Towel suggestion, have a look at dock & bay towels. Quick drying, actually dry you, fold up really small & light, plus sand doesn’t stick to them. Highly recommend them 🙂 I love mine for travel

I have anxiety and am very introverted, very much like you actually. But your solo travels have given me the courage to seriously consider solo travelling one day too. Your coach experience and not wanting to say anything to the person who was in your seat was funny to me because it's the sort of thing I struggle with as well. Haha.

Coach rides are something else! I have been on a couple coach rides in the past because they are much cheaper than anything else and they are always an experience. They are never quite comfortable, there are so many people and the bathrooms ALWAYS smell horrible, but I enjoy being able to look outside and just take it a bit slower. Enjoy the journey to my destination. The longest journey I have been on was from NYC to Minneapolis, which took 25 hours in total. Completely drained me, but I would do it again.

Yes an experience on the coach , I have travelled London to Glasgow on one its ok if you have a spare seat to curl up across for a kip , could do with an extra stop for a break to stretch your legs , London to Belfast on a coach is certainly an experience (15 hours) but I enjoyed that better.

A lovely video! It just popped up on my feed as a recommendation, probably because I subscribe to a lot of Scottish channels. Before Covid I used to do that overnight coach to Edinburgh twice a month, always with National Express. I would spend the day in Edinburgh and then return the following night - quite tiring! And boy did I sleep well on the return journey! However, I'm 6' tall so curling up across two seats is not an option. Believe me, I've tried! My recommendation would always be to get in line to board as soon as the departure time approaches so as to get a good seat. I have tried to book a seat when buying the ticket and have always been told that's not possible. Further, the seats directly behind the driver, on both sides of the aisle, are supposed to be kept for the second driver and passengers with mobility issues. Thank you for the video, I enjoyed it very much! 👍😘

i took the 24 hour bus from Vientiane to Hanoi for the lolz. It also had a crazy mountain border in the middle of nowhere to cross but it was so much fun as it was one big adventure and there were a few crazy backpackers with me to make it fun. In the UK i would have just took the train as i find them more relaxing and well connected but props to you for wanting to try a overnight bus.

@@HollyGabrielle i was literally just watching some vlogs of people doing the same the 24 hours vientiene to hanoi bus i took and its brings back memories and even though it was a long trip i was remember felling truly gratefull for the experience and the bus driver /company to providing it. So i'm suprised that your callling your trip the worst ever in the title as you said it was ok in the video. Kinda unfair on national express as they aren't a bad company and to the driver who spent 10 hour shift driving you up.

This was fun to watch!! I love Edinburgh 😊 I laughed at the coach station sign, though. They translated departures with "Abflüge" in German. Which would be correct... at an airport. Because "Flüge" means "flights" 😅

Megabus is cheaper but so much worse than National Express. I got a Megabus from my hometown to London during university holidays for £5. It was 2 hours and that was enough. I think my packed lunch/dinner made by my mum was the only thing that made the journey less uncomfortable. Then London to my university city on National Express; a lot better but the price was a lot more. But it was 4 plus hours (I think 6 hours) so that explains the price a bit.
