    sorry this video is out of chronological order you guys, but I filmed it when out in Germany and I did promise you I’d do it at the start of my trip! 😉 I’ll see you in the next video back in Spain ✌🏻🌞

    Wow you did great, Holly!! Once again I realize how hard it must be to get the right sentence structure and conjugation in German. I'm glad that it's my mother tongue so I don't have to go through the struggle of having to learn crazy German grammar 😅

    Danke für das wunderbare Video!
    Sorry in German is either „entschuldigung“ or „es tut mir leid“, but you can also just say „sorry“, which most of the younger people do.

    Haha this was fun I appreciate you trying. This seems hard even for a German like me :) Well done! My favourite part was the amount of "Ja" lmao

    Good job on your German, it's already really good! Credits to you for learning a second language while being English. As it's the number one language in the world, many people don't bother learning another language. I like that you do! Love from the Netherlands (Dutch is kinda similar to German btw, maybe you already noticed).

    A real challenge, since in cities like Berlin you probably only had a few chances to try out your German. As soon as you realize that you are not German, they will automatically switch to English there. By the way, I think it's good that you take your time if the right vocabulary doesn't immediately come to mind. I feel the same the other way around with English.

    Getting flashbacks to my gcse german classes seeing holly speak. Its fine using apps to learn on your own but the best way is to just live in the country for a year or so and practice with locals and be forced to speak the local language as much as possible.

    • @HollyGabrielle
      @HollyGabrielle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      i do agree!! to properly learn a language i really think you need to fully immerse yourself in the culture and live in the country itself 👌🏻

    I've been enjoying you travel videos so much! I'm going to Vienna for a week by myself and I tpo as learning German so I'm wxcited to see how how much i end up understanding. Still not confident enough to actually speak to living creatures. 😂🤭
    As apposed to some comments you have been getting... you're exactly at the age to figure out a little more who you are and what you like and it looks like you're enjoying finding out. We got used to seeing you in a specific type of lifestyle but it's only yours and it's more important you do you.

    "Engschuldigung" means both "excuse me" and "sorry", but really pretty much anyone in Germany will also just say "sorry" 🤷‍♀️ just a little more German-sounding when it comes to the r's maybe 🤔

    Hello Holly, it's a nice video. I could see that you tried very well to speak german. 1 little thing at 11:06 you said: Ich bin sehr sehr heiß. Usally we say this in german about girls when we find them pretty ;). But even that little mistake makes you so likeable. Have fun in spain!

    • @carinateske6261
      @carinateske6261 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! We would say "Mir ist heiß" rather than "Ich bin heiß" (unless you're feeling yourself hahaha)

  • @tommay6590

    Just a little detail: „z“ is pronounced like „ts“ in German, so train is „tsug“ not „cool“🧐🤔😉😅

    ja ist ok !
    yes it useable to spend time here 🇩🇪
    past ,present &future is also not bad ,we know what "you will say..!"
    Please , Do not use "Love" so often for nearly everthing it lost all the power🤮... Love=privat !!!
    and...again "ich bin sehr heiß" is not what you will say you mean "Mir ist heiß - Ich habe hitzewallungen will mich abkühlen...etc."
    Ich bin sehr sehr heiß means before you get pregnant...you😂 know?

    “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
    ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭NIV‬
    ROMANS 10:9-11 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame”
    Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
    “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.””
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭19:10‬ ‭
    God wants us to believe in His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, who died for our sins :D When we truly believe in our hearts that Jesus is the Son of God, who died for our sins so we could have eternal life with God, we are saved from the eternal fire and have eternal life in Christ Jesus!! 💖 May God bless you all! 🕊❤️

    Your vocabulary is pretty good, you just need some practice. I noticed many phrases that sounded "normal" to my ears, once you manage to connect them you are done. No problems with pronunciation and a good feeling for the grammar already (or still?) Sounds like you learned German as a child and did not use it for a long time.

    • @HollyGabrielle
      @HollyGabrielle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's exactly me! i learnt i back in school but it's been a while since i've properly spoken it out loud!

      @@HollyGabrielle Sounds familiar. I learned my English in High School and did not use it any more for more than 4 years before I noticed what I lost. Then I started talking to myself und began reading books in English rather than German. That did the trick and is easy to keep up :-)

    Your pronounciation is quite good, but you consistently pronounce the German "z" wrong. "s" has its different pronounciations depending on its position within the word, but "z" is ALWAYS pronounced as "ts".
