it's not an absolute statement. I'll bet when you read "no warranty express or implied" you just know there has to be a warranty.
There is no absolute best 5 380 guns....that is the point. Anyone who doesnt already know that is an idiot....and we normal people dont need to read an idiot proof title to know that.
Thanks for the input, but I'll take my Walther PPK/S in .380ACP over any of these. Stainless frame/slide, Double/single action, 7/1 capacity. Extended magazine for sure 3-finger grip. Relatively easy concealment and acceptable weight.
has it ever had any problems like how many times would u say it jammed or anything like that I wanna get my girl a .380 idk which one I should get though I was thinking a S&M 380 shield ez
I own the Ruger LCP and quite frankly I like the double action longer pull trigger. Since it doesn’t have a safety I think this helps with any accidental discharge. Anyway, it’s super lightweight and a very easy CCW. The price was right and ruger quality. I love it.
I'm glad you put the Bersa in your top 5. I am always surprised when people making these types of videos rarely if ever mention the Walther PPK. The Walther is a classic, very reliable and well made. It's been around for over 80 years and Smith & Wesson have maintained the high quality. I would've had that one on my list and changed it to Top 6.
Bersa Thunder cc was the best .380 I ever owned. Had Taurus, Keltic, S&W Bodyguard and Sigma, Sig 238, but the Bersa is the best. Higher round capacity, accuracy, mechanics, got to get another one.
I like my .380 Bodyguard. As I gain more experience I may graduate to a single/double action or single action only but right now I like the added safety of the double action only.
Keep your Bodyguard cuz its got less weight and has double tap in case the round fails. Great pistol, compact, lightweight and way safer than guns like the Sig. 380. Just saying.
You forgot the Sig 230/232 models. Carried the 230 for off duty carry for years. Still have it. I carry a Ruger Lcr 38 special +p nowadays. Both great concealed guns Imho. Take my German made Sig over any glock any day.
Thanks for this concise and straight forward review; I like that you include the price. I don't know why most of these guys want to give you their whole life story when they do their reviews. Good job.
I own and carry Sig P238 and I love it. I can carry it in my pocket, IWB, OWB. For everybody out there that thinks the 380 cal is underpowered I say this "If I double tap you with two rounds to your chest I can assure you, you'll not be a threat to me anymore"!
I like 380 as well I have a Smith and Wesson Shield EZ. I have rheumatoid arthritis so I’ve lost a lot of grip strength and sometimes really struggle with that and this gun has been the easiest for me to handle in conceal carry.
I shot both the Glock and the Bersa at the range. The Bersa was a little more accurate and the recoil was less due to the weight and barrel length. I had no FTF with either gun after 200 rounds through both. I ended up buying two Bersa Thunder Combat 380's for both me and my wife. We use them as our primary CC pistols. I have put well over 1000 rounds through mine and have had one FTF in the time I have owned it. I was VERY pro Glock prior to the Bersa. Now I am a firm believer in the Bersa brand.
My favorite is the Bersa Thunder 380 Plus. 16 rounds and not noticeably larger than the regular Thunder 380. And it is relatively inexpensive. Mine is totally reliable, hundreds of rounds through it using two magazines and varied ammo without a single hiccup. Ant TOTALLY accurate enough for self-defense. It has a very nice single-action trigger pull and very good sights.
I've carried the Glock 42 for 7 years and I carry it every day. It's so easy to shoot, recoil is negligible, and I get 9 rounds with my ETS magazines. I added the Hogue grip and it made the grip even better.
I owned a Bersa Thunder 380 for self-defense & CCW (the normal 7 round magazine version). My thoughts on the gun: - It was very reliable - It was a budget gun for sure as the quality of the components & steel was lower - Easy to conceal - More difficult firearm to completely disassemble - Had/has a very smooth/easy to pull trigger *Note:* I heard the Bersa Thunder 380 plus had malfunction with their "hi-cap." magazine. Maybe they fixed them now. THE TROUBLE WITH .380 ACP = is the price is *noticeably more* than 9mm for *noticeably less* power.. *DATA POINT:* CCW Calibers used in America: - 70% of the U.S. use 9mm - 10% use .40 S&W - 9% use 45 ACP - 11% use "other" caliber Notes: - The 11% "other" calibers include the .22LR, .25, .32, *380 ACP,* .357 mag., .44 mag., 10mm, 5,7x28mm, etc. - The Worlds usage of 9mm is probably even higher than above U.S. figures. *Informed (opinion) conclusion:* 1. Mouse gun calibers are not recommended for self-defense. 2. Best caliber(s) to use for CCW is *the 9mm.* World police & World military agree with this as most folks use the 9mm including US police & military. Stay safe *Reference Note:* these figures are from an Active Self Protection video (Nov. 27, 2017): Biggest Takeaways of My Survey of 6,000 + Firearms Carriers | Active Self Protection Extra th-cam.com/video/RZ0v7zoVzV0/w-d-xo.html
@@sweetcostarica i dont think there is a lot of folks who would like to get shot with 380..or any hot lead for that matter..even a 22 can kill..that being said i have 3 9mm guns..and just bought a glock 42 with r.i.p ammo..380 ammo is expensive..not sold on 380 but we will see once i take it to the range..love my glock 19 tho
@@irock4u222 Please check the data above about the 9mm vs the 380. Don't know many folks that use the .380 ACP these days since 9mm is cheaper and performs better. God bless though.
Now we have the S & W M & P 380 EZ which is an awesome gun. It is light, accurate, easy to load, easy to rack the slide and easy to shoot and clean. The recoil is very manageable. It holds 7 in the mag and 1 in the pipe. The gun is not a mini like the LCP, but still small enough for pocket carry. The best part about it is the EZ in the model number. It has a mag load assist built right in the magazines and it is so easy the rack the slide. So for a person like myself with hands not as strong as they used to be, older people and ladies with weak hands, this gun is, at this point in time, perfect for us.
As a gun dealer and long time shooter, I have shot or owned all of these guns. All are good, but the Ruger LCP has been my back-pocket carry gun since it first came out. In my personal opinion, it is as good as it gets. Slim, snag-free, reliable, compact, accurate, priced right and reasonably potent. Food for thought.....
Thank you Nigel 900... I just started and shot the Ruger LCP at the range and loved it. Your recommendation solidifies my choice. Thanks for your post!
I wanted to buy a smaller pistol for carry purposes and was looking at the Bersa Thunder because I thought it looked a lot like the Walther PPK but because the one I looked at, like this one in the video, only held 8 rounds so I didn't buy it, I then found out they also make a Bersa Thunder PLUS in .380 which holds 15 rounds and went ahead and bought it. I've fired a couple hundred rounds through it so far without cleaning it and not one single failure. The stacked mag makes the grip just a bit thicker but very comfortable in the hand. The only thing I don't like is that the smaller ammo is more expensive than the 9mm for my other pistol. Also it came with only one mag and I bought a new mag which cost me about $42. with tax.
The nice thing about the versa thunder the fact is that it has a alloy frame and a stainless steel slide is that the weight and the feel of the gun give you better control makes it more accurate it has excellent sites, I would highly recommend it !!
The Ruger takes a while to brake in. Recoil not that bad. Has no safety, so the long trigger pull makes it safer for pocket carry. Good back up after you brake it in.
Khar P380 with night sights is now my favorite EDC. Great trigger, 10 oz, 6+1. Use the recommended ammo, keep it clean & lubed and always load the chamber by releasing the slide lock (ie don't rack the slide). Not a single misfire.
Bersa Thunder easiest to carry that I can shoot accurately. Never an issue over hundreds of rounds using FMJ ammo. Hollow points with a .380 just doesn't penetrate far. Tests show 8" plus I don't care about over penetration but it's probably not an issue with any .380
Enjoyed your review and recommendations. The Bersa Thunder 380 has a steel slide and polished barrel. The frame is alloy and I'm pretty is checked you'd find it's aluminum alloy. Eight + 1 capacity and solid feel make it great for concealed carry.
After much research and trying out 380's for my latest conceal weapon, I ended up buying the Sig Sauer P238 this past week and LOVE IT! I am so glad to see that you agree that it's an awesome gun. Easy to conceal, really good looking (which women love) and very accurate! We have the Glock 42 as well and my husband conceal carries that one. Can't go wrong with a Glock either!
In my opinion the Bersa Thunder PLUS 380 is the best 380 ever made. Period. It has it all. VERY safe, VERY reliable, concealable, high capacity (16 rounds), great DA/SA trigger, accurate, pleasant to shoot, and inexpensive. Mine gets carried a lot.
Own both Ruger LCP and Bersa. I carry the LCP every day in my pocket with the holster. The Bersa when I don't need to conceal. Over 1000 round through both. No ss or other failures. Accuracy of 4" at 7yd with the LCP and 2" with the Bersa. $249 and $279 respectively. Fired the 42. Nice, but price is high. Kimber was okay. Needing immediate easy self defense. Not picking someone off at 100 yards. Suggest one thing. Practice, practice, practice
I've owned several of these guns, including the little Sig, but the best of the lot, not mentioned, is the Kahr CT380. I now carry this gun full time. It has excellent sights, outstandingly safe double action trigger pull, has been totally reliable, and I use Magguts magazine inserts. This gives me a NINE round, pocket .380 ACP gun, with a long enough grip that my pinky does NOT hang free. All these points, plus outstanding accuracy and ease of shooting (easy to control), makes the little Kahr a best buy in my opinion. Give a look-see; mine is the limited edition Tungsten Ceracote model. It's the best all around pocket gun I have carried, incuding pocket revolvers.
I have to agree on the Kahr CT 380. It is truly a 24/7 carry except for bed and bath. After having had G42, Sig 238 and P380, Walther PPKs (which cut the web of my hand), Bersas, S&W Taurus 738s and Rugers. It's thin at .756", light and it works and gets carried. They all work though and tend to be "on the job" rather than at home due to size! We have to use what works. The 380 round is great now too IMO. Thanks 👍
Bought my wife one in pink, light weigh, light slide pull... but it stove piped like crazy, tried different ammo and found no fix, got rid of it. Junk.
I also own a Colt Pocket Lite. Seems a forgotten .380 in all of the reviews but one of the best in my opinion. I know mine if very accurate and easy to carry.
I have shot most of the models listed, and I will agree with this author. The Sig is the best out the guns in this video and I bought a new p238 HD two months ago. I didn't even know this video existed. Good job on it.
Just got my Ruger LCP for $169. Great weapon. Personally, I like the longer, heavier trigger pull. It replaces the lack of an external safety. I don't think the weapon has much recoil at all.
Ruger LCP double action trigger. Go to the range. Get used to it. Ruger LCP recoil. Go to the range. Get used to it. Ruger LCP accuracy. Go to the range. Get into it.
My LCP is ideal for concealed carry IMHO. No malfunctions ever and bought for $180 at Academy with coupon. Also have a Taurus Spectrum which is equally great 👍 I know, they are not the whoopee brands, but they work for me 😉🤣👍👍💯
Agree with the felt recoil issue with the Ruger LCP..it is so light and small that recoil is surprising: quite a bit of snap. Not a gun for firing a bunch of rounds at a time. However seeing as it's primary purpose for me is an easy to carry/easy to conceal self defense firearm and not for 'target shooting': for me the felt recoil is not an issue. I can still put two quick rounds on target at 5-7 yards and that works for me.
When it comes to conceal carry there is no one best gun. It comes down to what you like. Me personally, I like the full double action pull of the Ruger. With a little practice it is no hindrance to accuracy (we are talking 10 yds or less here) and provides me with just enough confidence when quickly drawing the gun. You really don't want a 2 lbs trigger here. I have an older LCP so I wish the sights were a little better
My wife has the Ruger LCP, I ordered a hogue grip and a magazine extension, made it much easier to shoot. It's a cheap upgrade and makes a big difference. I also have a Sig P238, which is nice to shoot right out of the box. Both are great guns for their purposes. For anyone who can't justify the cost of the Sig, don't overlook the potential of the Ruger. Sure the upgrades are an extra cost, but I bought and upgraded it for half the price of the Sig. Now we can actually enjoy both at the range.
My daughter has my old P238 and she loves it. She has little hands and slim fingers, and she can cycle and run the gun without any trouble. And she is very accurate with it as well. I replaced it with a Glock 42 for myself.
Good video.I do think you left out one of the best 380's out there with one of the smoothest triggers,,,and that is you guessed it.....the Kahr P380 or the CW380..By the way I do also own the bersa thunder duo-tone,,,,great gun...
@@stufields5125 Yep, each to their own. I have a Glock .40 I don't remember the model # but the trigger pinches my finger when I shoot it. Guns are like women, everyone has their preferences. Although a gun will give you less grief than a woman.
Well...Norm I had a .22 fall out of a holster with a live round chambered. It hit the ground before I could grab it and it went off. The bullet came thru my ring finger exiting in the palm of my hand. I was bending over it and don't know where the bullet went after it exited. I traded that gun off for a parachute. Since then I have been very careful about guns with that kind of hammer mechanism. That said, I've also had some grief from a woman.
The CT-380 is the best kahr, 7 rounds, grip is long enough for pinky finger, 3” barrel for a bit more velocity. With the mag guts kit, can up that to 8 rounds
I was hoping i wasnt the only one getting beat up by that beaver tail. it seems to find your thumb bone no matter how ya shoot it. As for the sights, they just dont alaign right. for instance if you line up the tops of the front and rear not only does the front dot dip below the rear notch but it will shoot 15 inches low at 25 feet, line up the dots and your on target. But hey its a sub 300 dollar pistol that at least for me has never malfunctioned.
I have not found one feature or function ability flaw with the sig Sauer p238 that I purchased several years ago I have to say I really enjoy shooting and carrying this pistol.
The double action of the LCP is no different from a revolver and lots safer in your packet than a cocked-and-unlocked auto with a light trigger, or a safety you’ll forget to flip off under stress.
I was glad to see the Bersa line discussed in this video. People who know it’s legacy of design are buying these pistols at a huge rate. My wife has one for her purse and loves it.
I never owned a firearm until I was 71. I started with a Ruger SR22 and got quite comfortable with it, but the .22 is not much of a defensive weapon, even loaded with some hot hollow point ammo. I tried a Walther PK380 and was delighted to find that it felt in my hand almost like my SR22. While I was shopping for one, I was persuaded to try the Bersa Thunder and it felt like it was custom made for my hand. The heavy frame absorbs a lot of the recoil which is important with my arthritis weakened hands. The Bersa was factory equipped with the Crimson Trace laser grips. That was a real deciding factor as I have some macular degeneration in my dominant eye and have trouble acquiring the front sight. With the laser (I put one on my SR22 as well), I can consistently shoot 5” groups at 7 yards. That won’t win competitions, but it should put bad guys on the ground. I carry my Bersa in a JustHolsterIt Kydex IWB holster they call their Protector Plus. It is comfortable for all day wear and very reasonably priced at around $50. I tried a hybrid IWB from Alien Gear and it is even more comfortable to wear, but with two fairly stiff clips, it is tough for my arthritic fingers to put on and take off. The JHI uses a single clip and can be slipped on in about 5 seconds, most of that time insuring that you didn’t put it inside your underwear and that you shirt or jacket covers it well.
I just purchased the bersa thunder 380 duotone for myself and a purple one for my wife. Very pleased with both. Ships with 8 round mag making them 8+1 out of the box.
It's a great pistol and very reliable, but the recoil on that makes shooting not as enjoyable even though it's in 380. The weight makes it not ideal for conceal carry either.
Thumbs up on the Sig P238. Most accurate and softest shooting .380 I've fired. Extremely easy to conceal carry as well which makes it very popular here in Texas during the hot summer months.
Should have done a top 10 including the Beretta 84 Cheetah, Walther PPK, Kahr P380, CZ83, and the S&W bodyguard. Would have loved to see all those in one vid. Anyway great vid. New sub.
Great Video! Fun Fact the Bersa you show at the range is the standard version and the one in the main video is the CC version. You can tell by the beaver tail and hammer.
I love my Bersa Thunder. Great gun for the price. Plus not a steel frame, it's alloy, but it is heavier than the polymer guns which is why I like it so much. I've heard it shoots better than the Walther PPK.
Being left-handed the problem for me the location of the safety, magazine release, and slide release. The Walther PK380 is completely ambidextrous. Bigger frame than most .380s but large rear and front sights. All around favorite EDC.
thanks for the input it's nice to see someone who has humility when they speak to someone some of the guys out there are really arrogant and big headed
I agree also with the PPK series. The Wlather PK380 if you can find one . Good luck. I also believe the S&W is a pretty viable option now as well. It is still pretty hard to beat the Bersa when it comes to price , features and training new shooters. I just really in all my years have seen and trained individuals and have seen what they struggle with and what they are able to grasp. And the Bersa just remains one of the most viable options. I also prefer the Sig P230 . But they are extremely hard to find and super expensive now. I purchased mine early on and still have it. I have went through several Walthers from the PP to the PPK/S. Btw the best PPk's were actually imported through Interarms. The ones S&W had control of had some issues not all of them but some. Mauser and Walther actually both made historic small arms early on. Great history there.
Dude you had me with almost every gun..... But the Kimber Micro. Too many FTF to be a good CCW (life on the line) gun. Replace the recoil spring it's a good weapon, but the stock spring is too weak from factory. Good vid 4/5 perfect recommendations (42/thunder) my favs for everyday carry seeing as I carry the bersa and my father carries the 42 . Sig is the best, just too damn expensive...... Yes I have a max price tag for my life 😁
Two mistakes here about the Sig 238: 1. the Sig can be racked with the safety on, 2; The extended mag holds 7 rounds, not 6. One omission: the 238 comes with night sights standard.
I actually managed to pick up a Kimber micro carry for $500 out the door and it was brand new in box with an extra mag. Both mags were extended as well. The gun pairs very well as a backup to my Rock Island M1911 FS.
I own a Walther PPKS inerarms and a SigSaur P238 both I hit a 50 cent piece grouping at 25 yards can't say enough about them. My SigSaur P 938 is barely longer than the p238 and gives more firepower same group. Recommend 380 for backup I Carry my Glock23 primary and the p938 or P 238 for backup.
Nice review, thank you. I consider all but the LCP too large for pocket carry, and if I'm going to belt carry, then I'm going to a larger caliber. That said, I believe that, if a gun is a great pocket carry, then its not so great to shoot, and vise a versa.
I just got my Ruger 10th.anniversary LCP 380.... I love it.... very glad I made that choice.

My personal requirements would include double action/ double strike capability , preferably hammer fired and metal frame. That would include Beretta 84, Browning BDA, and Remington RM380 . The RM380 has all those features in a very compact size and it would be most concealable . It also has excellent reliability with a wide variety of ammo .
Great video man. I'm thinking about buying the P238 for off duty carry. I've owned and carried the Glock 42 and LCP before. Both are great guns. The LCP did have a long trigger pull which I didn't like.
If I ever go into semi-autos (Uh-oh.) I'll take a .380 I always thought the .45 was too strong for me, and even the souped up 9mm's are getting "snappy", especially with polymer guns that seem to just get smaller and lighter. It feels like shooting a live bullet from a toy gun. I would like a double-stack .380 in a gun with more heft than the ones shown. Maybe the size of the old Colt Commander or the Star PD.
1. Ruger LCP 380 recoil is will cause early arthritis. My very feminine wife has a weak grip and her hand was black and blue the day after. Poor thing.. Beautiful ankle or purse gun for the tougher human being. I personally love ruger. 2. Bersa Thunder 380 recoil was a tolerable. We ended up returning the first one when the guns insides exploded into pieces. Finally returned the second one in it was still too big too carry as far as my wife was concerned.. 3. We finally settled on a Taurus pt22. Excllent size and she hits the target every time. Cool asthetics and perfect weight. 8+1.
The Bursa will smack your wrists also as I found out by not having the proper hold ... with a 2 handed solid tight grip I can reduce the recoil substantially on my wrists.
Got this video in recommend list. I love my P238, "s.a.s" model: de-horned (ergonomic & less snag). Had slide finished in black to match frame and switched to rosewood grips. Left the slide release & safety switch in silver - the contrast is good for low light (& looks good too). Shoots great - only decent ball/round nose ammo so far, & is reliable. I agree @ how it feels great in the hand: solid, balanced & configuration easily determined at a glance. One of my favorite carry guns.

The S&W M&P Shield .380 is a great, reliable gun. Easy to conceal in a back pocket too.
my Wife and I both have Bodyguards and hate the long trigger pull.

The Hogue grip made specifically for the LCP helps it a lot. My favorite summer carry cause it's so light, small and reliable.
I carry the Bersa 380 Plus. It isn’t too heavy, accurate, fairly easy to conceal, and I feel very safe knowing I have 15+1 if I need it!

Roger that!
My Taurus TCP Has a great trigger and has never failed me in over 1200 rounds!! Love my TCP
I have the Bersa CC and find it as top quality against the PPK, and accurate at 25 yards.
I was stunned by my accuracy with the Bersa .380. I upgraded to the Plus model because it has a 15 round mag. Good video.
I owned a Bersa Thunder 380 for self-defense & CCW (the normal 7 round magazine version).
My thoughts on the gun:
- It was very reliable
- It was a budget gun for sure as the quality of the components & steel was lower
- Easy to conceal
- More difficult firearm to completely disassemble
- Had/has a very smooth/easy to pull trigger
*Note:* I heard the Bersa Thunder 380 plus had malfunction with their "hi-cap." magazine. Maybe they fixed them now.
THE TROUBLE WITH .380 ACP = is the price is *noticeably more* than 9mm for *noticeably less* power..
*DATA POINT:*
CCW Calibers used in America:
- 70% of the U.S. use 9mm
- 10% use .40 S&W
- 9% use 45 ACP
- 11% use "other" caliber
Notes:
- The 11% "other" calibers include the .22LR, .25, .32, *380 ACP,* .357 mag., .44 mag., 10mm, 5,7x28mm, etc.
- The Worlds usage of 9mm is probably even higher than above U.S. figures.
*Informed (opinion) conclusion:*
1. Mouse gun calibers are not recommended for self-defense.
2. Best caliber(s) to use for CCW is *the 9mm.* World police & World military agree with this
as most folks use the 9mm including US police & military.
Stay safe

@@sweetcostarica i dont think there is a lot of folks who would like to get shot with 380..or any hot lead for that matter..even a 22 can kill..that being said i have 3 9mm guns..and just bought a glock 42 with r.i.p ammo..380 ammo is expensive..not sold on 380 but we will see once i take it to the range..love my glock 19 tho
@@irock4u222 Please check the data above about the 9mm vs the 380. Don't know many folks that use the .380 ACP these days since 9mm is cheaper and performs better.
God bless though.
I agree! Love the gun I had a perfect score on my concealed carry test.easy to clean.
I love the Bersas, my preference is the Thunder 380 Plus. It holds 15 +1.
with ya there! it was difficult to get one .... and it's my fav
Agreed. I bought one at a pawn shop a couple years ago for $200. I don't think there is another .380 as good as it.
Food for thought.....
lcp2 240 is best
I agree, and I like the Tauras TCP for only $200. Very similar.
And the LCP is fairly accurate.
Thank you Nigel 900... I just started and shot the Ruger LCP at the range and loved it. Your recommendation solidifies my choice. Thanks for your post!
@@bradleymiller9332 ...Check out the LC9 when you get a chance. Not much larger and just a little more in price.
I've been carrying the KHAR PM9 for years, but never hear anyone mentioning it.
9shots is better than 8 homie..
@@omarlara3303 I don't have a 9 shot 380. The Ruger LCPII has 6 round mags. I had referenced the Bersa.
There you go stick with quality guns save money somewhere else!
I forgot to mention that this was the video that convinced me to go with a Glock 42 last Spring. Thanks!
I have 3 of these featured guns. My favorite is the Bersa. It has the least recoil and has the feel of my Walther PP
Ruger makes great revolvers. I can operate the slide on my SIG238 with the safety engaged. Same with my 938SAS. Also consider the Kahr CW380.
Thanks 👍
Great video. You should have included the Walther PK380. A lot of 380 reviewers overlook this fine pistol.
@@jeevang7853 What sucks about it? I haven't had any problems with mine. Only came with one mag though
Bought my wife one in pink, light weigh, light slide pull... but it stove piped like crazy, tried different ammo and found no fix, got rid of it. Junk.
I agree on the Sig P238. Just got one and love it!!
I love my P238
A very fine weapon. I love mine!!!
I just bought the Sig P238. It felt comfortable in my hand! Haven’t shot it yet! Thanks for the comparison of the 5!

Ruger LCP is solid!
Doe-Z Never had a failure with mine.
That's funny.. 45 arp big and slow. Then as a backup 380 small and weak.
I simply love the Colt .380 Government Pocketlite I’ve had for 20 yrs.
I also own a Colt Pocket Lite. Seems a forgotten .380 in all of the reviews but one of the best in my opinion. I know mine if very accurate and easy to carry.
you can rack the slide on the p238 with the safety on!
I have shot most of the models listed, and I will agree with this author. The Sig is the best out the guns in this video and I bought a new p238 HD two months ago. I didn't even know this video existed. Good job on it.
1) Seecamp LWS .380
2) Walther PPK
3) Ruger LCP II
I like the way my Springfield 911 feels like it’s glued to my hand.
Just got my Ruger LCP for $169. Great weapon. Personally, I like the longer, heavier trigger pull. It replaces the lack of an external safety. I don't think the weapon has much recoil at all.
The LCP and the G42 have been good to me. Sig is a future consideration for sure.
Ruger LCP double action trigger. Go to the range. Get used to it. Ruger LCP recoil. Go to the range. Get used to it. Ruger LCP accuracy. Go to the range. Get into it.
Cigarette Vodka Ruger LCP. Won't function a whole mag, without a malfunction. Get used to it.
Great carry. sucky for defense, get used to it.
Cigarette Vodka...Problem with stuttering,or is it the vodka? You may get used to it.
@@jamiesloan5902 You must have a limp wrist, get used to it.
Richard Lamoreaux find a lcp custom . bigger sights better trigger .
@Rick Agreed about the sights. Great for carrying. Terrible for range practice. My guess is in a real close situation, sites won’t be used anyway.
Walther ppk, still the best, imo.
Heavy. Very heavy.
I have the Kahr P40 and I love it.
I have a Kahr P380 and I don't like the trigger action compared to my Para LDA
I love my Bersa Thunder 380
Love the Bersa, carried it for a while. Still a hammer fired hold out here.
Love the Bersa Thunder Combat, my wife really likes it too and now its her carry gun.
I carry a Smith and Wesson M and P bodyguard 380 6 rounds and its nice little weapon!! And it's got a laser sight too!
No love for Walther PK380? My wife loves hers and I'm even considering a second one as a concealed back up to my G23
I've got one. Great gun. Only complaint is that you can't lock the slide to the rear with out an empty mag in it.
It's a great pistol and very reliable, but the recoil on that makes shooting not as enjoyable even though it's in 380. The weight makes it not ideal for conceal carry either.
Extremely well done with minimum talk. Straight to the point; effective and informative. Love the Bersa, Sig and, of course, the Glock
I'd have listed the Kahrs and the PPK before the Kimber but thats me.
Thumbs up for an interesting lineup.
yes kahr is amazing quality!
I've heard it shoots better than the Walther PPK.
jtguns88 not even close to a Walther
Being left-handed the problem for me the location of the safety, magazine release, and slide release. The Walther PK380 is completely ambidextrous. Bigger frame than most .380s but large rear and front sights. All around favorite EDC.
I have the ppk walther auto, love it and accurate.
thanks for the input it's nice to see someone who has humility when they speak to someone some of the guys out there are really arrogant and big headed

I have owned a Browning 380 BDA since 1979...13+1 capacity...flawless and accurate when shot well. Think I'll keep it.
Love the 84fs INOX
I still like the PPKS for 38ACP. It's heavy and accurate.
@@Patriot-rising ya someone else probably makes the PPKS but it is still made quality and gives you an additional round.
Yes I have a max price tag for my life 😁
3:10 Bersa guns are usually overlooked because they're relatively cheap, some people don't believe you can get a very high quality gun for USD 300-400
Bersa is a better gun than any glock ! For halve the price !
@@paulmichaud1246 that's right, I own a TPR9, shot it 18.000 times, never failed 👍🏻
Two mistakes here about the Sig 238: 1. the Sig can be racked with the safety on, 2; The extended mag holds 7 rounds, not 6. One omission: the 238 comes with night sights standard.
Earlier sig p238 models could rack with safety on but since 2016 models cannot. I know because I own the equinox.
Mine is awesome!
I actually managed to pick up a Kimber micro carry for $500 out the door and it was brand new in box with an extra mag. Both mags were extended as well. The gun pairs very well as a backup to my Rock Island M1911 FS.
Great reviews! In my opinion, Kahr P380 should be on this list..
Bought a Sig P238 for my mom's EDC...she loves it.
Nice review, thank you. I consider all but the LCP too large for pocket carry, and if I'm going to belt carry, then I'm
going to a larger caliber. That said, I believe that, if a gun is a great pocket carry, then its not so great to shoot, and vise a versa.
I wanted a true pocket 380 but never liked the Ruger LCP.
I now own a Ruger LCP II (with Viridian laser) and do not regret it at all.
I’ve handled and fired most of these weapons. My choice? Hands-down the SIG. Least favorite? The Kahr (think slide-bite).
P238/P938 are my favorites. Love them.
The Bersa Thunder CC .380 is more careful with good bullets. The Glock 42 is smaller and lighter, and that's a huge plus. And more reliable.
Great video man. I'm thinking about buying the P238 for off duty carry. I've owned and carried the Glock 42 and LCP before. Both are great guns. The LCP did have a long trigger pull which I didn't like.
P238 Flush mount mag is 6 round, pinky extender is 7. Good choices in video. I have the P238 myself and have never regretted the purchase.
You do a really great job at giving the rundown on these guns Chad. I really appreciate your service man. Thanks, thanks, thanks!
Not sure on a 380 that a Kahr P380 is not mentioned. I have a few of the guns you mentioned and none come close to the Kahr.
I agree!!
Great list and video, My fav is the newer Bersa thunder plus, a little wider and way more capacity....... Great job
You should have had the Kahr 380 as an honorable mention, just because the Kimber and the Sig are so similar in design and function. Great video!
Love my cw380.
I purchased the Bersa 380 ACP Firestorm for my wife. She loves the gun and will begin shooting it and practicing to get her CCW,
