  • Hey everyone! Joytutus sent me some new LED headlights to try out on the Jeep TJ. The look great on the Jeep. I love the newer look. They are super bright and my favorite part is the halo yellow turn signal.

    For anyone searching the correct way to wire the drl and halo, this is the one!
    I've watched about 10 other videos for guidance, and it blows my mind that you're the only one that connects directly from the turn signal circuit. Everyone else runs from either the fuse box under the hood or behind the glove box. Why do that? Just extra work!
    Great job and thanks for the help!

    Isn't there a way you can wire the halos to automatically come on when you turn the ignition on? I'm tempted to buy these headlights but I don't really care to have turn on the parking lights and brakes lights in order for the halo's to come on.

    • @jones_edition
      @jones_edition  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes there is. I found several other videos on TH-cam that people want that. I think they wire to the fuse box to like the radio or fuel pump fuses. You need to get an add a fuse from an auto part store. I didn't want them all the time. I wanted them only for a parking light. Good luck!

    Great and informative video. On the driver side my wiring diagram shows green/yellow wire for turn signal and the black/yellow for side marker parking light for halos as the powered wires to splice to. Was this your experience as well? Or was the tan/peach wire you used on passenger side for turn signal also used on drivers side? There are 3 wires coming out of the turn signal marker plug? Any information would be awesome

    • @jones_edition
      @jones_edition  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't add any other fuses. I wired directly to the factory wires.. The factory wires have a Built-in fuse. So I felt like it was pretty safe. Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate a view and comment! It was not a bad project. Took me more time than the video shows but it was pretty straight forward. It all depends on what you want your lights to do. If I can help anymore. Let me know. I think my email is in the description. Good luck!
