I think it's likely that the quad legs' hover and reverse jointed legs' kick are unique to those leg types, similar to how the drifting is certainly unique to the tank legs. It seems that the first part of the trailer was really trying to hammer home how part choices can significantly affect play style. And maybe the left arm delay of the energy shotgun that is missing with the tank AC hints toward a Bloodborne ranged parry option... All in all, I'm happy that the game seems to be most heavily influenced by Gen 3. I just hope the game still has FCS and not the rumoured hard lock-on.
Quickturn wasn't introduced in Gen 4 We had turn boosters as extensions since Gen 2 Gen 4 just made it a basic feature of all ACs rather than needing a part for it
2 things: Judging by the quad leg gameplay it looks like back weapons can be fired at the same time as arm weapons, that seems like the distinguishing factor separating them from hanger weapons. Also regarding the left arm delay, in 4th gen if you did not shoot for a while your weapons would lower. If you tapped the attack button your arms would raise without firing, you would need to tap again or hold the button.
8:00 From have confirmed that this feature is exclusive to the quads. They wanted legs to feel more unique. I'll edit this post with the source after work.
I had a post up about my own findings from this trailer. Good to see we picked up on so many of the same things. This kind of grounded speculation is infinitely better to listen to and participate in than any of those wild theories from pop-gaming TH-camrs.
I wonder if Primal Armor will be an inside part? Or an upgrade that has a negative effect. So you could use either PA, the "reaction shield", or go no shield Also good catch on the left handed laser shotgun, moving up when firing Also Bandai Nacmo Europe has some new screen shots that show a tank AC firing duel miniguns and a missile pod on the pack
Regarding the back weapon firing, I could see it being something that might affect your own stagger if you use it without kneeling for bipedal ACs. It gives you the option to fire and adds another element of decision making.
In the ACV only tanks can fire two cannons at the same time while moving, other types of AC not only cannot fire at the same time, but must also stop moving, but some can increase defense with a shield in the legs, and some can perform FPS (quad). The tank of the AC6 seems to be close to the gen 5
Curious of how the new EMP attack is going to work like is it going to be a special piece of equipment that you have to equipped on your AC to use or is it something that all the cores will have by default 🤔🤔 I'm also curious about tanks now having a drift mechanic to them...🤔🤔
For back weapons like the large GL launchers I feel like limited ammo and high weight/ ENG consumption could balance them out well. Specially if we can fire them while on the move with bipedal or reverse-jointed legs.
@@A-0602 check the missile boat AC again. I think it has primal armor. It doesn't mean the player will be capable of using it but it is in the trailer...i think.
I'm curious about the lock on mechanic, and the differences between ranged and melee, was there an actual lock on for using melee, I've seen the box style lock on for ranged weapons. Is there any indication we'll get the same mechanics this time around.
Aerial floating mode? Wtf did the word flying or hover got taken I never thought I would hear Aerial floating mode im sorry but I need to point that out this isn't a hard text I'm just laughing hearing that
August just cannot come any sooner.
Damn right!
I've already requested the day off 😅

Nice! Thanks for the info

Doing the hard science that AC fans demand lol
What you have seemed to have missed is that the begining in space the drop pod is connected to Vanguard Overed Boost(VOB), which is from ACFA
Wow, it does look rather similar, doesn't it?
Oh man I just watched your analysis of the first trailer yesterday and now you come out with this today. Crazy timing!
Thanks for watching!

They are definitely doing something interesting with inside/extension/core parts. Game can't come soon enough.
I hope it's not tied to cores themselves, the whole 'overboost OR exceed orbit' thing bugged me back in the day.
left hand mutibullet shot is like a stagger shot from bloodborne when enemy is vulnerable to get staggered immetiately.
Quick turn started in Gen 3 using the extension quick turn booster.
You are technically correct, the best kind of correct!
@@A-0602 Wasn't the first quick turn extension in AC2AA?
@@fusioncell7669 Oh wait, you're right. It was even on the AC in the opening cutscene.

I think that would be a pretty good implementation honestly.

6:16 having played less then half the games I'll have you know that's a dark souls mechanic *squirrel noises*

Excellent breakdown! Are there any features you hope they will elaborate upon on future trailers/press releases?
What limits there are on flight. I still have no idea how it's gonna work in these environments.
Hope it becomes deck verified
Will there be AC showcase in a playstation show this Wednesday?

I feel like that could work. Blow your ammo early and drop it.
I think you might be right about the primal armor. 😔
I hope I'm wrong - PA would be fun to explore again.

I really couldn't find any indications of how they'll handle FCS / lock on mechanics. Guess we've still got some waiting to do.
Great video!
