I agree with you on this album. Absolutely fantastic. A very nice combination of metal styles. Never gets boring. One of the most consistent metal bands ever.

I'm pretty late to the party getting into Overkill mainly due to the vocals, took me a long time to get used to them but after sampling this I pleased to say Scortched will be my 1st Overkill album I buy. Love your channel, thanks for introducing me to Xentrix aswell, love them

Good review James. It is a very strong album and certainly one of the best releases of the year so far. The band are on good form of late and a great vocal performance.
It's definitely on my shopping list more so than 72 seasons they've been consistent for so long now I'll be looking forward to your judas priest ranking mate

I do think same day release as metallica was a bit of a bumer but i prefer this over the new metallica album. They have never lost their edge to their sound and blitz sounds great on the album over all. In conclusion i will happily take this and jam out to it again and again
Listen to it everyday since it came out... Fuckin amazing record... Cant get tired off it... Kicks tallicas zillion dollar hollywood teraphy recording in the balls they no longer have😉.. And that comes from a huge oldschool metallica fan.. Like cursing in church but nothing worth listening have came out since 91... Lates is just shite

@Josh Keech I,don't know why anyone is expecting a proper Thrash album from Metallica in this day and age, that ship sailed a long time ago. But yeah if you want quality Thrash you can't go wrong with this new Overkill record. I think you will love it mate 🙂

Hot take... I think Metallicas 72 Seasons is as good as this album! I absolutely adore both! Awesome title track with a ton of standout moments and songs, definitely better than Wings Of War and definitely up there with Ironbound which is Overkills best modern record by quite a margin! I love all these older Thrash vets coming out with amazing albums so late in their careers! Not a weak one over the last 3 years from ANY old school Thrasher!

It's a great CD. Some of the songs had to grow on me but I like all of them now.
