Reminds me of the times in RCT3 where I would build a max height vertical rollercoaster that launched the customer across the map into a 1x1 pool. People missed sometimes and eventually even my conscience couldn't take it, so I made the pretzels 75¢.

RollerCoaster Tycoon World is the SimCity 5 of theme park games. Parkitect is the SimCity 3/4 and Planet Coaster (being the best) is the Cities: Skylines.

I was already impressed by Parkitect. It's cute, although the coloring needs some work. The colors were way too harsh. But Planet Coaster blew my mind, especially after dark. Just add more stuff- Terrain tools, water( just like Dan I'm obsessed with water in games ) theme rides- and it'd be perfect

I really frustrates me watching him play Parkitect. I make a park, have a line of rides which are doing really well and I get bored and say what an uninteresting simple game. He plays it and makes the most simple thing look amazing and inspires me to try it again. I know it will result in me making another park with another line of rides..

Parkitect gives me the feeling of Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 (mostly because of the grid-based system).
Planet Coaster gives me the feeling of Cities: Skylines.

The only thing I do like about RCTW is building a coaster, except for when my wild coasters fail. I just like the mechanics of 3D building it. I do think this video has convinced me to try Parkitech it's rather cute.

now you should do like, "the great big coaster showdown part 2" but compare the roller coaster building systems to see the strengths and weaknesses of each. build a roller coaster with a little themed park around it in roller coaster tycoon 2 or 3 to use as a base to compare them to. then try to rebuild the same sort of park in parkitect, planet coaster, and roller coaster tycoon world. now with parkitect this would be simple because it uses basically the exact same build system as the original roller coaster tycoon games, but with planet coaster and roller coaster tycoon world you can really see the differences and directly compare how one fails while the other succeeds. because that's the only thing i feel this video is missing. comparing the roller coasters.

It's a tough choice between parkitect and planet coaster, because planet coaster has so much detail, but doesn't have the terrain editing in yet, but I think we all can agree on roller coaster tycoon world is the true winner here!

The ONLY thing that can realistically be said about Roller Coaster Tycoon World in it's favour is that it allows you to do more than Zoo Tycoon for Xbox One allowed you to do. But that isn't really saying anything.

Planet coaster has so much more it can do and had many problems but if I went to the place and the blue tiles were water with lights lighting up a large majestic ( not really) ride, fuck yeah. So much could be done with about 45 or 50 minutes and it gave me a thought of putting it in second
Park thingy architect is good with its customization and decoration. It had a lot of potential but I don't think Dan did the best for it. It's water scenery and decoration really flowed the feeling but planet coaster had the large selection and lighting down.

Parkitect is a far better management sim than planet coaster is at the time.
Too many people see planet coaster and think it's the end all be all, when in reality it is very pretty, but lacks the depth that other tycoon games have. No macro management. No late game. No difficulty really. Its a breeze and just a level designer. Its a good game, but hardly a tycoon.

Parkitect feels like the game you get for your young kids to introduce them to the genre. Planet Coaster is the game you can get lost in, playing for a three-day weekend. Roller Coaster Tycoon World is a finger fidget game for a rainy Sunday when you just want to waste time.
