Jeep Wrangler TJ SOUND BAR INSTALLATION, wire harness issues, side marker light fixed.

- Thanks for watching everyone! Here is my sound bar I picked up for $60 used. I was able to wire it up and it works! I had issues with my wire harness on my Jeep. It looked like the wires were cut but I was able to make it work. I still have issues with the dome light wanting to stay on, even with the doors close. Kinda strange. If you know what is going on let me know in the comments below.

Thanks Fltech! Trying do more variety In the filming. Each video doing something different. And I have done some wiring when I did my kayak and trailer. It's always tricky. The dome light is bugging me but I will figure it out later. Lol thank for your continued support! It helps me a bunch getting over those newbie hurdles starting out!

Really dumb question but I’m really new to Jeep’s and I just got a tj with no sound bar and I just picked one up yesterday. The padding on the roll bar, is there a different rear section for sound vs no sound from factory?

What year is your jeep? The dome light might have a delay dim like my '06 does.
Mine is a 1998. I'm not sure what I did to fix it. I need to go back and watch the video again to jog my memory lol

Where is the harness originated from? Might get one and install one soon. I guess where can I find the harness in the jeep?
Sorry for the late reply. I never got a notification. I dont remember where the harness is from. Im sorry! sold the TJ awhile back. In a JK now.
What size are the torque screws for the sound bar???

Do you think the door switch is broken or shorted out? Might explain the light staying on.
It's possible. I need to look into both door switches. It might not be a bad thing since I run with my doors off often. I might put in a manual switch for the dome light.
Where does the sound bar plugs into
I'm not sure actually. My Jeep had the wires run to the top of the roll bar from a previous soundbar. I just had to modify the cords because the plug was cut off.
Come on guy you can set in most any car with the doors closed and turn the dome light on and off, figure out how your model works. Maybe the owners Manual will help.
